- Here's a great video made by our friend Jake Workman, which allows everyone to see and hear three popular models from our Bluegrass Goose series!
A great opportunity to compare the BG-42-GM, BG-52-GM and BG-152-GM models which all feature torrefied Master Grade Adirondack tops and are only distinguished by their different B&S tonewoods.
Tree exceptional dreadnought sized guitars optimized for flat pickers like Jake that were designed to deliver a powerful, precise, and well-balanced sound, nicely complemented with rich harmonics and plenty of overtones.
We are honoured to announce that Jake Workman acquired two Boucher guitars to add to his very selective collection of acoustic guitars!
Special thanks to Jake who generously made this video for all of us to enjoy!

I have a Boucher SG41 and it is the finest guitar that I have played in 66 years of playing guitar!!! Congratulations Robin Boucher , you have built one of the best guitars on the planet!! Nova Scotia loves them!!!
Love those geese!
I've been playing the guitar for 32 years. The first time I cried while playing the guitar was with a Boucher (000 HG-46 model).
All three of those guitars sounds like real banjo killers. Great sounding guitars.
That mahogany guitar really cuts, sounds amazing!
Bouchers always blow me away. My dream guitar.
Good advertising comming from one of the best bluegrass players around
Damn that's consistent across the board
All three sound amazing, Boucher builds some of the best guitars, I ordered a SG-42 last year, it is one of the best guitars I've played, sounds amazing, THANKS to Robin and his crew for building some of the best guitars 🎸 just play one, Jake knows a little bit about Guitars 🎸!
Wow that Brazilian mahogany is a cannon
Love the Bouchers! They all look and sound amazing 👍👍
Got my first Boucher - BG42 - a few weeks ago and I instantly wanted to order another model. They are exceptional in every way!!!
Gald the BG-42 that you received matched your expectations Andy! Thank you for sharing!
I've had my Boucher BG52-GM for 3 weeks now and my mind is blown. Amazing instrument!
Awesome!
I’m getting ready to buy either a Martin D-41 or a Boucher BG-52-GM. Do you mind if I asked how much the Boucher cost you?
All 3 are great sounding guitars. But I think a rogue would sound good in your hands
Beautiful Guitars!
Greetings from Philippines....
Thanks man
Awesome
Heard you ended up buying the 152 GM....are you using it in concerts? Can't wait to see y'all in Memphis in December!!
Hey guys, I’ll be glad to take all three lol. If that is too much though, the Madagascar and mahogany call my name very strongly. awesome Guitars as always! Man, that mahogany…
Thank you Shawn!
Glad that one of these guitars seem to have made a good impression. Such a great opportunity to have Jake play three different versions in one video.
We love all your videos by the way and thank you for the amazing review you did on the SG-22-V. Best regards,
@@LesGuitaresBoucher I am humbled that you guys took the time to write back to me, and watch my video. I love all three of those guitars, and think you are doing some of the best work in The business today!
@@ShawnBrockMusic We love all your videos Shawn and the one you did on the SG-22-V was spot on! Really great work! Thank you very much your your kinds comments. It means a lot!
They all sound the same pretty much. Nice picking.
Wonder if anyone sells Boucher Guitars in the U.S. something to consider before buying that Martin you always wanted that's for sure.
What is the best sounding guitar u have played
How do these Boucher guitar compare to your collins
Brothers, good instruments you're making. Why do you not use yellow or sweet birch for the back and sides? It could even be baked dark for fingerboards, and resin impregnated to simulate ebony. Maybe dogwood or something in your area is suitable. Necks could be sugar maple (hard maple), but black walnut would be nicer. That way you have a truly green and sustainable guitar. Leave Honduras Mahogany to regenerate. Please!
Are you a dealer? I love the sound of that last one…BG 152 GM….awesome! Where can I play one? Is it a torrified top?…..I don’t want that! Thanks🤗
Hello Craig,
We are the builder!
You can play our guitars in various authorized Boucher dealers. You can find the list of dealers on our website. Boucherguitars.com
You can inquire about the BG-152 or BG-152-M if you wish to find the equivalent model without the torrefied top. Please contact Nick at Tune Up Guitars, he just received the BG-152. www.tuneupguitars.com/product/boucher-bg-152-madagascar-rosewood-adirondack-dreadnought/85?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false
So beautiful!! Want that BG42. Which one comes close to the D18? I own a D18 but want a similar Boucher!!
The first one!
Hello Jasper,
Yes the BG-42 is the closest equivalent since it has mahogany back and sides. You should be very satisfied with the lightness and tone of the Brazilian mahogany that we use. Especially since we only use voiced AAAA and Master grade Adirondack tops. Thank you for watching!
Similar . It won’t be similar . It will be much better. No comparison. Boucher’s are in a total different league. In my opinion. Still,Martin are great guitars . You just need to find that special one .
