Watched this in prep for my son's pin removal. I feel the nurse could of done a better job supporting the girls arm when they renoved her cast. Her arm was weak from wearing the cast and she was struggling to hold it up. Poor girl needed someone to help restraint and comfort her.
I almost got the pin on one of my wrists this year if I accidentally damaged my arm more, but luckily I never did.
I think she did good besides that and and she let her know that it didn't really hurt prese it was just sore cause she didn't move it for so long. It been a year now, how did your son handle getting his pins out?
@@koentalks2888 he did ok. He did cry in pain but did a good job not squirming around. I called off that day cause I wanted hold and comfort him. I didn't get the chance the assistant nurse took my spot😑. He doing well now, playing baseball like it never happened.
She wasn't resisting in any way despite the crying. Unnecessary restraint would have made everything worse.

It doesn’t always hurt that bad actually sometimes when you have a cast on for a certain amount of time when it comes out it hurts and for other people it doesn’t I had to do the same exact thing and oh my gosh I feel her pain it hurt so bad

Watched because I was fascinated to see pins, but poor girl it hurt hearing her cry, protective uncle mode kicked in and I know what it's like to be a kid in pain, not fun. I'm currently 18, but I remember when I was 4 one of my first vivid memories I broke my arm it was a very very bad break and I had a cast for about 6-7 and a half months I dont remember exactly what they did, but my one part of the bone was hanging off the other and I'm pretty sure they had to attach it back on and they used whatever to keep it in place and let it heal. I remember having a few pins, but I dont remember them taking it out, but I do remember having like a good amouth of these like tiny wood looking needle things where my scar was that hurt at the time when I took them out. Looking back at it was most likely just a pinching type feeling. But since I was young any pain pretty much made me cry lol. Also geez those were long pins. I was cringing cause I felt like I could feel her pain. She took it like a true warrior tho!
