Actually I'm disappointed by your review. I loved this film. As a person who had read aadujeevitham multiple times, I must say the making of the movie is fantastic.Nobody can do anything more than this, this is the perfect scale. Blessy is a genius in that way. I'm sorry to say this guys, but now I feel like I have more film sense than you guys.

What do you mean by "It's not Malaikottai Vaaliban". This is real life, you cannot dramatise or have embellished moments beyond a point. The book speaks from a first person narrative which is why you could understand the psyche of the protagonist. Films can only convey those through visuals. Everything cannot be spoonfed.

Wtf are they saying 😂...why the fuck are they even comparing the movie too much to the literature...the book has 43 chapters and how the they bring every small small detailing to film...blessy itself told that this is not a documentary or copying the book..they uses book as an adaptation for the movie...they already said that their is differences between movie and book...Also beniyamin told that the book is also not 100 percent accurate as compared to what najeeb went through...as a writer he added something additional which will help him and the novel as a writer..

Review of a review. It was functional, it was shallow in parts where they talk about Rehman and his music, it had repetitive use of conjunctions and lacked good vocabulary. If you wish to speak from your experience of the movie, speak with clarity of your experience. If you wish to speak as expert, train your self to do so.

Honestly the basic difference between the reviews you guys make and the veterans in the domain of film critiquing is that, the “review” you guys make is basically comparing the movie you expected, to the actual movie. This is in contrast to good critiques who actually “critique” the movie rather than just giving some random alternative from their imagination. I was extremely annoyed by the number of times one of the reviewers said “I was expecting”😅.

I watched this movie in Toronto along with people from various places. There were non malayalees also. I was able to see people weeping at the end of this movie. Still if these two guys didn’t feel any emotional connect to this movie, there’s some serious problem going on in their brains..lol

Must watch in theaters. There are no words to say about Prithviraj acting; you will feel Prithviraj acting when you watch the film. The camera work is extraordinary in every scene. Music by AR Rahman Needless to say about his music. This movie will be slow for a normal audience. If you like art movies, then this movie is for you. Everything is super in this movie. Don't miss it in the theater. This movie will need more recognition. Movie is 3hrs but I never feel like 3hrs.I feel like just a 2-hour movie. Ithanda cinema

I have been watching Vishal for a long time, so this review is actually baffling tbh. Blessy has adapted the book beautifully into this film. They did shy away from the more harsh parts of the book, and made it more acceptable for the audience. For example, the male goat castration and such would have been too gruesome for an audience to witness on the big screen.

This is what I felt exactly what I felt. First half or first two segments of his life has to be filled with more of genuine emotions and moments. Especially, the first day should be filled with more of his sadness and emotions. If that would have worked well then the emotion will carry the characters dessert cross more curious and breathtaking and each of Najee’s breath would feel us more painfully. Hindi vaala and Hakkim characters made lower Najeeb’s character a lot.
Blessys strong area didn’t work well in the first half.
Second half or precisely last 1 hour is outstanding and an appeal to the world cinema. Actors and technicians done well so well.
Body weight loss and 16 ys wait or dedication is not the real measure or yardstick of a creation. The so called movie lovers should understand that first. Doesn’t really matter if the emotion is not conveyed well.
Decided to stop following Film companion. You need people who understand Cinema to do cinema reviews. Its the adapatation of a big book and we cannot cover everything in a small movie. It shohld have been made as a series to cover everything including the psychological effects. But still movie conveyed that also in a subtle manner. You need to grow up to understand that. Aadujeevitham is an absolute classic.❤

Aadujeevitham is NOT the type of movie that is loved by some people and hated by some others....It's a great movie which is loved by everyone and you can see that from the other reviews and the positive comments from this post itself. Here I criticized the way they did the review stating the movie is good but they are expecting some thing more from this film and comparing with the actual novel. That's not the right way to do it. A bad review from a channel like film companion with 700k plus subscribers may badly impact the collection of a great movie which is the effort of 16 long years. Also I am not against any freedom of speech and I am also sharing my views as part of the freedom of speech i have...

As a person who has read the book more than twenty times, I understand there must be missing details and variations, it is impossible to enlive what we experienced in our mind while reading the book to a movie similar to the core. As an adaptation, they have succeeded in bringing to life what they have envisioned the story and characters to be.
I am amazed at your review. I agree that you may have your own views. Anyone can be a critic. It always easy to criticize something, rather than appreciate . For someone who read the novel and then went to see the film, it was refreshing to say the least. How the story was treated in cinema was amazing. Blessy needs appreciation for that. It was masterpiece in direction. Prithvi gave life to the main character. It was superb. Music and sound effects were amazing, and must watch in theaters. Cinematography made some scenes stunning. There are many scenes where Prithvi was alone in the screen, without any human characters , which never made the scene dull, thanks to acting, music and cinematography. It was just a visual treat , and you never feel like coming out of the theatre. You really want to sit there and allow everything to sink in.

Good review. Can relate to some of the things said. Like the too simple part.
Those who read the book. Don't expect everything to be there in the film. The core emotion is what is derived from the book and also the major events are depicted. Aadujeevitham is a cinematic masterpiece ❤️. Do not miss this one. Also the only downside of the film is, it should've been 3 and half hours or something. When movies like Animal have such a runtime and when the movie is collecting a lot. An epic survival story like this deserves that length.
