I had a Honda 300 4x4 that I bought new in 1994 and kept for a year till the 400 Foreman came out and I bought it to prove to a bunch that it wasn't the bike it's self that wouldn't go through the mud here The guy I was trying to out do on his was running the OG Black Waters and I put 26" Bi-Claws s/w on mine and it was badass. For back then it was the the ice cream on the cake And you are so right saying ATVs have come a long way, but if you really think they started out being 3-wheelers in the late 1970s, I think it was 1978-79 Honda made the huge tire 90cc with the tiny lil wheels. I myself started with a Honda 110cc ATC in 1982, I was a sophomore in high school. Great video love watching ya ride that older ATV brought back some great memories
The perfect description of a trx300fw: "You cant kill the mother fucker, cant steer the mother fucking neither" I did the washer mod to mine. Makes it engage a lot more, but not fully "locked". Wish i could find a warn/wide-open 424 unit for it (solves that hard steering when you don't need 4x4 mode)
Well that yellow Honda has all of that as well, but DCT doesn't have belts that you might have to maintenance down the line. Just change the diff oil and the engine oil and you're good!
I went from a polaris sportsman 6x6 to a honda 300 because I couldn't keep the 6x6 running. My honda has been through ponds and even melted in a fire. Can't kill it

Honda will out do any of them on the long run at lest you can play about with 🔧tools with the honda classic them new ones you need to put a laptop on them to start them 💭👍🤑
I'm so sick of our 420, it has a bunch a power but it's like we always need a battery for it to run, it's not like a 300 where batteries aren't required at all and fuel injection on our 2008 420 is great not having to tune anything but jeez batteries are expensive Duracell sucks sometimes
@@tebibyte2357 how many miles does it have? My brothers 420 has 7k miles and something makes the battery go dead. His has went through so much too though. My dad had a 350 and it had like 10k miles and his went through a lot too lol most of the plastic was gone on it.

No, it’s a real ATV. It’s one of the first ones. It ain’t no crappy Can-Am piece of crap. I got a Can-Am and it’s been broke over 100 times that’s why it sits in the garage collecting dust while all my Hondas continue to run.
@@OleNasty79 never had an issue with that. Only use 1st gear when the need arises. The full time four wheel drive is still pretty easy to sling through turns if ya know how to ride it. I'm always losing my riding partner on his 570 polaris through the turns. He just gets me on the straights.
Not meant to be taken as an insult just as you were never thrown on an old Honda Yamaha kawasaki any of the old time atvs that we’re all 5 up neutral on bottom and a push button and or pull start old hondas and Yamahas were and still are tanks!
Hey man quick question I’ve had mine deep deep plenty of times but just recently not even deep at all at the River maybe just up to the top of the stock muffler I died in the water like idk maybe a quick hesitation I did not throttling from reverse to low or what but it sputtered them a loud pop pulled it out it was a bitch to get turned over like wide open throttle to Let gas in the. I felt like I was gonna burn my starter trying to get it going again finally it did but it was a awhile till it was full power felt like it was bogged down a lot checked the air box it was dry checked everything and it was dry , just wondering if you could relate it seems to be all good now but man it was scary for a second there . Do you think the pipe just ingested some a little or what but then I see you like idling in deeps shit so idk , help me ol nasty lol

Honda is the most durable bike on the market. The 300 is a freaking tank. I've owned Hondas mostly. Owned a Yamaha and couple of Kawasakis with decent durability. My choice would be Honda ,Kawasaki, Yamaha, Can am followed by Polaris.

That honda 300 will take way more abuse than any of those polaris and they will take u home everytime

Just a grab handle, it helps when you're in deep mud and need something else to hold when you're rocking back and forth.
