Great to see a young person sewing. If you hand sew your hems you would avoid the bubbling and puffing from the stretched fabric. You could use a tape or clear elastic or paper to support hem seems and prevent the bubbly hems.
I think I was maybe holding it a little too tight and stretching it slightly while I sewed. A walking foot would have been good to have! But I pressed them afterwards and they look a lot less wavy now.
Hi Emily. I have the same serger and cannot say enough good things about it. LOVE!!!! Thank you for such a great video. I love loungewear and really like free patterns. Yours tuned out adorable. 💗
Hi Emily! Could you explain how you determined which part is between the knee and the ankle of the pattern (not sure if there's an appropriate place to lengthen). I'm new to sewing and the first pair I made I lengthened at the hem which I think has given the trousers a wider shape than intended. Thank you
For sure! Usually patterns will have a notch at the knee so you can tell where it is, but I just double checked and this one doesn't have that. So iirc I probably just guestimated somewhere around 2/3 down the leg and drew a horizontal line at that point.
I'm planning on making a robe in a similar-ish fabric... how did you like the serged insides to this? Did it make it uncomfortable or scratchy? I'm considering doing serged seams or french seams and I can't tell if it would be worth the extra effort for the french seams. Plus, I'm not sure how you would do a french seam for a robe's underarm point where it's a square point. Anyway, just thought I'd ask your experience with how it feels inside. EDIT - sewing and the city has a tutorial called "French seams on a 90° angle" or similar and I think it's perfect and helpful!
Hello, I’ve just cut this powder and out and the shoulder seams don’t match up. I’ve been checking on the Internet and I’ve seen several other bloggers that there’s did not as well so I’m wondering if this is a pattern issue. I checked the measurements before printing it all and they were finematched up so I’m wondering, did you have a problem and cut them down to size? Thank you so much the beautiful.
Hi! Sorry, it’s been a while since I made the pattern so I don’t remember. If the pattern pieces match, it might mean that the fabric is stretching if it’s cut diagonally (on the bias). Stay stitching your pieces could help avoid this.

Oooh this is lovely
Love!
I love you fabric choices and colors.
Would you recommend making this set in a warmer fabric for autumn and winter? And if yes, which fabric would you use? Thanks a lot!
Sure, maybe something like a flannel would work well for the cooler months!
