I would never trade that Mantle, that would be a cash only and I would charge at the least 20% above the last comp just based on how Hot Mantle is, Geoff more or less stole that card.

Vintage rarely loses value and dude got 2 PSA 10 cards but a 1956 Mantle PSA 8 is not bad either

Just getting back into collecting again and getting out my old boxes of baseball cards. They were all in straight rows neat and nice but I'm starting to find more and more sections of cards in the boxes that are stuck together pretty good. I peeled a couple of them apart but I'm getting small white dots from the ink coming off. What's a better way to get them apart without ruining the ink? Any ideas? Please and thank you ‼️

Whats the best way to get a collection going? Buying singles on ebay and sites or ripping packs? Want to be able to trade some of these big cards like in the videos but unsure where to start in the hobby

Honestly if your starting out I would buy singles and packs. Hope for a hit and trade. But buying singles seems to work more consistently… at least for me. I couldn’t pull bubblegum in a bubblegum pack

He has the money to buy another 51 Bowman Mantle whenever he wants to. They're are way more 51 Bowman Mantles than that Curry RPA. Basic Supply/Demand Strategy.
@@bradscardsandcollectibles1596 Why buy a Mantle if he isn't going to keep it? He'll just trade this Mantle off, too. There's really no strategy to what he does, and most of what he does is speculate, because most of the stuff on his channel is modern cards. Far stretch from an investor.
LIQUIDITY.... He will always be able to move a mantle. Most of the modern stuff he buys is also pretty proven players who have cemented their legacy already. The occasional prospecting he does is a calculated risk he can afford to take a loss on.
@@bradscardsandcollectibles1596 His Mantle rookie in a PSA5 had even less copies than that 1956 Mantle in a PSA8, and even less than that of all of Currys RPA cards combined. Mantles rookie is even far more scarce in a PSA7 and PSA8 grade than that of his 1956 Topps and even of all the Curry RPA cards. My point is: if he wanted Mantle again, why didn't he just chase a Mantle rookie in a PSA7 or PSA8 for an upgrade? It makes no sense to me, but it's his money, so to each their own.

If Ridder has a breakout season it was a good gamble. Kobes prices are pretty much solidified after his passing. They will continue to rise with time, but the immediate gain isn't as big as the potential the ridder auto will have if he performs.
@@bradscardsandcollectibles1596 that’s a big IF for ridder. Even Geoff coworkers couldn’t believe he spent that much on that card. He bought with his heart bc he’s a falcons fan. Kobe is solidified his value, ridder with a qb rating of 49.8 is not.
I agree 100% but what you have to understand is that Geoff spending $20k on an unproven rookie is equivalent to most people spending $50 on an unproven rookie. The man has alot of zeros in his bank account. It's all calculated and he won't be hurting at all if Ridder is a bust.
It be so cool if you can make it to a card show in Utah. If you can I’d be happy to show you my Arizona diamond back collection. I know a lot of people laugh at that team but I was born in Arizona and my very first mlb game was with my father at the chase field.

Young kids can't get involved unless dad or mom's is rich ...hell a pack of cards with anything is 30. Plus a box is over 300.00 ...and that's a cheap one it's sad.

Your right but most of the time kids that have huge cards like this have wealthy parents but I’ve started small with 5 dollar cards as my most expensive and now I have a lot of money put into cards where now I built myself a card buisness when I started with no money
