TLDR: Long gun (stocked/shouldered firearm) with a rifled barrel firing a high velocity lower/mid caliber projectile.
A rifle is dependent on the "rifling" of the barrel, the spiral cut inside the barrel, that imparts spin on the projectile as it pushes through. The spin stabilizes the round in flight. If it starts to push out to one side the aerodynamic forces push the round back towards center, nose in.
As opposed to the smoothbore barrels that were prevalent because of their easier manufacture. This was done for long guns first, because they have the sight radius (distance between front and back sight post) to make best use of the increased accuracy at distance.
Then we can quibble over the semantics of a shotgun with a rifled barrel versus a 'rifle'. That comes down to caliber and velocity.

It also varies depending on specific country/language as in English any rifled gun is rifle exmp. 16inch naval guns on battleships are rifled so they are rifles.
For build suggestion: full cryo?
The Sawn-off Upgrade for rifles basically turn them into shotguns that fire 4 bullets at once. Actually really nice on the M1000.
5:49- a shotgun isn’t a rifle but generally shotguns are in the category of “long guns” and so are rifles.

I think a build where you choose pickup range every time it shows up could be fun.
I had the unstable overclock that said "shoot more bullets" for the m1000 once and it made it fire 3 bullets per shot so I'm thinking that may have been the better choice since it was only a -10 accuracy. You should try it out sometime lol.

What did you pick with the Granades to kill bosses? I can blast the enemies so hard like forever but the bosses are an issue then.
Love your videos! I was playing with incendiary grenade build today and i was having some problem with the reload mechanism. I had tons of reload speed but sometimes the dwarf just runs but doesnt throw the grenades. Anyone else had the problem?
Have you done a full grenade build but not using the split overclock? Would be cool to see how much damage each type can do with a single explosion

But I feel the other Overclock is better. It seems like they don't give all the info on Overclocks. The other one turns your rifle into a shotgun rifle. It keeps the fire rate, but every shot shoots 3 or 4 bullets instead of one. I was trampling over the bugs with it. 😁😁

The game needs more options for unstable OCs
The 4th hazard on the first map says u need to get lvl 55 with the scout. No matter how hard i tfy i just cant figure out how to do it. Do you have any tipps and tricks by any chance??
Not killing the final bosses of each stage too quickly so that you have a lot of time to kill more mobs (with the help of explody boys if needed) and get a lot more levels.
Also picking up +xp cards whenever possible, especially on the first few floors.

@@karlipeters3472 level burst rifle to 18 and that base weapon to 18. put on cold grenades and ice drone, don't level them. choose XP up whenever you see it.

Trying max possible level XP gains pick up radius stay on stage the longest possible.
the missed drop was on your screen more than once you were just talking about slows and damage and kept not noticing the ping over and over as you circled back several times in was on the right side of the screen was very sad
