    wish I knew how to add a picture. I didn't have enough browns so I made a switchplate out of sparkley blues and I get a lot of compliments.

    Thank you for making a UA-cam that gave the recipe and instructions that were detailed and were slow enough to be followed. Normally I do not like UA-cams, yours is the first. The only thing I could say to add is the recipe in the "Show More" section. I also see now where others have gotten their recipe and are unwilling to share - from you.

    this is perfect! I have so much "wrong color" clay from color mixing, so I am going to turn it all into wood grain, all the clay is brown or beige too because I was trying to make a nice caramel brown color, I am almost there but for the wrong colors I am going to make this wood grain to use for my doll house! YAY, clay NEVER goes to waste :)

    • @DRN
      @DRN  8 років тому +2

      Yes I also hate when clay is wasted, so I always save my scraps, then some day you get the idea for just what to make :-)

    Very cool! It reminded me of the big sheets of veneer or plywood, where you get the repeating pattern of grain lines and knots.

    Wow, that's awesome! I just bought a pound of polymer clay to (hopefully) make custom decor for my aquarium. I can't afford to buy all the different colors of clay for my purposes and will just paint the finished products, but this is cool!

    • @DRN
      @DRN  5 років тому +1

      Thank you, well painting your done item is also a great way of doing it! just remember if it is for a aquarium, that the fish can't have all kinds of paint, some paints will kill them

    • @EllenJB
      @EllenJB 4 роки тому

      You can color clay with alcohol inks. Flatten out some clay and put a few drops of the alcohol ink on it, and spread it around. Let it dry. Then roll, squeeze...do whatever to blend the ink into the clay. Feel free to experiment with blending colors of ink. (you should wear old clothes and gloves, as you may end up wearing some ink!)

    I don’t see where the sizes are for these pieces. You used a ruler to make them, but don’t tell us.

    • @DRN
      @DRN  7 років тому +1

      Sorry I don't understand your question? I don't use a ruler in this video..
      If it is the ruler you see under the clay in the start, then that is just my 1:12 ruler, that I once had taped to my worke area..
      there isnt any special sizez for the clay I use, that is all up to you, if you want much of the cane use big pieces, and if you only want a little of the cane, youse small pieces

    • @judigambaro1423
      @judigambaro1423 7 років тому +1

      Daniela mini omg! Thank you for replying so quickly! I never thought you’d even answer much less so fast! I just thought I’d throw it up there in hopes... ;)
      I meant the size of the larger piece which you used for the flat. The size of the smaller one you rolled up? It looks like they are about 3”x 4” and 2”x 4”? Does that make more sense?
      I’ve played around with canes last winter but didn’t have much luck since I was trying snowflakes; they came out all distorted!
      Also, I have these 4 “fall” colors I made up for a Mushroom Lamp; a medium red-brown, a medium brown, a moss green, & a light tan. Does the green mess it up? Should I take it out & use the other colors & blend some white into maybe the red?

    • @judigambaro1423
      @judigambaro1423 7 років тому

      Daniela mini you had some kind of measuring type thing on the lower part of the frame near your hands when you were piecing the four colors together.

    • @DRN
      @DRN  7 років тому

      Judi Gambaro I actually try to answer all my coment 😋that is my way of service, and I was just sitting uploading, as you commented my video. Ahh okay well actually I just make it with what I have, this way it will be more natural looking, and you will never be able to make this cane exact the same twice...
      Here I just show it rufly how to, and then you go make it your own 👍🏻
      Hope that was help enough

    • @judigambaro1423
      @judigambaro1423 7 років тому +1

      Yes, I think I understand what you meant. I just use the sizes of the pieces I have so it’s more natural looking, not exactly this size or that.

      Hi Angel Terry :-)
      This is made of polymer clay, so it have to be baken at some point, I make the cane, and slice it to use it for different things, then when I'm done with the thing I made, I bake it :-) I hope this will help you!
      Sadly I can't see alle the pictures of things you like me to make, I only see squares, so please write down with words what you like me to make :-)
