How good espresso good it make and how long do you hold the lever. How do you know how long to hold it. I have seen one for sale for $180
    Is that a good price?

Hi, thanks for posting. I recently received this exact machine from a family member that purchased it while living in Italy in the early 1970's, I think - and lovingly maintained it ever since. I have a modern double boiler machine (Rocket R58), and I'm familiar with pump espresso machines, but this is my first lever pump. After working on my grind, I do get good shots, but not a lot of volume. It takes three pumps or more to get 40 ml or so. (Maybe that's normal?) I'm using the double shot basket. I'm wondering how to adjust the pump volume like you mentioned in the video. I'm not sure where it is currently adjusted.

A bit late of a reply... but, I'll try to help if anyone else may read this comment!
If it's anything like the La Pavoni Europiccola lever machine I have, which I believe it is similar. You don't really get a huge volume out but they do make really good ristretto shots!
I do 16g in and get about 30g out usually on my machine so less than 1:2 ratio, but even with a very light roast it turns out nice and also because it's more concentrated it has good body too!
The key is to let the chamber fill up and for the water to saturate the coffee bed with a nice long pre-infusion before letting up on the lever.
If you did want a different brew ratio, using less coffee would result in more room for the water, so you'll end up with more water passing through a smaller amount of coffee, so more like 1:3 is possible.
For a larger volume out with the same amount of coffee, you can also do a Felleni move where you start to pull the lever (or release it in this machines case) and then put it back down so it fills up more, I'm not sure if that's really ideal though. I tried once or twice and had poor results but maybe there's a method to it.
