what happened with metro and bullet train projects due to state govt blocking it? Centre can make plans, give funds. But final physical infra is by help from state govt only. Double engine sarkaar is a real model.

and my father had told me about this project as it is very old , from indira Gandhi's time or something.
And people here in VADHVAN( वाढवणं ) have been opposing this project from long time , according to them they might get relocated and it is not good for sea bed ( coral reef) and stuff , and if you come visit DAHANU and vadhvan you will still see { STOP VADHAVAN PORT } written on walls..

But Vizhijam Port in Kerala has only the advantage of International Major Shipping Line which is just 10-15 Nautical miles. It’s not easy to divert the mother ships to Vadhavan port as it is in Maharashtra. No other port except Vizhijam Port has this advantage currently in India

it is about geography .... south got isro/drdo as it is far from pakistan and china ..... western coasts are deep so they are naturally good for big massive ports .... eastern coasts are shallow it will benefit from tourism so they should work for that

Main test centers are in Orrissa, Rajasthan (Pokhran), Ladakh, WB. Eastern coast has many major ports including Chennai in TN, Paradip in Orrisa, Kolkata in WB. As Andhra gets more industrialized major port may be built in Andhra also, currently there are several minor ports in Andhra.
CBN & PK will surely bring development to Andhra

Why no sea port in West Bengal. This will be a boon not only for this state but also for northeast and eastern region of India. Discrepancy in development of India will only bring unrest. This govt ignoring laying more greenfield track similar to NHAI where 4 and 6 lines or 4 plus 4 elevated lines required across India. This will address new high speed, semi high speed line for both passenger and freight segment.
Only symbolic Vande Bharat or bullet train not going to address the issue of widening demand supply gap in passengers segment.
