• Yamaha P-225 Digital P...
The Yamaha P-225 is a stylish digital piano with the playing feel of a full-fledged grand and a compact body equipped with useful features for practicing. Featuring a short and thin body design with a compact style, this model looks beautiful from any angle and blends in well with any room. The 88-key GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard is built to uncompromising standards and offers a weighted acoustic piano-like playing feel. In addition, the P-225 features the sounds of Yamaha's premier concert grand piano, the CFX, and uses Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite technology to replicate the expressive moment-by-moment tonal changes that occur in a real grand piano. A dedicated optional stand and three-pedal unit are also available for a more authentic performance experience.
Yamaha's Smart Pianist app for iOS allows you to control the functions of your P-225 with your iOS device for intuitive and easy operation. Smart Pianist can also analyze the songs in your iPad or iPhone music library and display the chord symbols so that you can play along with your favorite tunes. The Rec'n'Share app lets you easily record sound and video,2 and upload your own performances for sharing on platforms such as UA-cam and TikTok (apps require Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter and USB cable).

Great showcase as always from Gabriel
Hermoso piano😊muy buen canal. Felicitaciones 👍
Great review and planning on buying this keyboard. The included apps look fantastic. I also own a Juno DS 88key. Has anyone else compared the grand piano instruments between the Juno DS and P-225?
Juno-DS88 loses in piano sound quality against any digital piano like P-125, P-225, FP30X, FP60X, and so forth, because it is designed to be a sonic "Swiss Army Knife" for all manner of situations and live performance, even for you to be a "one-man band". P-225 is a dedicated piano, acoustic piano sounds are the whole point, and the extra sounds are just little bonuses. In the Juno, acoustic piano sounds are 3% of the keyboard and not the whole point of the instrument.
These digital pianos even kill the flagship Montage and Fantom workstation keyboards at acoustic piano, they kill the entry-level Juno-DS88 even more.
Will Yamaha release a P221 to replace the P121? I would love a 73 key version for greater portability & the CFX sample!
61 and 73 key versions,🥰
What's the best way(or how ru[ur] supposed)tooo differenciate between all these kinds of Yamaha kybds that there are kid's¡!
Will there be a 73 key version to replace the P121? I live in a small apartment so space is a consideration.
61 and 73 😍
Time for Yamaha to update the P515.
its done, the p525 is out check it out. It has a new action aswell. I pray that it's lighter than the NWX that is like 85 grams per key which is insanely hard to play , just rediculous.
Of what use is the USB socket in the piano?
Which pedal LP-1 or FC35 is better?
What is different p223 and p225?
Please p221 (61 or 73 keys, battery powered version,) thank you
You said you can have a layer in the upper register and bass in the lower register. How do you do this - when I split it cancelled the layer and vice versa so it appears one or the other? Thanks
Read the manual(s), found on Yamaha's site for all their products.
I did and the manual states that bass voices are not available when layering two voices in different voice groups.
Do we have option to use External speaker by using 3.5mm Jack in Yamaha P 225
Absolutely. A cable like this will break the stereo signal out from the P225B to a mixer or other device. kraftmusic.com/collections/all/products/hosa-cmp-159-stereo-breakout-3-5mm-trs-to-dual-1-4-ts
So I see that the P-255 is discontinued. Is this its successor? If so, why did the number drop from 55 to 25?
Nope. This is is the successor to P125 upgraded To P225
P-255 has no successor for now, as far as I know.
I would like the 61 and 73 key versions, thanks😊
Isn't 88 keys better?
@@DonnieChoi I don't play classical piano so I was hoping for a portable version
Interesting, IMHO it is good move to keep front slim (i.e. without some joke-screen) and instead rely on tablet/phone. Volume slider is not ergonomic (it would be better to have back-front instead of left-right, or a wheel). But one thing made me check the specs, the awkwardly hanging cable -- this keyboard is sort of fresh release and yet it does not have bluetooth connectivity for control? Just BT audio. And it is not only Yamaha, somehow noticing electronics we live around is so incredible painful for all manufacturers.
My serious question is, is there that much of a difference in sound between the p225 and the p125? The next point is that nothing good happens in the keyboard part and most of the Yamaha digital keyboards have keyboard action problems and many crashes? We have to see that compact technology can solve this big problem.
Good question. While I have had no action problems with my P-115, I have played many many clavinovas (grocery chain with pianos at each store, and 11 years leading worship at a seminary) and ALL of them had failures in the velocity response in the action at some point.
There's no sound difference.
This review failed to mention the speaker position upgrade/change, that will probably affect the sound somehow but they didn't say anything, who cares about apps
Si hay diferencia del sonido de piano, los demás casi no
you cant save your reverb, sensitivity and other piano settings without the mobile app. so everytime you restart the piano you'll have to redo everything. so bad :(
Así es, lamentablemente
Can u put chord symbols into the music score?
You can put the chords in your brain and then transfer them through your fingers to the piano.
Hello guys! It's Rec'n'Share ... Not "Wreck Share" or "Wreck and Share" =)
Somehow I felt the shape of the exterior design similar to Casio's.
De todas maneras Yamaha ya hizo pianos con esa orientación de los altavoces hace años
What's the name of the cable used to connect android tablets with the usb of piano.
USB 2 cable, the one we always use to connect a printer to computer
Usb de A a B
Expected overview of the keyboard, not the app.
Will this connect to Android tablets as well as it does with Apple tablets?
It does! The Yamaha Smart Pianist App works with both Android and Apple. Here's a link to more information: usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/pianos/apps/smart_pianist/specs.html#product-tabs
They cock teased these stands. I just got this and went to order the stand and it's pre order right now
R.I.P cfIIIs sampling. Must be the end of an era.
Aun lo tiene el P145
Y'all didn't even review important upgrades like the speaker. All i hear is app reviews
Típico negociante que cree que los usuarios solamente son nuevos en el piano
What is the pivot length of GHC action. Please respond with numbers and not enthusiasm about this action!
My answer (after buying P-225): the pressure needed to press keys close to the fulcrum is a bit higher than for GHS (and definitely more than for PHA-4) but it is not much different.
It is important to hear a bit of criticism of a reviewed digital piano (P-225 is far from the best digital piano, as this review implies). I guess, it is only possible to get in reviews done by real users and not by sellers or Yamaha employees. Too much enthusiasm is not authentic!
this is an overview, not a review.
@@jeje8756 The enthusiasm remains.
Woah! Didn't expect to see you here! Hi😊🎹🎶
@@MERCEDES-BENZS600GUARD_V12 😄 I was desperately looking for some good reviews before ordering P-225. I think that they are all very rudimentary. I will say that GHC is different than GHS. I like it better but there are pieces that I think played better on GHS. Its action is definitely less loud than GHS.
(this reviewer does not bother with such “details”).
The sound of P-225 (and neither are speakers) is not impressive but I love that I have Digital Audio Interface and MIDI audio. I like the form of this new digital piano. I will keep it but only because I have access to the acoustic piano.
Michael
@@mfurman well have you heard of the Yamaha P525? Oh BTW what are the pieces that work best with GHS?🎹🎶
NOT ENOUGH Talking about the Main Specs!! Stands and Apps are Not Main Specs just Added extras!! Important Specs for Gig Musicians are its voice
