Welcome to the third episode of "LICK LIKE"
This series is not about learning the exact licks the artists play. More importantly it's about capturing the artist's vibe and essence and getting licks in their style to incorporate (or steal!) into your own playing and solo's.
In today's Lick Like, we look at the legendary Andy Timmons. What we love about Andy's playing is his use of melody and the way he creates momentum, tension and release by using ascending guitar licks and descending guitar licks, so his solo's always feel like they take you on a journey.
Rich actually used to have an Andy Timmons signature guitar and regrets selling it! But a good neck pickup tone, with a thick sounding overdrive and some delay should get you in the right ballpark along with these 5 licks!

Andy timmons is one of my favorite guitarist.. very underrated though.. if you could break down "cry for you by Andy timmons" it would be great .
