First time seeing any of your vids. Love the video and your ability to show the mistakes made and lessons learned. You’d be surprised how many people won’t do that because they are afraid of criticism. Good on ya brother 🙏
Definitely need a stronger wood like @rallsome said. Might try 1/2”, maybe 3/4” long bolts, though pretty sure 1/2” would be fine, and setting you drill depth just that far using tape like you did so you keep as much wood as possible. Maybe screw them all the way in to the head to get rid of the torque created like you were talking about and I believe the other issue may be the length. The longer it is the more stress there is in the middle when you hit the end like that, or on the end when hitting the center for that matter.
Don’t know if you have a table saw or not but if you do then you could use it to 45 the corners like you did with your chisel. Just have to mark the 45 where you want it then set your blade to a 45 and line it up with the blade. 4 passes and your done. just come back and soften the corners a bit with your plane or sandpaper (if you want) and would save you a bunch of time 🤷🏻♂️
Keep up the effort and positivity boss! 🤙
Thank you my friend! This was an incredibly valuable comment, I’m sure it will help not just me but others making one in the future!
Hope to hear from you in the future bro!👌
The reaction when it snapped was soo real and im glad you kept it in! It was also really funny to watch it go so wrong so quick. Chear up and make a new one
You did exactly the right thing. You learned and fixed it. I so like your vids, keep going, i can't wait to see how far your skills go....
A spokeshave would really help on making the handle
Awesome video! Great job!
Guys I think is ZNA productions Jr
P.S. love the video, keep it up bro
Cream that hole up .... yeah, so wrong.
Hey man idk what your talking about, it’s just wood glue and a hole…😂
so cool to see the innovativeness that you come up with. ways to deal with and learn from problems that come about
Man, that’s what life’s all about!
@@TheApocalypseParty so real. learning from ones mistakes is one thing that i think everyone can appreciate, its part of our nature! to adapt and change and learn. and youre doing an awesome job at it.
@@TheApocalypseParty so real. life just gives new ways to figure things out.
I used to make shit like this when I was a kid back in the early seventies. does anybody remember the tennis ball gun? took both ends off of tin can tape them together put a hole in the end with some lighter fluid then shot the tennis ball out surprised I'm still alive after all the crazy shit we did
Ah, that's a shame. Maybe also try carriage bolts. The heads are round, so they're a bit more of a pain to put in, but they help to disperse the force more.
Good to know! Thanks for the advice👌
at least you learned from your mistake and improved on it.
PS, love your vids and always looking forward to them.
Hickory.
I like kabooms
Who doesn’t?
Try finding a Maple, Ash, or Birch 2x2. $12-20 for a 12 ft baord. those are what baseball bats are made of, might be better at taking impact from a swing.
Good idea, I’ll definitely get some for the next time!
still a great video you got my sub
That was great, I would love to see full version, what weapon do you plan to do next?
The next build I have planned is a Ski Sword from the Fallout video game series! It’s a fun little build that’s gonna be cool to see IRL.
And don’t worry, a full version for the Kanabo club will be coming soon!
@@TheApocalypseParty you've done once spear, will you make training spear?
@@DF12612 good idea, I should definitely do that!
@@TheApocalypseParty my first idea was wooden broomstick handle with taped shortened pool noodle
@@DF12612 I had something similar in mind as well
