Hey guys, so if you have been following my channel for awhile you will know I bought a house in Ghana a few years ago. i have now rented that Ghana home out and moved into an apartment in the city centre. In this video, I will give you a tour of my new Ghana home. I will also share the cost to rent this Ghana home.

My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.

Beautiful! Some decor tips: a huge wall mirror for the living room and two more Ghanaian paintings next to the on the artist gave you. A pillow and blankets for your couch. Other than that it’s gorgeous!

A large mirror at the end of the hallway (the one without windows where you keep your workout gear) would be a great addition. You can put that tray you keep toilet paper in on its side so it takes up less floor space.
I was watching a video showing a plant sales shop in Ghana. I'll go and find it then tell you about it. They may be able to recommend shade tolerant plants that would do well in tropical weather

Nice house. I realised you kept your gas cylinder was in your kitchen. A cylinder should ideally be kept out of the kitchen and in a well ventilation (natural) area-Leaked gases are kept within explosion limits in the natural ventilation.
Through a copper pipe it can be attached to a gas stove from outside. Gas cylinders must always be shielded from heat and ignition sources.
I remember that artist you featured in one of your 'A Day in the Life of' videos. His artwork was brilliant. Simple yet beautiful.

Hi Jas, my suggestion about the wall at the end of the hallway is to buy a beautiful colorful African painting at the art center in Accra and place it there. Also I have the same suggestion for the wall over your headboard. You have so many big empty walls that you can fill with paintings and other African art. Get yourself a makeup vanity with drawers, a big mirror and a seat, so you can put your makeup on, also the drawers help with storing the makeup and creams, so it can look nice and neat and not messy like it looks now.

I love 💕 your life. You are free unlike most of us that live in America 🇺🇸. Your quality of life seems so much better in Australia 🇦🇺 and Ghana 🇬🇭 than most of the people I know here in the U.S.
Nowhere on earth is it free from challenges. Notice how she intentionally keeps her life simple? She seems at peace with her geographical location because that's where she decided she wants to be and she works with her reality.

Try adding a full length mirror to the end f the long hallway with a half cinsile table in frint, add a lamp on d table,a plant or piece of art work or photo.
The mirror will bounce light, make the space feel larger and allow u to see yourself during your work out.

Here's a tip to get rid of ants.....sprinkle ground Cinnamon in the bowl (sprinkle some under the bowl as well). It really works I use it in my home here in Kumasi.

@@JasmineAmaa To get rid of ants put out cinnimon powder/chips. you can also clean the counter tops with xylitol. It's a sugar substitute but ants hates it. They will not come around if xylitol is in the vicinity. Try it. The third thing is to use white rum and spray them with or clean surfaces with it . This can be dangerious because rum is flammable It has to be white not brown or any other color rum. The Jamaiican overproof white rum is best. for you make up table purchase a lazy suzan and put them in make in one and hair and lotion in the other. You can just spin it around to find what you want. Target has 3 sizes Some with partition. They are clear acrylic ones. Love watching you.

I would like to know if it's the norm everywhere in West Africa to have kitchens with doors? I was thinking it may be due in parts to avoid the smell of the spices and food to linger in other rooms. That's a guess of mine but I would like to know more as I'm only asking because back home, Haiti, it's not common at all to have a closed kitchen. Thank you for inviting us to your home. Yeah its very common for kitchens to b separate to the rest of the house. I prefer it that way too for same reasons u stated. Some of our foods have a strong aroma so

Jasmine, you should get a bigger pot. Use some stones to elevate the small pot inside and it will really look nicer.. if you just get a stand it will be too tall and will not look balanced in the space. Hope this is helpful. Love your channel. Keep up the good work.
