There are quite a few ideologies of the Republican Party, I support, however, I feel being an African-American woman, most supporters of the Republican Party believe in principles that are not to the best interest of people like me. I'm a senior citizen who rely heavily on my social security that I contributed to for 50 years and see that they want to mess with it. I faced making a decision about abortion 50 years ago and hate to think that modern women have lost that right. I thought the Affordable Care Act was one of the best things for this country, and see how the Republicans are doing everything within their power to dismantle it. Keep us the good work!

I am not "young" or male and know of the contribution of Jews to the civil rights movement. I am well versed in our shared history. I grew up with Jews.That does not mean I have not always seen and felt the disparities and inequality in the treatment of Palestinians by the Israeli government. Both can be true. I have always felt, that American Jew's blind allegiance and support of the Israeli government is a problem. I know I won't convince you, not even trying. But this genocide has called for people like me to finally speak out. I also have MANY Jewish friends that agree with me. This rejection of the Israeli government and those who support it is an opportunity for some Jews to do some self reflection. Other than this subject I agree and support your position on both of your points of view.
Yes! We all have our blindspots. The way the Israeli government treats Palestinians is one for many progressive Jews. That said no one should be targeted or reviled for their religion or their community. I too want the state of Israel to continue to exist and want the Israeli government to be held accountable for its treatment of Palestinians.

Regarding how Trump ever got nominated in 2016: Mitt Romney was running in a large field in 2012. Proportional delegate awarding allowed the no-hope candidates to stay in longer and made Romney's campaign more expensive. After the election, one of the "reforms" implemented was winner-take-all primaries in hopes that a clear leader would emerge quickly. Romney's "reform" made Donald Trump unstoppable because he racked up a bunch of plurality wins in a large field. John Kasich fought Trump to the bitter end. I think he was the only one in the field who wasn't a religious zealot or ethically compromised. In 2020 he endorsed Joe Biden.
I'm glad she said something about not yelling at people, and next time also include avoiding swearing and vulgarities. Calm, strong and mature adult communication is more what government and leadership should set an example for. Love you both!

I live in Florida and we have women's health rights on the ballot for November. As a mom and grandmother to two girls I am for women's rights. I was born in 1957 and grew up in the 1960s and 1970s when women and blacks did not have the same rights as white men. The magas want to take our rights from us. People fought so hard for these rights and by God no one should be taking our freedoms from us. If you need any volunteers in Florida Tara please let me know. I live in a Senior Building in Central Florida and know there are quite a few republican women who live here. I am a democrat and have been since I first voted at age 18 in 1975. Governor DeSantis already pissed women off with making a law that alimony can be reduced once a man reaches retirement age. This affects plenty of wealthy women who are seniors who will have their support taken away from them. Plus changing abortion laws to 6 weeks when a woman does not even know she is pregnant at 6 weeks. Getting President Biden reelected is important to all of us. Vote Blue like your life depends on it because it does.

Regarding how Trump ever got nominated in 2016: Mitt Romney was running in a large field in 2012. Proportional delegate awarding allowed the no-hope candidates to stay in longer and made Romney's campaign more expensive. After the election, one of the "reforms" implemented was winner-take-all primaries in hopes that a clear leader would emerge quickly. Romney's "reform" made Donald Trump unstoppable because he racked up a bunch of plurality wins in a large field.
John Kasich fought Trump to the bitter end. I think he was the only one in the field who wasn't a religious zealot or ethically compromised. In 2020 he endorsed Joe Biden.
I'm glad she said something about not yelling at people, and next time also include avoiding swearing and vulgarities. Calm, strong and mature adult communication is more what government and leadership should set an example for. Love you both!

I live in Florida and we have women's health rights on the ballot for November. As a mom and grandmother to two girls I am for women's rights. I was born in 1957 and grew up in the 1960s and 1970s when women and blacks did not have the same rights as white men. The magas want to take our rights from us. People fought so hard for these rights and by God no one should be taking our freedoms from us. If you need any volunteers in Florida Tara please let me know. I live in a Senior Building in Central Florida and know there are quite a few republican women who live here. I am a democrat and have been since I first voted at age 18 in 1975. Governor DeSantis already pissed women off with making a law that alimony can be reduced once a man reaches retirement age. This affects plenty of wealthy women who are seniors who will have their support taken away from them. Plus changing abortion laws to 6 weeks when a woman does not even know she is pregnant at 6 weeks. Getting President Biden reelected is important to all of us. Vote Blue like your life depends on it because it does.
