The odometer sticker reminds me of the days before I had a garage and needed a permit to park on the street. I received dozens of tickets totalling thousands of dollars for failure to display a valid permit. When I went to court, the by-law officer testified at some length that he did indeed see the permit, and confirmed that it was valid, but that it was not displayed in the lower portion of the windshield on the driver's side, as clearly stipulated in the by-law and on the permit itself. When the judge asked why I did not display the permit as required, I explained that the motorcycle in question had neither a driver's side nor a windshield. After a deep sigh, he proceeded to lecture the officer on how he needed to use some common sense and consider that the letter of the law is not always aligned with the spirit of the law.

I think the quality of these videos is improving over time, for sure. But what really shines through, even more than the witty writing and natural delivery, is that you all are obviously enjoying what you're doing. And I enjoy consuming them.
The “quality” of the video is going up but the quality of the “story” has gone down drastically since covid, for most videos. Also they’ve all but abandoned the yearly gear videos I always relied on to make smart purchases

@@seskal8595 from Ryan? Bs!!! He always told us what gear was better and cheaper from the same brands new model, what gear had amazing quality for an amazing price because it had been made for so many years etc. I could not have possibly gotten the gear I needed without his insights.
And he made those videos at least once a year usually “top weather jackets for 2021” and top high-end leather jackets for 2021 etc. etc. including best helmets of the year and all of that all of those videos had invaluable information that I continue to use and reference when buying gear that’s not even available on those videos anymore

6:28 My girlfriend and I are parking our bikes (hers a collector plated 91 Yamaha Radian 600, mine a FJ-09) on a BC Ferry and beside us is a tough looking biker dude on a big black Harley with black leather tassels on the grips. She looks at the tassels and says loudly "I love those! I had the same thing on my Strawberry Shortcake bike when I was 7!" I could barely keep a straight face.😁
Spent some time this afternoon swapping out my bar ends and replacing the mirrors, all the while expecting RF9 to bust into my garage to call me a “moto-modding pervert.” He was a no-show.

@@rose6965 I don't think leather melts. It just burns under heat. Like you skin won't melt it burns. Part of the joke is that these "whips" are low quality plastic things

@@darkenblade986 I don't know what temp it melts at, but skin does melt! I've had an encounter withf very hot cooking oil that made the skin on the top end of my finger melt and droop down underneath the finger - it was not pleasant...

Regarding slungshots, I used to occasionally ride with Legion of Sin members.
They're a CoC recognized two patch club in the San Francisco Bay Area that blends the Biker and BDSM lifestyles, so some of them rode with single tails (basically bullwhips) on their bikes, usually looped above the triple.
Slung shots are a felony in California, and one rider that I know from LoS was arrested for it. The cop didn't believe that it was only going to be used on consenting adults.
BTW, when used for genuine mayhem the heavy grip part is swung, much like a flail. It can break windows, mirrors, and bones when used that way.
ah yes, the brake locker 9000. really takes the boredom out of riding and back to living on the edge!

I had those small mirrors for about a year and when I went back to my stock ones I instantly felt more confident riding because I could actually see what’s behind me now😂😂😂
I'm not a fan of bar ends either, but I had to get extenders for my stock mirrors to see past my elbows.
Would have the same mindset. Regardless of legality, I'd want mirrors that actually work. If people want to go with inadequate mirrors, or no mirrors at all, I don't see an issue with that, but I want good mirrors on my own bike, don't care how ugly.
Yeah, i've never liked the bar ends, wayyyy too low and small to be useful!
I use my stock mirrors + 1 Rizoma bar end mirror so I can see directly behind me.
On my last bike I went with bar-ends so that I COULD see. The regular mirrors just weren’t getting the job done. Current bike has good stock mirrors.
This is kinda fantastic. I’m getting the same vibe from this channel as I did watching motor-shows with my dad, growing up. It’s factual, to the point, informative, entertaining and really doesn’t try to sell my something. It feels like it’s just here because of the love of motorcycles and riding, and getting others equally hooked. Thanks!

Texas seems to be pretty chill on this stuff. I can run a sideways plate, no turn signals if I like, heck you can still plate a two stroke. And they seem to look the other way on a lot of mods as long as it works right. Like I've got 16,000 lumens of "off road only" lights as my headlights. But I have them tamed down in low beam mode to where I never get a flash from other drivers. Cops just seeing this set up would know it's illegal but they never bother me. Still can't lane split here though...

led turn signals. Put them on the grip ends in addition to shock towers. having multiples in different locations is easier to see than a single point and cleans up the airflow by not having a turn signal hanging out there.
