This song effectively conveys and amplifies the fact that Qingce Village have people (especially the elderly) who have their loved ones and major parts of their lives left in the far Liyue harbor. Makes me quite emotional everytime I hear this piece.
Wow. It’s crazy to imagine that the newer generation of kids who play video games will grow up with this game and its music. In 5-10 years, they’ll come back to this and feel the same nostalgia most of us right now get from listening to things like Minecraft, Legend of Zelda, and songs from all the other games we grew up with. Growing up sucks but it’s better having these nuggets of musical memory to help us feel carefree again. Beautiful song.

The old man's ghost and his 3 dead sons is truly one of the saddest. After the dad got sick at an old age all three sons started to look and fight for the treasure the old man had once hidden, the three all though that said treasure was hidden in the mine caves where the old man once worked. All three of them, in one way or another, died leaving they're souls trapped in the mines tormented by the mistakes they made and unable to Ascend to the afterlife. The father wanted to leave the world of the living but not alone and so he asks the traveler to reunite the family one last time to them be able to part together. Once all united, the father reveals the true position of the treasure which is under the lone tree, the tree that they all took care of and the tree where the old man, once a year, would put a small amount of money so that one day they can all celebrate and treat themselves with some fine alcohol. At last, since the treasure was useless for them, the old man decides to hand it to the traveler as token of gratitude for reuniting the family one last time. Tl:dr 3 dummies who fought for a treasure that was supposed to be a piggybank for them to then afford some grape juice.
No matter how many updates or new regions will be added, Qingce village will always be my comfort place in genshin. The theme song and scenery reminds me of my irl home in the past (rural area with lots of fields)

Day 1: can play the first page with both hands, but not very smoothly ;-; second page giving me a little bit of trouble Day 2: I’m able to play the first page smoothly now, and most of the second page expect for measures 23-28 Day 3: still struggling with page 2 ;-; Day 4: same with day 3 Day 5: still same ;-; Day 6: I think I’m closer? UPDATE: it took about a month but I’m able to play this well now!!

The OST also called fading stories which is accurate. Only old people live in qingce and they have a lot of stories to tell but it will fade away...
