Fast scales and arpeggios look more impressive to non piano players/non musicians, but it's not really that hard. If anything, the chorus parts (like 3:37) is much harder. One hand is playing the main melody + embellishments, the other is playing the photon of fluctuation leitmotif, it's very difficult to manage the polyrhythm and still play with good phrasing on both parts. Musicality is so much harder to master than physical fast fingers pressing a lot of keys fast. ChaconneScott is really amazing though... on both technical skill and musicality.
@@luckyjc8702 Yes. I also want to add that each voice is also playing at an intensity independent of each other, not obfuscating the main foreground melody. For such a high energy piece, it's easy to let loose and slam on the keys. But they controlled the intensity very well. Truly masterful.
