I lived in Mid-Ohio for a few years, 2010-13. Pork tenderloin sandwiches are in nearly every restaurant. Jenny's look better than any I have ever had.
Best sandwich ever! No mayo! Mustard, onion, pickle and yum!
I remember eating pork loin sandwiches in Iowa. The best.
Awesome looking sandwich. I bet it almost melted in your mouth. Thanks & hugs to the Brown family & Jenny & Dickie.
That's some delicious looking food. Thanks to Jenny for showing us and thanks to you for taking us there.
One of my favorite sandwiches. Looks absolutely delicious. These are popular in Iowa.
Thank you, Dickie and Jenny for a wonderful meal and fellowship with friends ready to get together again soon enjoyed our time together thank you for your hospitality and friendship God bless
We absolutely loved it. Can't wait for the next visit.
I grew up in Indiana and these sandwiches were called breaded tenderloins. I live in the south now and you can’t get them. Loved watching these being made, brought back a lot of great memories! Thanks!
Making these for lunch right now...my son-in-law is working here in my town and I promised him something good and filling if he'll swing by midday. Hope Jenny and her husband are doing well and rebuilding their lives after that devastating tornado shortly after this was taped. They've been in my thoughts and prayers many times since then! 🙏 💗XO💗
I'm praying for yall during this storm. Be safe!! Please pray for the people on the coast.
Indiana here also and BOY do we love our pork tenderloin sandwiches. With only horseradish.
The only word I have for this sandwich is WOW!!!!!!
Indiana here. Tenderloins quality can make a restaurant “known” around here. An usual guild line is it must exceed size of bun. Thank you.
Mrs Domino even a hand cut, hangs over the bun. Also a Hoosier here.

Go Hoosiers! The more the tenderloin hangs over the bun, the better the tenderloin!!- LeeAnn @ "Outdoors and Country Living"
I'm a Hoosier, too!! These are definitely a staple around these parts!! They are delish and soooo easy to make!!
Also a Hoosier. Eating one is almost like 2 meals. The one inside the bun and the one outside the bun.
OMG.....Loved those long skinny beans. My granny used to grow them. YUM !!!
I'm going to try next year!
Huge pork tenderloin sandwiches prepared this way are a Midwestern speciality and very popular. Iowa native here.
California gal, I've never seen the likes of it !!! 😳 Lol. Definitely adding this to my "Food Wishes" list. 💕
Corning, NY here....I've been making this up here for over 40 years and folks love it! We don't serve it as a sandwich just as our meat serving. It actually is a spinoff of the German Schnitzle. Enjoy!!!!
I'm from North East Missouri and we eat "tenderloins" all the time! They're delicious. We eat ours with ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions. French fried or breaded onion rings is a perfect accompaniment.
I was born and raised in Illinois. My mom worked at A&W Root Beer there and they made these pork tenderloin sandwiches! They were delicious and I haven’t seen them since moving here to Alabama!
This is definitely a Hoosier staple!!! I grew up in Indy, but am back home in Tennessee now. My kids are still there, so I get my tenderloins when I visit 💕
Pork Tenderloin Sandwich!!!! yumm!!! I’ve lived all over the United States, the only place I have seen this done like this is in North Eastern Iowa, so delicious. Most places who attempt this do not get the pork thin enough. Best eith toasted bun, dill pickles and lettuce, omg I’m going to have to make some now, lol
Iowa is one of the best places to get a good pork tenderloin.
Glenda Heggen, Iowa in my experience is only place you can regularly find them on the menu and done right!!
i remember having a sandwich like this when i was 16, my mom worked at a gas station and she would make these, lightly flour them and cook them on a flat iron grill, toast the hamburger buns, dress the fried pork tenderloin with A1 sauce and put lettuce on it along with some mustard, it was soo good.
I had one of these at Sturgis SD, it was the best thing i ever eaten! Let me tell you, i traveled the world eaten in fancy places....but the best thing i have ever EATEN!
Your mouth had to be salivating Mrs. Lori! Thanks for sharing your visit w/ your friend!!!
It was!
I'm from Indiana and these are all over. Love them and when we go to Virgina to my husbands daughters I make them, the same way.
I have to tell you I made your pear mincemeat but have apples and a half pear and it is absolutely amazing and then today I made the pear mincemeat cake and my granddaughter says it's the best thing she's ever had in her life thank you for sharing God bless you
Now that looks great! Pork tenderloins are definitely on the menu here in Kansas City! Pork tenderloin is my favorite sandwich..mix catsup, mayo and fresh horseradish together for the sauce and then add the 'garden'-lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion!
We girls up north love fried anything too...lol. Praying for all the people in the hurricane path...be safe and god bless xox
We love these big tenderloin sandwiches they are big sellers here in The Hoosier state we like onion pickle and mayonnaise on ours so good with a side of breaded mushrooms thanks for sharing have a blessed day🦋🦋🦋
We folks from North Central Indiana LOVE us a good pork tenderloin sandwich! We raise our own pigs on our homestead, so pork loins are plentiful. Great demonstration on making those mouth watering tenderloins. Looks like they were delicious. We don’t normally eat horseradish on ours, but that’s an awesome idea. Will try that on our next tenderloin 👍🏻
I was raised in NW Indiana and the "Pork Tenderloin Sandwich" is basically our state sandwich. I love this video and I'm SO SORRY this beautiful family lost their home in the storms. We will be praying for them. I will DEFINITELY be trying this recipe.
Those look amazing, thanks for sharing Jenny. What a lovely homestead you have. Miss Lori so glad you took us along.
I shouldn't have watched this before making breakfast. Now I want one! Thank you to Jenny for sharing the recipe. Have a Blessed day!
I just assumed these fantastic sandwiches were everywhere! Missourian all my life. I tell you what, they should be everywhere!
Here in Iowa the pork tenderloin is a staple.
Oh yum. That looks amazing. I love horseradish. And pork. And everything! God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
How timely! We just brought horseradish from my brother's garden ( That came from our family farm growing up) in Vermont and planted on our property in Tennessee.
I love your videos and the fact that you show so many heirloom recipes. ❤
Just won my heart. Pork, w/horseradish, it doesn't get any better.
A Tasty Sandwich for sure. And your friend's house has a comfy look. Have the recipe. Thanks for sharing.
Hi!!! Oh that's a great looking sami!!! I'm sure it tasted as good as it looked. I would really like to try this. Great video. Yummy. Jenny has a really nice garden and her kitchen is lovely...Take care. Stay safe & GOD bless. P. S. Loved the pug . We had 3 over the years...
Good to see you Jenny a precious soul.....
I was a little girl the first time I had a pork tenderloin sandwich. I have never forgotten it. Still to this day I have looked for one. Yours looks like it is very similar. Thank you so much.
Looks delicious.
I worked as a waitress at a restaurant called South fork Cafe in Arkansas for 7 year's and we sold Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches like that and it was DEFINITELY a *WOW* factor!! And they sold great. We were on a major highway so we had alot of travelers and it sold well to them.
*The owner from from the North, so....
Twenty something years ago, when we became Hoosiers, friends told us that we wouldn't be true Hoosiers until we became introduced to the tenderloin sandwich. Wow! I've seen them three times as wide as a deluxe bun! Every time we find a new mom and pop restaurant, I have to try theirs. Each place has a distinction.
I'm a Hoosier
Illinois here...Land of Lincoln. I didn't realize the tenderloin sandwich was a northern thing, but it fits. It's one of my family's favorite sandwiches. I see lots of comments from Indiana. Although I'm not a Hoosier by birth, I did live and work there for 8 years (2002-2010). Loved it!
There is no way I could ever eat all of that sandwich. It looked absolutely delicious. Prayers for south Arkansas as well as all who are in the path of this hurricane please.
Wow that sandwich looks delicious and we are going to have that this week. I'm so excited knowing this is one I can do for sure. Thanks a lot. (W's. wife)
That was a treat to meet your friends thank you for sharing ! 🥰
Howdy from Texas 😩🙏 Pray for our coast and everyone who’s in the line of the storm please.
YUMMY AND this is absolutely delicious looking. ITS THE CRACKER CRUMBS... My momma did this to Cube steaks and man oh man DELICIOUS 😋
I grew up on pork tenderloin sandwiches, Indiana checking in here. I love them, going to thaw out some pork loins today, thanks for sharing.
Good ole Iowa tenderloin ! We love them !!!
Always wondered what cut of meat was used for these and how to make them! The only place I can find these is at the county fair and of course all fairs were cancelled this year! Now I can make my own!! Lettuce, tomato, mayo and dill pickle! All on a buttered toasted bun! YES, know what I'm fixing this week!
We have them everywhere here in Indiana
We used to have pork lion sandwiches grow up when we butchered pigs, but we made home made biscuits and had them on with honey. Yummy
For a second there, I thought you were in your cabin. Looks very similar. That was an awesome looking sammich! I bet it was good too!
When I first saw the size of each piece, I thought "Bread Loaf Sandwich" LOL Looks SO incredibly delicious! and Ms. Lori, yep, it's a southern thing... my mouth was already watering and I just wanted to grab the camera and take a pic of that frying in the pan - Beautiful!!
Ms. Jenny, thank'ya for sharing, especially the tip about the butcher
We have tenderloin like this in Indiana everywhere
Lettuce tomato and mayo Texas tenderloin
@@ritamckinney9169 Yep, I'm in Texas, so you can only imagine the size of ours LOL
First place I ever had one of these was in Iowa. The cook used buttermilk and egg wash, but used Ritz cracker crumbs in her breading. I don't make it often, but when I do I'm stuffed for the next day. Delicious!
I'm not Southern and I was still salivating when she flipped that piece of meat over to the other side..
Now I am hungry for one of those sandwiches lol. It looks delicious Ms. Lori. Love you and Mr. Brown. God Bless Y'all. Hugggggs.
Hey miss Lori♡♡♡ Thank you so very much for sharing this Awesome video with us ♡♡♡ I need to get some tenderloin and fix these for my Precious Family ♡♡♡ WOW!!! what An Awesome sandwich ♡♡♡ Jenny has A Beautiful Place♡♡♡ I sure did enjoy this video ♡♡♡ GOD BLESS EVERYONE ♡♡♡ We Love y'all so very much ♡♡♡ GOD IS SO GOOD♡♡♡
Thank you Gemma, xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller You are so very welcome ♡♡♡
WOO--WEE...P.T. 🐷 is one of my hubby's most fave sammies...right up there with the BLT🥓. We size them for a fryer basket that fits perfectly in his grandmother's deep cast iron dutch oven (like that lidded one seen behind Jenny's big skillet). Instead of mayo, sometimes, I have mine with honey mustard...or sweet & sour sauce...or thick blue cheese dressing. Well, I am scooting off to the garage freezer to get a 3lb loin I saw in there Sunday. Baked beans and slaw, for sides...oh, I'm hungry NOW🍔🍜🥣!!
The south knows how to cook!!!! Whoa, I want one. Lol.😀
Thank you for sharing... I know what we’re having this weekend 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
My absolute favorite sandwich since I was a child ! Gosh that looked so good !
That sandwich is hysterical. How fun!! I will have to make these.
Wow. My hubby would love those. Thank you ladies❤️
Those look so delicious! I love pork loin. You can do just about anything you want with it, and it's generally reasonably priced if you buy a whole one and cut it down.
Oh yummy, that looks scrumptious! Take care during the hurricane, I hear the winds could hit up into Arkansas. Will be praying for everyones safety.
Thank you Jill, xoxoxo
That sandwich is huge. It looks like it would feed 4 people on just 1 meat. Yum.
Now, .......... that, ........is, .....ah, .......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes, yes. I make these all the time. Everyone that I make them for just loves them. Not just southern people like these. I live in Minnesota and everyone makes them up here. Just like Jenny said......pickles, onion and we like mustard on them. Of course on a toasted bun. However horseradish sauce might be good to. Great job.
I’m from Indiana too and i heard the first pork tenderloin was made in Indiana. They are so good and one of my fav. The bigger the better.
my mouth is watering please pray for us living in new orleans and surrounding areas
Praying for your safety from storm
Wow, that sandwich looks YUMMY! Thank Jenny & you for sharing that recipe! I love fried pork anything!! Stay well... Love & Hugs, Mary ♡♡♡
WOW I'd like to wrap my hands around one of those YUMMMM 🌞
No it is not just because your southern, that looks fantastic!!! Then again, I love grits, okra, gumbo, pecan pie and mint juleps, born in WI.!
Growing up in Iowa tenderloins was a staple food item. Yum! On a nice soft hamburger bun with the usual condiments was always a treat.
I seem to always relax when I watch your videos, thanks so much, especially during these trying times. Hello.. to Mr. Brown.
Oh, yes, that is the way to have a breaded tenderloin sandwich! Many places sell them around here. The grocery sells them ready to fry. I like mine with lettuce, tomato, mayo and a pickle. Never had them with horseradish. I am the only one my family that would eat horseradish. My daughter is picking me up two today. They will go into my freezer.
Grandma Sue in central Indiana and Izzi Too
X x
Reminds me of Schnitzel! I'm from PA but our family doesn't make these. Now I have heard of gub caps tho!!😁 She had some pretty iron skillets too! Looked delicious!! Bless y'all!
One of my favorite sandwiches! There was a fast food (chain) restaurant up in Illinois years and years ago called Sandy's. They had the best pork sandwiches and served them with cheese and mustard. They were fab, but probably not as fab as this one! Looks super! Thanks for sharing.
Kentuckians (northern) love Roach Coach (Food Wagon) Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches...Brass Band Concert Vendors, County Fair Vendors, Mom & Pop Restaurants (before Covid🤨) served these with pickles, mayo, lettuce & tomato. Yum! Good Job Jenny & Lori! 👍
That frying was out of this world!!! I live in Texas and my taste buds are saying "ROADTRIP"! Tell Jenny she needs to keep her home place a secret, otherwise she should be expecting LOTS of dinner company! God bless all...
Thank you so much.
Missouri has pork tenderloin sandwiches, everywhere! They are a very popular sandwich, there.
Love that sandwich. Every time I get back to Indiana the first thing I do is go get a tenderloin. My mouth is drooling watching her fix it ! She did it perfect!
Me too!!!💕
Thank you. I was taught by my sister in-law and she is from Missouri and she makes the best.
jenny jarrett Well some Jenny, you did an awesome job! btw? how do you know Mrs Lori? 🙂
@@hopelovefaith1321 Danny and Lori and I went to school together. Danny was my neighbor down the road.
OMG!!! I LOVE THOSE Pork Tenderloin sandwiches !!! New subscriber here. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video with us!!!
Looking forward to more excellent videos!!! :)
That reminds me of the Famous Pork Chop Sandwich at Snappy Lunch in Mt. Airy, NC (Andy Griffith's home town). They serve it with coleslaw and chili which I thought was a little strange but it was a fun visit--like stepping back in time to the good ole days!
Our FFA has a pork tenderloin wagon at our local fair. They look just like that. I've never had one. Looks Yummy
I’ve not eaten one of these but I remember in my teens there was a drive in that served scrumptious chuckwagon sandwiches. My very favorite. Never knew what type of meat it was. Just that I loved them and they were big
Oh boy! Was my mouth watering listening to that deep fryer! I am going to HAVE to try this! Beautiful job Jenny! God Bless!
Could you tell I was nervous as a cat. Lori did a wonderful job of making me feel at ease. Can't wait to see you soon. God is Good
I couldn’t tell, but you did great. You have a lovely garden, and a beautiful kitchen!
jenny jarrett oh wow are you ladies having a meet up? 🙂
Vickie's Country Home hi Vickie...fancy meeting you here? 😋
Hope Love Faith I am flying out in October to visit Mrs. Lori again, and meet Jenny. That is if things don’t go sideways again!
Thank you Mrs. Lori and Jenny! That looks so delicious! Haven't had one in a very long time!!
There was a mom & pop place close to where I worked that made these. I don't know who started it,but it caught the name "Dog Ear Sandwich ". Because it's the size of a hound dog's ear. That with a regular order of fries and you just barely could close the lid on a styrofoam lunch plate container. Lord, I miss those .
Lol, here's a funny story about pork tenderloin sandwiches: I grew up in nys, then moved to Boston, then Denver, then here in kcmo. We noticed how cheap everything was here, and I kept seeing signs in restaurants for TENDERLOIN SANDWICHES, ONLY $4.99!!! Well, the only tenderloin that I'd ever known, was a beef one/filet mignon. I said to my husband "Yeesh!!! Even a filet mignon sandwich is cheap in Kansas City!!!". Eventually he ordered one somewhere, and they brought it out, and we looked at each other and I said " well what in the hell is THAT???". 😂😂😂👍👍👍 20 YEARS LATER, I now know, but it sure was a funny menory!!!😂😂😂
I live in MO & I make these. I buy a whole big pork loin when they’re on sale, bread them & put in freezer. I tenderize them & then marinate overnight in the buttermilk & egg & garlic mix, then I dip them in flour, then in egg mix, then in cracker crumbs. I freeze them on cookie sheets, wrap separately & freeze in bags til needed. Always good for a Quick meal with mashed potatoes & gravy & green beans
They are wonderful!
So good!
Aww that was awesome...pork is my favorite meat on top of that..thank Jenny and Lori. God Bless hugs
Oh my gosh what beautiful moringa trees she has, Wow! They have some great sandwiches up north. They have Pork Roll and egg sandwiches that are awesome too. Hey Sister all good cooks make a mess. How wonderful, I would eat one in a min. Thank you All for making me hungry...lol
That looked delicious !!! It was just a lil pork sandwich 😄😆😜
Stay Blessed ✌🏽&♥️
