@Y.H.A A the guy who plays Penelope's Dad actually played a mutant on a show called Mutant X in the early 2000's
I think the plot twist was worth it and with alder healing and anacostia was already suspicious so that should lead them to the true enemy
Even sadder knowing that her father, the vice president allowed this to happen by working with the Cams and sacrificed her. That's really messed up

Out of everything in this episode, Penelope being the source and having to be killed, is what hit me the hardest. Especially when she said "Tally? Why won't anyone talk to me?", showing that the parasite had taken over her mind enough to where she had no idea what was happening to herself or what was going on around her... which made her death even more tragic. I hope that in season 3, her father gets the most horrific death yet, in the series.

She didn't deserve to end like that. She barely had begun to live as herself and love herself as a witch.

This scene hurt so much. I honestly want to see her dad feel pain for what he's done. He agreed to put his daughter through this and I want either Penelope to be taken into the Mycelium so she can be the one to enact revenge on him or I want Tally to be the one to do it.
She did went to the Myscelium, that's were all witches who died unjustly go to rest

I literally JUST realized the guy playing the Camarilla guy who gave Penelope the witchplague and made her the source was Bob Frazer and now I feel like an idiot.
On another note, that one line, "Tally? How come nobody wants to talk to me?" just tore my heart out, threw it on the ground, and smashed it. Seriously. I wanted to CRY for Penelope. She had no clue what was happening, and she had to be killed off anyway.
Side note: given the camera crew was RIGHT THERE, how come they couldn't pick up any of the things the girls said? I mean...it's clear they had no choice, but I guess the editors for the TV station or whatever wanted to be like "forget the witches; they have to die/be held accountable/whatever." I get it moved the show's story forward, but you'd think that at least SOME of the things that were said about how they didn't want to and didn't have a choice would be picked up. Pretty sure I saw at least one boom mic. Just a slight issue I have; not that important.
I'm looking forward to more, and since this was worked on for OVER A DECADE, it's sad to see it end after only THREE SEASONS. I swear, it's like how Attack on Titan (the anime) is only getting four seasons, when there is so much more to cover from the manga. I just... #freemotherland #savemotherlandfortsalem
For the TV Station role issue, I think this is just shown live, and it is the Vice President who demands justice, therefore the President needs to act and support him, since they’re on the same Party.
It’s easy to find how this connects with how discussions were made in Real Life Media. They’re going to show something, and because they’re not giving the “full contexts and story”, it’s easy for us, individuals to react based on our beliefs. Hence, the divide in our society. I’m thinking this things based on the concept of the show (which is about nuances), real life politics, and how people are not actually misinformed but produces their own misinformation due to lack of understanding and critical thinking.
Camarilla had put the crew there and they were broadcasting everything live, so they must have chose to cut out the audio at that moment. And the news reports may have just been replaying the scene where she was killed.
So sad for Penelope, betrayed by her own father

The Mycelium can not cure the witch plague. It didn’t work on another cadet jumping off the balcony. That was foreshadowing.
@@mhawang8204 but it almost did, which means the Mycelium could get stronger and eventually overpower the witch plague, saving the person(s) affected. Maybe though, I'm not sure. You could be right though, maybe the plague's growing stronger faster than the Mycelium which is bad because when Raelle got infected for the second time, (first time she was quickly cured by the Mycelium because the plague was much weaker at the time) the Mycelium couldn't get all of it, and because of that, it regrew. So maybe you're right, but we just don't know what could happen.
I was wondering if the VP was involved but couldn't fathom him being able to sacrifice his own daughter. (I wonder if her mother is a witch in hiding). Such a great show!

Can someone explain what happened? What does the mushroom power do to the witch plague? How did the Bellwether work pull apart plaguey Penelope?how come her bodies part didn't rain down around them?
What is witch plague - magic or a living organism or an evil mushroom?
The Mycelium (Witch Bomb) can basically fight the effects of the Black Witch Plague, and once out of the body with no host to feed into they’ll die. I think a Witch plague is an unnatural/genetically modified thing, because one of Motherland’s main concept is how Witches are connected to Mother Nature.
It pulled her apart because the wind if u pay attention the tornadoes crossed over her that much wind speed and force ripped her in pieces
The witch plague IS a living, evil organism that has Cams found and have bred to be even stronger and more lethal. Stupid Cams! I want their organization to be revealed and reviled!

I haven't been able to watch season 2 yet but I've seen bits and pieces on here and I had a question regarding Penelope in that episode: the witch plague would have ended up killing her at some point, right ? Since she is a witch and it's a "disease" that kills witches ?
Thinking about how Tally likely felt Penelope’s ‘death’; she didn’t help ‘kill’ her, but she stood there and watched and felt everything. I bet she felt the hostage civilians, too, when she was standing there refusing to help destroy the truck.

With her dying on Fort Salem grounds, maybe the mycelium can save her somehow. Or at least let Raelle communicate with her & let her know her own father sacrificed her just to be President. So many angles S3 could take. Expose the VP & take out the camarilla zealots. Maybe Alder can do something too?

I'm not sure if Penelope is dead. She was the only witch strong enough to contain the plague. Most witches died quickly.
You find out in Season 3 that she was infected with a different strain, keeping her alive but allowing her to spread it and kill everyone else around her.

After seeing how that one Camarilla guy (and other members) wanted to sacrifice that little girl (Tiffany was her name, I think) because she MIGHT HAVE BEEN a witch and kill her off like the witches during the Salem Witch Trials, I was like: "forget humans; these guys don't deserve to be called that."
How did the storm kill her , was she struck with a lightning’s bolt
abigail conjured 2 tornados to lift her up and then violently merged both tornados resulting in... penelope pieces...
The storms forced the plague out of her. Without a host to feed on it could be destroyed. The power of not one but two tornadoes tore it and sadly Penelope apart.
And #freeform are stupid enough to say season 3 will be the final one..
