- A 27-year-old York man has been sentenced to 17 months' imprisonment for dangerous driving.
Mikey Lee Neasham of Wenham Road appeared at York Crown Court on Friday 30 June 2023, where he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and criminal damage to a police car.
On 30 January 2023, officers spotted Neasham driving on the A1237 ring road around York. When indicated to stop, Neasham ignored the officer’s instruction and sped off through the streets of Rawcliffe, turning into a residential cul-de-sac.
Realising he was cornered, Neasham then smashed his way out, repeatedly ramming a police car and causing extensive damage.

I love that he excitedly announces he's making 'tactical contact' then when the guy drives off 'VEHICLE HAS RAMMED ME 😢'
Looked like the police doing the ramming tbh
@@here-is-my-profile exactly
Police rammed him 💯
I've pulled over before stopped and the police chasing me smashed into me and told the judge they had to stop me !!! 😮
No bumping in the cars, it's dogems mate and also one way only, He went the wrong way around
@@XhoowieXExactly, they can use force to apprehend suspects, which is lawful. The suspects can't, so it's ramming. This isn't an even legal playing field, cops are allowed, he's not. So when he says "making contact" that's a use of legal force, when he says "suspect has rammed me" that's exactly what it is.
Would have been a lot better if he continued forward and pinned his car against the suspect's to prevent it moving, but that's hindsight for you.
"Vehicle has rammed me!" After the Officer rammed him 3 times
did you not hear when they ram you its called "tactical contact" hahahha
What do u expect no damage to your car after you ram him? xD
😂😂😂 they would on give a section 59 to the driver i think there off it 😂😂
I love how composed they are and how accurately they provide informations abot the chase (talking about british police in general).
Peeking out the windows 0.21 😂
People sound so clueless he says tactical contact vehicles been rammed is him going for contact and hitting it suspect stalls then restarts his car then proceeds to ram the cruiser to escape ie he was rammed
are the police endangering the public by continuing pursuit over 100 to a vehicle they have damaged. i know this was at night but lets say the vehicle lost control due to its damage and killed someone on the road would the police be responsible and furthermore held accoutnable
They really do create dangerous situations and accidents then say itz your fault we caused the high speed accident you had no insurance.....yet police have no insurance! They sponge off the public instead
hear how he's saying the risk level? if there's too much traffic or they go in a residential area the risk goes to high and they stop chasing
What if he lost control without any damage? What if the cops didn't try to stop him and he killed someone on the road? Or two people? What if, what if, what if. The police have to deal with the actual risks at the material time. As long as they're gauging that risk, that's the ONLY practical opportunity to apprehend someone who is committing serious crime.
Not doing anything about it will only make it a valid tactic for the majority of other criminals, then you have MORE criminals driving dangerously because they know the police won't do anything about it, through fear of criticism in the UA-cam comment sections.
Also, for reference, "high risk" does not mean "too dangerous", it just means at that particular moment the risk level is high, but that can change to medium or even low again based on the dynamics. Unless someone is doing the speed limit and stopping for traffic signs which would be "low risk", pursuits are typically always "high risk" when going through red traffic lights but then "medium risk" again once through.
Where’s the chase and arrest?
The Accent is Cringe
Vehicle rammed me, no I think you rammed him
One question how is the cop getting rammed exactly?, there the one who's ramming the other vehicle!😅
Vehicle has rammed ME lol.
The incompetence of the police at the beginning is awful! When you're blocking a car, make sure it cannot drive away!
Typical media reporting . The police car rammed the car not as your title suggests
What kind of brain dead comment is this? The police are legally allowed to use force, where as the criminal is not, so the cops are using force to stop them and the criminal is ramming them which is unlawful.
You wouldn't say "I'm putting handcuffs on the suspect - wait, the suspect has assaulted me, but that's OK because I used force first so it doesn't count!"
Theif was like "Are you fuqn serious?"
I hope no one got hurt.
First copper had an M340i 😮
I must say it seems like you rammed him sir not the other way around
Think it was other round to be honest
He said they rammed him no that was his getting to hyper behind the wheel and blaming on the person he was chasing
Imagine the police say your driving a dangerous vehicle as your tyres a bit low on tread..... then these idiots get ramed admit there vehicle is damaged so give chase up to 130, causing the guy on run to go to excessive speeds in a damaged car also... police really are thick
“…police really are thick…” irony alert 🙄
@@bield7 I guess they aren't the only thick ones then 😅☻️
Nobody "caused" or forced him to do anything. He made the decision to drive off with his own free mind
@jakeeeec with his oun free mind hey??? Really "armed" gang chasing him with threat of violence! And you think he thought yeah this is a safe place to be? I don't thinks so the invoked fight or flight mode through extreme actions breaking their own policies. Cause and reaction. Cause is responsible for the reaction. Police are in the wrong fact
@@offgrid5817 you clearly don’t know the meaning of irony. Again.
Suspect looks like an immigrant? Asking for reseaaach for University.
The officer rammed him
Police rammed him…
Bummer cars
*Honest Thoughts:*
At first I saw it with the serious perspective it should be viewed in... but then I looked at the subtitles. It reminds me of GTA V...
I then tried not to make any further jokes but my friend came in from OHIO to tell me: "Dude, lowkey looks like a crash test dummy"
This upload is far to long. 🇬🇧
The policeman made all the damage
No future haha
Typical older Vauxhall Astra driver always worth a pull to check their details
What a lie
Police at they finest
Sexyyy! - love UK police 💪💜
The police rammed him, totally unnecessary violence. That Policeman should be in court.
Why?
The police smashing the car up saying vehicle has been rammed. I hope they took the cost of the damage out his wages and not the tax payer.
This cop just made a false statement he didn't ram him the poilce rammed him
What kind of brain dead comment is this? The police are legally allowed to use force, where as the criminal is not, so the cops are using force to stop them and the criminal is ramming them which is unlawful.

You mean police ram a car before endangering the public buy continuing a high speed pursuit
(💛) This is why the *Netherlands* will always reign more superior than little countries. Not only is my homeland known for the best of the best. It's time you learn to drive everyone. My father is very amused due to many people from other countries making the same mistakes. It's time to pick up a book and delve into how to be better for your country. Well, you could do that... but it would be much more improved of you to be more like Netherlands.
The criminal deliberately drove into the police car.
The Netherlands is a small country. You're Dutch but you have a British name?
What a load of self-entitled rubbish
Just FYI your comment doesn’t really make any sense because of how bad the English is. What is it you are actually trying to say? This wasn’t a mistake, this was a police chase…
Nobody cares 😂
You can't be Dutch, your English is shocking.
police rammed him not the other way around
So what?
