Windows updates are user errors if you don't know how to configure Windows automatic updates off, it's very easy! I myself work on both platforms, Mac and Windows, and the biggest problem with Macs is that usually nothing works anymore after updates, or at least problems can be expected. Both are good if you know how to use them correctly!

It works better with the apollo as you can use the preamps etc.. for recording. Luna is imo good as a recording station. That is what I use it for as I have two devices so it is a chain for recording with UA's uad /luna stuff in place of hardware preamps etc.. I use luna as my main audio recording point for anything going in via lines. It is more for tracks and recording. I still prefer fl studio for brainstorming, and cubase for tracking, with wavelab for post processing I would probably use protools for tracking. You can use controllers like qcon g2 or others as controllers within luna. IMO for me luna lets me run my antelope audio zen q for fl studio, while using luna and the apollo for recording. This lets me run the zen q asio while still being able to record into a different program, as well as use the apollo inserts/preamps etc.. then you can just print and drop into fl studio. I use to use audacity for this but imo the realler time recording offers a slight advantage.

Hi, thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate it. That sounds like a fantastic set up that you’ve got and you’re really using the hardware and software to its strengths. As you can probably tell I would love to own a vintage console for tracking, and as you mentioned the unison pre-amps in Luna do a fantastic job. Thanks again and have a great week! All the best, Matt

I stop using pro tools and switched to Luna ... if Luna keep changing and getting better , they will definitely give pro tools a run for their money

In my view, what WAY way too many people, even really smart people don't understand is, that in the end the AI tools we use nowadays is essentially just cleverly implemented math. It can not and will never come up with something new. So against much of the marketing around it, they are not creative tools. They can be structuring and organizing tools though. At least that is what I hope for. Because from my experience, LLMs for example can not even help with that at the current state. If I have to think about or even try prompts for half an hour, I can do it myself and can do it better. And in apps that are like one click solutions to things, AI is nothing more that a different way to come up with or implement algorithms.

Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! Yes, I totally agree and also an AI performance live wouldn’t quite be the same would it! 😉👍 thanks again, Matt

There's newer AI that literally looks at what it knows and comes up with different novel things. Thinks 'out of the box' so to speak
It doesn't just replicate what it has seen.
If what I've read is true then I think we might get to a point where there are more new music styles coming out that we haven't heard before faster than ever before

@@RussellAlderton Can you name projects/models ? I'd be interrested to look into it.
Apart from that - AI still needs training data and is heavily influenced by it.
Another thing is, that also came up in this video and others: Why do we even want some AI to start getting better at the things that ultimately give us the most joy to do ourselves ? A human brain is the ultimate "outside the box" so why try and replicate that ? I would be so much more down for having an AI assistant in a daw that can for example open pluginchains on voice command or plug connections to hardware, restructure my database of samples and rename them according to my conventions. All these mundane and annoying tasks that keep me from creating, I would love an AI to help me with. But they can't do that. The big question has to be, why? Why is the AI industry is focusing so heavily on creative aspects and 'generation' of things when we already have the best tool for that >brains

I find it annoying when this gets split up into multiple parts, would be a much better experience imho if you uploaded it as one thing

Hi, thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I will be putting up the full interview as one Long for video soon. Unfortunately, the majority of viewers on UA-cam only tend to watch for an average of 5 - 10 minutes. So to try and get the interview out to as many people as possible myself and Wytse thought it was best to create the 4 smaller videos, which each have their own title and theme. I have also now created a playlist with all the videos in so you can watch them as one back to back. 👍 thanks again so much for watching. Have a lovely week, all the best. Matt.

Im pretty sure data shows at least in our industry and in watching Rick beato and so many others is that short format is not the way or the viewing method of those in audio or music

My personal opinion is that it is not really AI, yet, but Artificial Plagiarism, so AP. Real AI could learn from it's mistakes and dislikes and improve the outcome, AP can't do that. AP should do my chores and leave me to be creative.
