What a beauty. I love green on white with green guts. Not near as many of these good old muscle cars got crushed as people thought. Thank you for finding them and giving us hope of finding one too.

Another great video. Sad thing so many of these classic cars that are not for sale will continue to rot away where they sit. There’s a 69 Chevelle SS sitting forever where I live outside that they don’t want to sell rotting away.

I believe so. I had 2 of them over the yrs. In 1970 1409 Tempest models were made. I have currently a early 1971 model, the other I had was a later 1971 model in which there was 5802 made. GM A bodies are great cars!

I had a 70 SS396 Doraville Georgia assembly plant. White with black stripes and black vinyl top. No cowl hood, no gauge cluster, open diff, ac, bench seat column auto. Weird thing was the upholstery. It looked original because of rips and showing foam on the driver's side front bench. But it had vinyl Monte Carlo upholstery front and back seats. Build mistake, or supply shortage?

He called it Melba toast. 4.11 posi trac, 750 double pumper, bored .030 over, 11:1 pop up pistons, turbo jet 390 hp, we’re talking some muscle! Because the base 396s were relatively mild low and mid-range rpm torque engines and you didn’t need more gear to get good street performance. You could also order lower gear ratio options if you wanted.

    • @rickyhawkins3385

I wouldn't get rid of her either, these older cars were built to last for decades and you will never or ever find any of them that is in good or descent condition. I have a 72 Chevy Nova that needs quite a bit of TLC, I bought it 2 years ago for 1,200 in San Antonio. I don't have the money to restore it the way I want to do but I wouldn't get rid of it unless the price was right for a car like that. Muscle cars will always be the best.

Bench seat, column shift, automatic, no tach, green interior…?? Can it get any more undesirable than this.?? And did that “barn” have no roof on it for the past 30 years. The interior looks like the windows were left open for about six years . Sitting for 30 years means that it was only on the road for just over 20 years and it’s this hideous looking.??. So much for the dry climate of southern Texas and no road salt. What am I missing here because it’s taking more than just 1970 396 Chevelle.
