Painting a Mountain Mural

The perfect quarantine project. I always knew I wanted a mountain mural in my new house so when we bought a house, it was one of the first things I wanted to do.
Some tips for painting this mural that I wish I did in hindsight:
1. MAKE SURE YOU TAPE WELL. Apparently the green painters tape called Frog Tape is a better type of paint?
2. Save yourself some money and buy only two quarts of paint. One part being your darkest color and one being your lightest. Mix them to make your middle two colors to get the ombre effect. This will save you money than buying one quart per color.
3. Nothing has to be perfect. Mountains are all different shapes and sizes.
4. Always go lightest to darkest!
When we painted some of the walls, we used paint from Home Depot and it made my house smell so bad with all the fumes and I got headaches from painting. Since this was in our dog room, we wanted to make sure that the paint was safe for dogs and I wouldn't have to worry about the fumes. We stumbled across a recommendation for Ecos Paint and I'm never going back. Ecos paint is non-toxic, eco-friendly, free of harsh chemicals and little to no ordors! I was able to paint this wall in half a day and not even have to open the window. No headaches and the dogs didn't mind coming in the room right after. The BEST part is that they color match if you already have a swatch or sample you like. We picked out our colors at the hardware store and then went and got the perfect match from Ecos Paint!
We used the Eggshell Pet Dwelling Paint.
