Mayones are really great guitars if your looking for something like the Duvall try the Schecter km-7 artist or legacy very high quality for $1800-$2800 which is a bit less then the mayones
Rick is so personable and such a fluffy personality I love it. I wish we got a couple more details on the album tone than just '5150' but considering this is a straight gear chat it might've taken things off topic a bit. Polaris is by far my favourite core band; Daniels songwriting combined with the rest of the members talent creates music in a way that melds emotion in a way to transcend me from any negative place I might find myself at the time. Truly grateful to be alive in the era of this band.
Does anyone else have a Ragnarok bridge / Juggernaut neck combination, like Rick mentioned in the beginning of the video? I just got a new Jackson DK Modern Pro Plus EVTN7, and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to put in there. Jug/Jug like Keyan typically uses, Rag/Rag or Rag/Jug. The Ragnarok BKP video where Misha, Tim and Nolly are narrowing down exactly what Misha wants almost completely sold me on Rag/Rag, but is the Juggernaut maybe a better neck pup choice in general?
Idk that my comment will help much but I have rag/rag in a Chapman of mine and absolutely love them. I prefer a neck pickup that is “round and full” tonally. I just picked up a Jackson MDK evertune 6 string and am wanting to try the Polymaths but am slightly concerned with the output of the bridge pickup.
@@prestondunn5 Hey there, thanks for the info. I ended up going for the Rag bridge / Jug neck combo. Best pickups I've ever heard, especially the Juggernaut. Easily the best middle pickup position I've ever used on a guitar. The mix of both pickups produces an extremely clear, full sound that cuts right to the pleasure center of my brain. It's like a piano string getting hit with the little hammer when a key is pressed - only on guitar. Split position for both actually sound and feel like single coils. Every position is useful and sounds good.
Which Polaris guitar is your favourite?
Massive thank you to Rick and the entire Polaris crew for finally making this Guitar Chat possible 🫶
def the purple one!

If Ryan were still with us, he would've made a great interview with you. I'm thankful for you for interviewing Rick lately.
