Safety in Farrowing

Sows are female pigs that can birth six to twenty-four piglets in a littler; they give birth - called “farrowing” - approximately twice a year. Sows are housed in a farrowing crate during this time to ensure the highest quality cleanliness and nutrition, and to protect her and her piglets.

I wish the sow gets to have moments with her children. Why can’t they be set free as a family outdoors until the piglets become 8 to 12 weeks old. Many animals in the wild get to do that.
