Calamity has somewhat generic materials, but Kali Yuga is completely unusable (especially during the opponent's turn) even if you build a junk deck for Wonder Xyz or with the new Armored Xyz stuff. Launch break Xyz card design by cheating it out to the point Konami gave the deck a BETTER rankup magic that is used for RR/PK combos (Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Force), with Launch only being used for degenerate stuff. And now Konami gave RR an even better Rankup so Launch was/is/will be the problem here.
they're being nice by keeping them around. without those cards raidraptors an many other rogue decks would flop. they're budget friendly an give rogue decks a shot. this is all the support were getting for a long time. a really long time.

An alternative route I was testing was a little Kashtira package to turbo Arsenal Falcon. You can’t really get mileage out of Bloom Vulture if you do, but it opens up space for non-engine and running F0 in the ED
Hi Lithium, in regards to your comment about the deck lacking 1 card starters, the Rokket package compensates for that as quick launch can be a 1 card rank 4. Locks you into darks due to recharger’s effect but shouldn’t be too big a problem since the deck is all dark.
It’s just comparative advantage at this point. Yes it’s boring and lame but if we’re making a list that highlights the decks strengths you would run yuga
I mean, it's playable because it's a towers with 500 more ATK than ultimate falcon, definetly not for his effect. It requires way too much set up and a weaker board, considering you have to spend a crucial search for that terrible rank-up, and all of that for... A board wipe? Not only Kali yuga is obviously better, but It's way more efficient and easy to summon than this conditional boss monster

As a Raidraptor enjoyer, I'm conflicted on the new support. While the spell/trap support is quite nice and the Rank 5 gives you easy access to them or makes Arsenal Falcon easily, I dislike the main deck cards. By locking you into dark for the whole turn, you cannot go into Infinity with soul shave force, and you cannot set up an abyss dweller, which is needed to not die easily to any bystial, especially druisworm. I will have to see if I keep the SHS starters, the time thiefs and the spirits or if I go into a more pure build.

I had some time to think about the combo and going into Raider's Knight, then via Brave Strix into Arsenal Falco, then using it to make Wise Strix gives you an early Ultimate Falco, thus preventing your opponent from responding (the line still dies to Bystial, but what does not in an almost pure dark deck). I'm still unsure if afterwards going into Infinity, Abyss Dweller and Kali Yuga on the opponents turn, or going with the dark lock and ending on Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon, Time Thief Redoer and Kali Yuga on the opponents turn is the better play (exact end board depends on cards in hand). Need to test the deck and try the different builds.
in my opinion you can have both r13 for surprise xyz instead of kali yuga and ultimate flacon for the atsenal falcon play, you will normally have it because 5+4+4 is 13 and one 4 on field and your combo you go through at least one force strix and one brave strix
The new support is really good, but I don't know if the deck could be competitive. I do think that noir lanius and tribute lanius are now a 1 card combo actually to set up the kali yuga combo or the new rank 13 play

Yes, we have only 1 card with the same wording in the game with a comparable effect: Memento Tatsunootoshigo. It is so new it came out this year in the OCG and is not out yet for the TCG. It has the same line "If you control no face up monsters other then "Memento" monsters: SS it" and it works on an empty field too. You need to read the effect like this: The Summoning Condition only cares about Non-Raidraptor monsters. If you would control a non-Raidraptor, you couldn't Special Summon Bloom Vulture. But since having an empty field doesnt count as a Non-Raidraptor (or any monster at all), you can summon Bloom Vulture.
Kali Yuga is completely non-generic, cannot be summoned on the opponent's turn unless you run gimmicks like Wonder Xyz or the new Armored Xyz stuff. Meanwhile Launch limits future card design since PK/RR have Xyz of almost every rank and is the one card that cheated out Aza, Kali and even VFD.

People cry because Kali is an unhealthy mess and want the deck to be more than a boring turn skip turbo. This is the same ideology people for some reason had with the Mayakashi trap where the Mayakashi players hated the card but people were like "you should be happy cuz they're playable". People want their decks to be good on their own merits. Not some unhealthy turn skip or floodgate. The complaints are justified. Fire King got great support while being not only good now but stuck in theme and is no where near unfair. Rogue or bad decks don't need some FTK BS to be good. They just need konami to actually give a shit. RUM Launch should be banned and so should any Yuga enabler. And I say this as someone who used to main RR

Most Decks will be able to play through a certain amount of disruption...espacially if you get handtrapped at crucial choke points like wise strix or raiders knight..even If you get to full combo, investing most of your ressources into a towers that only does something on summon when thrust is running around everywhere for the forseeable future just doesn't cut it

You see I'm playing Vanquish Soul currently and I've been doing pretty good against most things, but I want to present a question. I play 41 card deck with Nib, Shifter, Ash, Fenrir, imperm, basically a lot of non-engine. The 41st card in my deck is Vanquish soul Trinity Burst. It may seem sub-optimal, but without it, how do you out Scareclaw Tri-heart, Skill drain, or any other unaffected by monster effects-like cards? It may seem unreasonable, but my deck just hard-loses to those things and I don't think I have anything better. I was playing Underworld goddess, but it turns out, having 4 monsters on the field is rather difficult, especially for me who's playing a pure build with like 20 non-engine handtraps, Tcboo, board breakers. What would you suggest? If anything it doesn't affect me that much and the card is good on its own. It's a soft once per turn, but not a hard once per turn since it doesn't say you can only use this effect of the cards name once per turn. You can literally summon 3 force strix and use each of em.
I completely disagree with Kali Yuga getting banned. It always has been Launch which is the problem card. Just like Reprodocus and Bish, this card has NEVER BEEN USED for a non-degenerate play. And even Konami accepted that when they released Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Force, which is a balanced yet MUCH STRONGER replacement.
Lithium using the rank 13 boss monster as an extender for little might hurt me in ways I didn’t know I could be hurt.
Hopefully this isn’t then end of the support. RRs have always been one of the coolest decks IMO, would love to see them actually become relevant

You could try the SHS package for a free Force Strix, or the Spirit monsters for more extenders.

The rebelion packet can negate multiple times monster effect so that dweller and infinity and the new trap negate spell/ trap so no infinity need
