      One time I was in a group lesson with another person. My usually lease horse had a girth spot so I couldn’t ride him, I rode a 7 yr old 12 hands pony. It was a super day and had to ride outside. I got on and after a lap of walking he almost digged with one of his foot and started tumbling down to roll in the corner. I dismounted and he ended up rolling over his saddle. For the rest of the ride he had the same steps as 16 hands horse. My trainer ended doing a very hard exercise to do. Worst lesson of my life.

    Very worrying to see so many horses falling at speed and bending their necks as they do so. How many of them will have problems in that area in the future, I wonder?

    • @meganproffitt424

      None. It's only harmful if they're falling numerous times, over and over again. In these incidents, they are most likely isolated incidents.

    • @horsegirl07
      @horsegirl07 4 роки тому +5

      rhysand high lord of the night court I’ve heard that too. I think a great example on what to do is at @1:28 it can be hard to pull them up as they are much stronger than us but, you should try. Also this rider just kept going. I hate seeing people stop! Push them through it (if you can of course!). Some of these rides were not strong enough to sit the buck so that’s probably why they went forward.

    Like how do you hold the horse with one hand especillay for the gallop

  • @tahliam5442
    @tahliam5442 4 роки тому +1

    Some of these occasions are the riders fault, since every time the rider unlocks their cheek bones the horse has no signal, like after the jumps how the rider doesn’t stay balanced and bounces up their not keeping their cheek bones locked in the saddle and their also not turning their inside rein into a circle (on the none jumping ones).
    But sometimes horses just get some adrenaline and become 2 year olds -.-
