Why do you guys think K Series Engines are superior compared to F and B series engines?
Where are the key differences and why is a K24 so much better than a F20C?
Matt is absolutely right. F20c is a great engine of course, but for those who want more, and to keep it n/a, K24 is the way!
K engine also has vtc, F doesn't. Helps with torque at lower rpm big time!

Kr Dz they don’t, they love the cars and the sounds. 90% if people who buy Ferrari’s and Lambos know nothing about what makes an actually great car. They are buying the badge and looks of the car for their ego than for the motor it self. Not to mention the new trend with lambos is to turbo charge them for 1 mile roll races.
The GT3 is literally 2x the HP as this s2000 at almost the same exact curb weight. The GT3 makes as much as most FI cars that’s why people “love” that motor. But people don’t love the GT3 because of the motor. They love it because of how amazing of full round track focused car it is. Some people say it’s one of the best production track cars ever made. Which is kind of true the GT3 is an amazing fucking car. I’d had the chance to drive one at a car meet. It’s beyond amazing to drive. It feels so solid it’s almost undescribable.
CK_32 boosted cars have lower cr so lower thermal efficiency than a high compression all motor build. Turbo is best on diesel or if you want crazy high whp

Man the sound of the blips between shifts just savage. Amazingly built s2000. Being 6 foot 7 I will never be able to drive one. Sat in one once and my knee was completely sticking up above the door. Always great videos man. Looks like a row of beautiful cars were your staying keep having fun.
I'm "only" 6'2 and I can't get comfortable in a stock one either. Low mounted bucket seat makes all the difference. I know it's pretty much a requirement for anyone over 6 foot. They're great cars once you get comfortable, just like the M3.

That whip is proper crazy!!! J swaps are about the same but probably not as balanced with more weight over the front. Man that is awesome! The K24 high compression has larger stroke and bore and is more squared off in rotational mass. Also I think the internals are lighter and stronger than b series engines. If it is a euro type r motor then it should be 12:1 compression or even 12.5:1. Super jealous of that. Here in the States we only get 10.5:1 in the best trim. So we all have to go aftermarket.
Never seen a J swap before! We didn't get the J32 in many cars here..
I daily an fg2, and just bought a bone stock s2k for a project car. If you haven't driven a K series or an F series car you're missing out on 2 of the greatest 4 cylinder engines ever made.
I dig this build ...I much prefer the N/A S2000s ...but chucking a K24 making that HP into an S2000 Platform just makes me weak in the knees!!

The F20C is widely know as one of the best engines ever made, but yeah, imply it isnt a decent engine, cuz why not.

Enric actually had to remove the wing one night for TF as the Marshall didn't like it. He said it drove like shit, and wouldn't do another lap without it! It's not for show 😁

Not familiar w the K swap. How hi does it rev? And what pipe does that thing have sounds great
All depends on the internals and the oiling system, you can make a K24 rev as high as an F20C if you're willing to spend the extra cash but without changing internals you'll want to keep in roughly the 8000-8500rpm range, probably towards the lower end of that range for reliability. This is also assuming that you're running a Type S oil pump which 99,9% of people swapping a K24 are running

So good! Whats the rev limit set to on it? The internet always says that the k24 shouldn't be rev'ed as its a "torque monster" ? Thinking of going down the route of kswapping my s2k, 4th f20c failure is pushing me towards that way! (and unfortunately no I wish i was lieing about the 4th f20c failure....)

4th f20c failure? My s2000 odo is at 200,000, I daily the car on country roads and hit vtec frequently. There’s also lots of people on s2ki with huge mileage figures on their original engines. Do you treat your car well?

For those who have swapped a K into an S2000, how was the NVH and subjective feel of the engine. I'd love to get rid of the F engines slight grittiness, but a big four like the K24 is never that smooth.

Kr Dz lol you’re ignorant. It’s one of the best motors to boost on stock form. The only reason for a k is to go NA. Other than that’s it’s a complete waste of money.

That is the tits, you'd have to sink crazy money into an F20 to get that power and you wouldn't have that torque. I'm definitely fancying a 4.77 diff for mine though, that gearing is spot on.
It would be a bit longer on an F20c with the longer rev limit, may be better for street driving :)
DannyDC2 that's what I'm thinking, plus it'll improve accelaration on track. I tried chasing a mates S2000 with 4.77 FD round Oulton Park, he left me for dead on the straights 😟

DannyDC2 actually yea, im actually currently running a 475hp 6266 track 350Z.. About ready to go 600+whp.. So far no issues here aside from roasted tires and clutches.
Again people who say NA is better than FI, or FI is nothing but headaches have usually never run a properly built boosted car lol
And if you can show me a 900hp NA anything is be very impressed, cause they don’t exist. Cause according to the world records for NA HP, the highest rated NA street car is 740hp. And NONE of those are 4 cyl lol

CK_32 the stock s2000 motor can hold 700 plus on e85. 400 plus is nothing for this motor for track use.
