Thanks! I put the logos on as I hadn't seen anyone else do that on their videos. Couldn't remember which stalls I was filming in some of the shots, so couldn't put the names on for all of them. 👍🏻

I saw a few things on the video that l traded in to Allan at Forgotten Worlds. Chaos Engine and Skyblazer for snes (got shortchanged on the trade) and the Playful Intelligence boxed C64.

I have 2 Saturn's both japanese. Every single game I have is japanese so I don't even have a converter. And let's face it UK Saturn's are 50hz and require a switch install as well. Japanese all the way. Get the mk1 you deserve in the Japanese version. Mk2s don't play jp outrun FYI. Mk2s have a modified chip which is incompatible with outrun. There was a re release to get round it which I have but it's hard to tell them apart unless it's advertised as being the 2nd print. Also, not sure about saturn but ps1 version of bubble bobble stage 97 is impossible to pass without a form of clear screen power up/umbrella skip. They coded the wind wrong so the bubbles never travel where you need to go. Shame really as its 240p version and pretty good looking.
Doubt I'll have the patience to get to level 97 lol. I'll see how I get on with the Action Replay. Funnily enough, I've just been playing Outrun on the Sega Ages disc!
@@RetroOrBust I think outrun on pal came as a compilation disc. Japan got individual releases of 5 games. Power drift and galaxy 2 not on pal. I think the release came much later after model 2. More than 80 percent of my collection is ntsc I cannot play in pal mode. Of my pal releases most are megadrive which run at 60hz on ntsc hardware. Not to mention your pal cases will be battered on saturn and falling apart. Japanese used cd cases, change em over. Job done. Saturn works both ways with regions most pal games work perfectly on ntsc Saturn's. You would have been better off with a Japanese saturn and UK released games. Jp Saturn's are quite cheap I'm going there soon might pick up a white saturn.

I've just been looking into the Sega Ages & it seems like Japan got loads of volumes, including games like Fantasy Zone, Columns, & Phantasy Star collection. The one I was holding in the footage from Allan's stall was "Memorial Selection Vol. 1" I didn't get it as I'd only heard of 2 of the games, Flicky & Pengo. I wish I'd picked up that Salamander deluxe pack that was briefly shown as that looks awesome!
You're right about the cases. I know them all too well from my time working at Gamestation. I'd pick them up & they'd just fall apart! 😂
Everyone bangs on about how good Doncaster is, its not that special compared to the rest of the shows. Japanese Saturn all the way. Almost all the games are in English on the Japanese version except for RPG's.
I got a Japanese Saturn game yesterday from a place near me. No idea what kind of game it is yet, but it does look like an RPG 🤣 Only got it as it was cheap & to test the Action Replay cart I got also. Doncaster was good but it pales in comparison to Play Expo Blackpool!
That turbo basic just looks like it gives you extra BASIC commands to make it easier to draw graphics and sprites. It’s easier than poking a shed load of decimal values that represent bytes in video ram.
