At 7:20 to get the coin behind the axe man, you need to have beaten every boss in inkwell isle 1 and not only Cagney carnation.

If y'all are wondering, to get the pacifist rank, you have to complete a run & gun level without firing

And if you get the game illegally it sounds really creepy Not that I did that but I just saw it on yt

If you watch the cartoon "Swing You Sinners!" listen to how the song sounds towards the end (after the ghosts follow Bimbo into a cave, and it's mostly just the ghosts doing stuff in front of a dark background) then listen to Cagney Carnation's music in Floral Fury.
They're not exactly the same, but they are close.

You don’t need to beat all bosses to unlock 2 strip mode. I’m able to unlock it after defeating Rumor Honeybottoms and Rugged Ridge. Though I had A+ and P ranks all the way through at that point.
The music tracks have wrong info too. You unlock the minimalist track by talking to both music guys back and forth. Eventually, the record player will give you the minimalist track. The other music guy will swap the music back to default. It has nothing to do with expert difficulty.
Also, the axe guy won’t step aside for beating just Cagney Carnation. All bosses in Inkwell Isle 1 need to be defeated to access the coin.

One reference that very little have found is that Werner Werman seems to represent a German/Prussian Soldier. With his helmet being a picklehaube which was worn by Prussians. Along with the British flag in the top right of the background.

Something else kind of cool. The sub-boss Chips Bettigan in the stage "All Bets Are Off" sort of reminds me of the Mega Man boss Yellow Devil. Their attacks are very similar.

2 In the ribby and croaks boss battle one of them can do a spindash ( and I think it's casino night zone from where you fight them or the final boss )
The final phase of the Hilda Berg fight, and the sarcophagus phase of the Djimmi fight, were the two points at which I realized just how seriously WHACKED OUT this game is. :)

Ribby and Croaks also are a reference to Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter. Their Gi's, taunts at the start of the level, and their first moves: fireballs and punch holograms: are essentially the two characters hadokins.
Acme brand can also be seen in Animanics ( if I spelt that show right ) last month I finished that show in like a week lol

For the 2 Strip filter, you can get 1 S rank instead of getting all As on all bosses. I S ranked the root pack but still havent gotten enough As in isle 3, but I have it.
Doesn’t work like that, I got an s rank on root pack the second I beat the devil and I still don’t have two strip
