  • Guys, sometimes I'm just beside myself. This tour of ‪@WorldwideAuctioneers‬ is one of those times. They seriously have something here for everyone. Pre-war cars like Auburns and Duesenbergs, to modern supercars like a Porsche 911R and Ferrari 575M. Even things in between like a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing and a 1955 Corvette. But the real cherry on top was the 1932 Packard Twin Six that I had the pleasure of driving. Come along as I show you some of the neatest stuff at this auction!
    Thanks for watching!

Elliott you are the best car auction color analyst. Your delivery is naturally conversational and informative. You are the Jay Leno of the Great Plains, even though he owns most of the cars he talks about. Also both you and Jay Leno restore your own cars. Jay has a zillion dollar Stanley Steamer and your have a $4,000 Volvo Sport Station Wagon that needs new clear coat. Best of luck getting more gigs like this.

Yep, @EmmyJune212008, the Shelby Series 1 was powered by Oldsmobile's 4.0L L47 Aurora V8 DOHC engine.
    It had a base hp of 320 (0-60 mph/4.4 seconds & 12.8 seconds/quarter mile at 112 mph) with a top speed of 170 mph , an optional supercharged version of 450 HP (0-60 mph/3.2 seconds & 11.35 seconds/quarter mile) , and an X50 engine option adding another 50 HP.
    This car was no slouch.

Elliott, good lord man, have they even seen the vehicles you drive!? How did you ever get them to let you behind the wheel of that rolling art piece!?
But seriously though, what an honor to get to experience such an incredible car firsthand. I'm extremely envious of you! Thank you for once again showcasing the cars that most automotive UA-camrs don't. It's obvious how much you know about and appreciate the cars from these mostly forgotten eras.

Keep in mind that roads suc I rd back in the 30's. Most weren't paved, and many were brick. So in order to mitigate that bouncing and constant shake, you needed to really insulate yourself from that. So 140hp was a lot back then because most people walked or had motor bikes, or carriages still in rural parts. Going 50 mph would be flying past most people. My grandfather used to talk about being a car stable boy in the 30's in Georgia. He worked for a wealthy peach, nut, cattle and chicken farmer. He always had the latest and greatest cars and trucks, His job, at 10 years old, was to wash the vehicles and then drive the owner in a Ford truck to go visit the parts of the farm. He made a whopping 5 dollars a week. Which was huge money then.

lol they don't have something for everyone as I doubt they have any broken down vehicles that are in need of around 10k worth of repairs so that excludes poor Tyler. There were only 249 Series 1 made and all were in 1999
