yeah, a few people mentioned that. Admittedly, I was lazy here. I realized this morning that I should have taken the opportunity to completely straighten out the hull. I could still do it, but let's see how my mood is. I'm a bit torn between making the ship as beautiful as she could be, versus the time I have to spend doing it.
@@martijnonderwater still you can paint it over the cracs but you just can not fill the cracs with paint..so it is eazier what i used to do is if iam going to paint it sand it good as i can than spray a grey or black base coat it shows the cracs and surface ups and downs better than little more putty and little sanding off you go..
@@AhmetAygit I usually don't paint the hull, and prefer to keep the wood as it is. During the build I do my utmost best to avoid cracks, because I don't like filling them. If I fill them, it always shows after varnishing the hull. But I have new glue now, so I'm going to do a test soon. Anyway, I'm still going try and make this ship a beauty 😊
@@martijnonderwater yoww all is try an error i watch alot on utube every day i learn new staff that other people came up with..so be patient keep working it will be nice at the end..
yes, I replied in SoS :-) And I should have fulled the cracks. As a matter of fact, I should have straightened out the hull completely. I got fed up a bit with painting :-(
ouch, it's way too late for that :-) Wait until you see what I do later. But I agree, it was better unpainted. I just had to try it once in my modeling career!
Called Building the Carolina.
are you referring to the series of videos about building the Carolina? I didn't know about it, but I'll watch the videos. Thanks!
Should have used wood putty to get rid of the cracs and cravices..would have looked better..
