- Concerns about the policies of Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price are being raised by one of her own prosecutors who has resigned in protest.
"You actually felt that lives would be lost because of (Pamela) Price being elected?" I-Team reporter Dan Noyes asked Charly Weissenbach, former prosecutor in Alameda County.

A covered dead body on a sidewalk as Police talked as I drove by, 4. 13 year old prostitutes on corners…
The treelined road in the hills I took to avoid all of that, has now devolved into
a road infested with carjackers. In a city rife with uninsured and unlicensed, drivers, and people disoriented from their presciption meds…nothing induces me to drive into that city anymore.
The DA inherited a nightmare but her policies are making the city unliveable for the majority- working families. Those policies have driven out friends of mine who had owned property there, and sold it, reluctantly, to save their sanity, their health and their lives.
This DA’s “Captain Save ‘Em” mindset is an abyssmal mess.

Most of the people that voted for her knew all of this and they still voted for her anyway. They think that crime is not going to come knocking at their door or their friends or family. After it does they end up on the 6 O'clock news crying and asking where are the police that they defunded and why did the DA release or not charge this repeat offender with a track record a mile long. She already tried to give a murderer of 3 people a 15 year plea deal instead of the 75 years to life that he deserved. Thank goodness the judge put a stop to that free giveaway.

I am sure this prosecutor will be offered many opportunities to serve somewhere else. PRICE needs to be FIRED. I am glad she isn't in my county. Laws need to be strengthened...not weakened. Several years ago...my husband and I decided to vote in favor of the lower bail measure on the ballot. This was during COVID when courts were closed, and defendants were sitting in jail for a year or more without a trial. We felt "sorry" for "candybar thieves".
As soon as that law was put into place, shoplifters got more violent. Smash and Grabs blew up businesses causing destruction and loss of $$$. Asians were being assaulted on the streets. None of these violent criminals were held for very long. They were released back into the Public where they continued their destructive impulses. So...NEVER AGAIN will my husband and I become "bleeding hearts" for criminals after what we've seen these past 5 years. Stricter laws are better laws.

I never voted bc I just don’t trust politicians bc most of them lie and I knew this since I was a teenager.
During the pandemic , I did my research.
I listened to both sides.
I looked at the consequences and outcome of liberal policies compared to conservative values.
I also looked at how my life improved as well as the economy with Trump as president compared to Obama’s terms.
If people don’t do their research on the ACTIONS of politicians and the effects of their policies on society then they shouldn’t vote.

As a resident of Alameda County, I didn’t vote for her. I believe I know who voted for her.
I appreciate that former prosecutor for coming forward. It's not easy to speak up. I wasn't aware that so many prosecutors have left. This is a danger to society.

Well the judge usually asks is the victim and police on board with this plea? By allowing this or if judge did ask and the DA lied then she should be disbarred. If the judge didn't ask, then the judge should be at a minimum have a judicial complaint levied against him/her.
There is a difference between not always pursuing hardest punishment for non violent criminals, and releasing a guy that removed an unborn baby from a family after 1 year
This can be EASILY fixed. First remove their qualified immunity. Second, why can police officers be charged with malfeasance (the doing of a wrongful act), misfeasance (the incorrect, improper or wrongful performance of a lawful act) or nonfeasance (failure to perform an act required by the duties of the office) but attorneys and judges can’t? Let’s make these laws, I bet we will see all prosecutors and judges start actually upholding their oaths and doing their jobs. When they start being held accountable for their actions or inactions, they actually might care.
Sounds like the start of a Chesa Boudin recall all over again....expect Ms. Weissenbach to run for Alameda DA next time around.
