What DAX described sounds exactly like what I dealt with for 20 years until I was diagnosed with narcolepsy. With narcolepsy, you can enter REM while you are still awake or almost instantly falling asleep. The brain releases chemicals that paralyze the muscles so you don’t thrash around. I have them, but I know I am awake but dreaming and unable to do anything. For the longest time I was worried that I was hallucinating and hearing things as soon as I closed my eyes. Worst one, I was dreaming that I was on a safari and I just came around a large rock outcropping when a lion jumped on me and was going to rip me apart. My eyes opened just in time to see my cat landing on me in bed. Freaked me the crap out. #hangovergang forever ✌🏽
I know exactly what he’s talking about that lucid dreaming and having to force yourself up. I just start getting a bad vibe and force myself up. But in a recent dream when i realized it was dream I made myself fly it was so cool.
It happens when consciously for a sleep. It's between wake and sleep, you aren't fully awake or asleep. You slowly fall asleep and realise that something strange is happening during the process then fear, anxiety.... and consciously wake up.
I had a wreck when i was 17, that resulted in the death of a friend. I have sleep paralysis dreams out of the blue where he is sitting on my chest choking me and can't breathe too. They are terrifying.
Nova, I too think dreams are sometimes more than dreams ... In highschool I had a series or 3 horrifying dreams that I had to force myself to forget..... This was kinda like foreshadowing my best friend killed himself.....
Yeah...leave it to the "Canucks" to show us "Americans" how we can all have conversations, despite our differences! You guys all should be an influence. Much Mahalos!
The one that always gets me, and, I hear so many others as well, is the one where I am either running fast, or driving fast, and suddenly, out of nowhere, I go over the edge of a deep cliff! I ALWAYS get that whole body spasm, and physically jump halfway up, waking up, and realizing, again, that it wasn't real! But, it FEELS real! When I go over the edge, I get that gut-dropping feeling for real! Scares the hell out of me. And I'm no baby! I'm 6'3" 220lbs, and retired military, and my heart is racing like I just ran a marathon!
Okay I just went and listened to Dax song he spoke of...The Devil Calling... absolute chills shot through my body as I read the lyrics while listening. WOW! I encourage everyone to go check it out!

Then I took it and shouted, Cmon! When I charged, all the dark forces ran away because the sword as glowing so bright...and I woke up. From then on I realized...fear is what they live off from and if you show no fear, they have no power.
sleep paralysis happened to me once at 16 years old and it was terrifying. I saw a dark shape out of the corner of my eye and sensed malevolence. I could not move anything. I struggled to move and finally got my pinky to twitch. that broke it. I shot up out of the bed and blasted in to my parent's bedroom utterly hysterical. I never had the feeling that I was asleep. I had been staring at the light on my stereo though so may have hypnotized myself to end up in a state similar to sleep. I hope to heaven it never happens again
My least favorite and most terrifying dreams are the ones where someone is attacking me and no matter how hard I try to punch them back , my arms punch like I'm underwater . I'm strong and and can knock a fool out in real life , but never in my dreams
I've had several experiences where I was stuck between sleep and waking. The most intense one.. I woke up.. very disoriented and I did not recognize ANYTHING! It was my apartment, I had lived there for almost 3 years, but I literally had no idea where I was. I actually was thinking I still lived in a previous city, over 5 years previous. I was probably in this state for at least 10-15 minutes. I called out, "hello? Is anyone here!" several times. Finally I got up out of the bed, fully dressed(which was weird) and walked into the living area. Still not remembering how I got to this random place... And then I decided to look outside. When I opened the door and looked out at the pine trees and rural looking area... Not the sandy desert I lived in, I panicked and quickly shut the door. The very second the door slammed shut it was like I got body slammed.. but I knew where I was.. still to this day I can remember exactly all the feelings if confusion worry and fear...
They said that when your sleep the wall that protects us from the spiritual world comes down. I believe this as a person who speaks with spirits. I have also heard that when you are sleep walking or sleep talking that you are actually speaking with spirits
Sleep paralysis is awful and feels very really. Mine is alway's associated with evil, the same man & abuse. Had it since I was 15 and now 38 & need to fight my way out of it n def can't go back to sleep!
I have almost the same experience when I have my "episodes". I am sleeping but can hear everything around me, I cannot open my eyes nor speak. Seems to happen when I am overtired. To me I feel it is about lack of control. Riding a bike can't open your eyes. Running away from something and your feet don't move. Helplessness?
the bathroom break thing happened too! i thought i was walking to the bathroom, and i grabbed my pillow that i had on me for some reason? layed down on the floor and woke up i was back in bed staring at the wall. fairly certain i fell asleep with my eyes open or something crazy
My dad had a scary sleep experience, when he was in Indonesia. He was sleeping one night and woke up to a black mass sitting on his chest, crushing him. He wasn’t able to breathe, and was terrified and mustered his breathe to say “Jesus”. And then the black mass disappeared and he could breathe again. 😮
Man, I have had multiple similar dreams, one really close. Dreams are a deep subject for me. I have a ton of stories lol. Particularly when I was young. Most of the time now my dreams are very short and forgettable, but now and then I still get a pretty epic dream.
while sleep paralysis can be scary its better and easier to wake from it if you teach yourself to relax while it's happen. You will either wake from it or gently fall asleep
That’s crazy. I’ve had that before too. And I have to like yell along with physically forcing my body to move and I just come like busting out of it. Always freaks my wife out. Haven’t had one in forever now that I think about it, so now I will lol
When I was little I had a reoccurring dream about Godzilla coming to our town. Every time I would stay behind because there wasn't enough room on the bus and I gave my seat to a little boy. I was chased around every time until after I started realizing I was dreaming in the dream. After that I decided since I was dreaming to change the story I turned big and beat Godzilla. I haven't had that dream since. But I definitely think there are entities you can connect with in lucid dreams. I have had a few times experiencing sleep paralysis and the falling in dreams. Those are not fun but I don't have them often. My favorite dreams are when I'm flying ☺️
I have had this sleep paralyzed thing a couple times.. scary as can be.. took all the will i had to escape.. thank God only twice as once is enough.. lol 😆
I haven’t had any sleep paralysis experiences besides feeling like I’m falling when I wake up. Rare it happens. Interesting thing. My sister’s fiancé helps to make the EA Sports video games in Vancouver. Gonna go to their wedding in Whistler, BC.
I have a heard time breathing during my sleep paralysis or whatever it is and I swear you are in limbo when that happens between life and death. It’s crazy. I didn’t know other people had the exact same thing happen to them. I don’t know how to really describe to people what’s going on but it makes me scared to try to go to sleep. It’ll happen several times in a row for me also everytime I’m trying to fall asleep. I’ll get out of it and then start trying to fall asleep again and then the process starts all over.
Tom, Nova I have a really hard time breathing in the sleep poralasous state and the worst time was when I was a bout 7 and I could open my eyes but I was face first in the pillow for over 5 minutes, I honestly thought I was gonna suffocate, and now its never been that bad again but like you just said I wake up gasping for air.
When it comes to dreams I myself personally really don’t have them that often while getting older but when I do dream I have too much of a weird or psychedelic even, realistic at the same time..; teachable or even partially coming true in life; lucid; aware and so on… that it would be to long to write in a simple one comment.. great story’s guys and it’s awesome that you also explain everything 😉
I've experienced these "lucid dreams" SO many times! I've had them where they started as normal dreams but turn into nightmares and then realize I'm dreaming. And in one instance I had these dark figures who were chasing me and I felt the danger and urgency to get out of this because I knew they wanted to kill me. And I got out of it screaming the Lord's prayer. And I had found this old ass desk (I was in an abandoned building) and I somehow carved the Lord's prayer as I was saying it because it's like I couldn't get it out. I kept messing it up. And I know the Lord's prayer. I grew up reading it at the top of my parents house stairs every single day. But it's like something was making me mess up and forget pieces. Idk. It's weird. I've had it happen many times but that was the scariest. I've also talked to my dad a few times since he's passed away in these types of "dreams". Once with him I felt like he didn't want to let me wake up but I couldn't see him. And then another man's voice came from behind his and said "You have to let her go now. It's not her time. You have to let her go back." And I them woke up on my room. It's weird stuff dude.

To me I feel it is about lack of control. Riding a bike can't open your eyes. Running away from something and your feet don't move. Helplessness?
Naps are killing mE!! ...but Im 55..lol can't help myself
the bathroom break thing happened too! i thought i was walking to the bathroom, and i grabbed my pillow that i had on me for some reason? layed down on the floor and woke up i was back in bed staring at the wall. fairly certain i fell asleep with my eyes open or something crazy
Please give us a collab album with Dax!
Freeze string cheese, take it out of freezer quickly wrap it in bacon and fry...sweet dreams!
I have dreams of saving people from something that I can not see. when I wake up I'm sore.
Notification Bell on. Don’t wanna miss a video!! ❤
Thank you! I didn't get to pay attention to the stories during stream was so focused on chat lol.
Summit with the BEST!!🤟❤🤟❤🤟
Don't worry Dax I'm a damn cheese nut/connoisseur/junk 🤣
I definitely believe Dax about the spiritual battle and I definitely think it does effect your dreams
Ive done the same things but awake. same exact things
I didn't feel asphyxiation I felt my soul was being snuffed and quickly anyone else?
Dax ❤👵🏽👋🏾 Young man you have a beautiful voice !

My top 3 artists in one place! Amazing!!! Definitely recommend you all go on the Timcast Podcast.
And Upchurch lol. That would be legendary.
First time I’ve seen Tom laugh like that (the block cheese bit). Loved it 😁
Both these dudes are on some next level ish
Omg Dax !! I’m going to your concert in Vancouver in November ♥️ great spooky story!!
I wake up around 3:40am to go pee, then I get a bowl of cereal 🥣
Game cube Zelda games in my opinion are the best games...Now back then between 360 & PS3 the cube had a best graphics a picture
😂😂i do the same thing to my wife tom.. always trying to get her to wake me up and i do stop breathing but ill wake up when that happens. It is scary..
shouldn't have gone to sleep, dax and tom with nova, this the highlight man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tom, Nova I have a really hard time breathing in the sleep poralasous state and the worst time was when I was a bout 7 and I could open my eyes but I was face first in the pillow for over 5 minutes, I honestly thought I was gonna suffocate, and now its never been that bad again but like you just said I wake up gasping for air.
You should check out that movie idea. ...
This is dope af!
I used to have sleep paralysis often. Multiple times a day when I worked midnights. It is a very interesting and scary thing when you aren’t aware.
Thank you Nova 🎃
Those two guys look like they could be rappers. The girl strikes me as artsy, so maybe she'll get a career in making videos.
There is no other duos that can take Tom and Dax stand a chance against these 3 genuineness their second to none and believe me my 28 year old son can domalish any rappers out today but Tom and Dax are dangerous with lyricie my son Cody Hoaks is good but not as good as these two YET but he is very talented and humble 💙
I used to play C.O.D, Sonic, super Mario bros 🤣
