      @@Aimia4 If you want to get technical, because of the vena cava and aortic arch (etc.) almost no blood vessels connect directly to the heart without branching from something else. If we take "direct" to mean "without obstruction or intervention" then all blood vessels are connected to the heart.

    The ring also represents the Crown of Thorns, so it also symbolizes sacrifice for one’s beloved.

    Not entirely correct. On which hand the wedding band is worn depends on the religion. Orthodox Christians wear their wedding bands on their right hand, regardless if the person is left or right handed. Engagement rings are to be worn on the left hand.

      not entirely correct. where you're from also dictates which hand goes the ring, also with the rise of atheism does anyone really care about religion in this matter?

      In the Netherlands traditionally catholic people wear their ring on the left ring finger. Therefore the protestants wore their ring on the right ring finger.

      I am a catholic and most wedding band are worn in the left, but i don't have a church wedding, I opt for a civil wedding and we were instructed to put it in the right hand.. I am not a fond of wearing any rings so i never wear mine but my husband has not taken his wedding ring since the marriage.

    All blood passes through the heart, so YES, there is a vein in your ring finger that leads all the way to your heart.

    The ring finger (the one between the pinky and the middle finger) is considered the *fourth* finger in the UK, and not the third? Color me surprised!

    I learned that it was a Roman believe, although that doesn't mean it isn't a Egyptian believe (aswell.) And ofcourse, all fingers have a line to the heart, as that is where the blood comes from.

    • @nishie.e
      @nishie.e 2 роки тому +1

      Egypt is much, much older than Rome, so I’d say it was probably originally from Egypt, and anyway, most of what the Romans believed in was just Greek mythology slightly altered.

    An engagment ring is according to tradition and proper etiquette the ring should be a plain goldring .The left hand is the correct one . And both the man and the woman get a ring. At the wedding the woman get a new ring .

    This doesn’t sound entirely William. Too many options, too many variations of the rules. And saving the planet at the expense of ones social status, I don’t think so. Bring up that welsh gold! And if there’s a 12 year old to do it, all the better!

    • @JoanMorrison-vq2jc
      @JoanMorrison-vq2jc 5 місяців тому +1

      Why learn this? Each culture differs. We have to be ourselves and just keep our manners. I'm thinking that it really is that simple. For example in the western world we tip people but don't ever tip in Japan because the Japanese will become insulted very easily. The Japanese have a job to do and they don't need any rewards. I also read that in Japan it's polite to belch at the table to show that they enjoyed their meals. Oh well...

    Why don't we discuss the open invasion and ethnic replacement of us britts. Seems to me no one wants to discuss such timid and rocky subjects. Seems to me it's being pushed to the side intentionally.

      Yes I'd like tontslk about that. As a Pict, we've been pushed aside in our own country by the Gaelics for centuries, but no one's talking about it. We need to speak out more for Pict justice!
