The way you have to double write with the trouble maker kelp tea is probably because it's a very high shading ink. Reminds me of when I double wrote with my sailor using Nekoyanagi ink. The viscosity of those inks are greater so they flow slower so that they can slowly shade on the paper. You'll need a broader nip tip with a generous feed for the ink to come out faster. It will shade a bit less though, but you won't have to deal with the ink slowly flowing out of the nib since we write fast xD and the damn ink doesn't come out fast enough to keep up!!

Thanks for the tip, will try it with my broader nibs next time. ❤

Thanks Cory for the ink update. Such lovely inks and you are keeping excellent record of performance! 👏 can’t wait for you to try your bottle inks with your Muji pen.

I agree the Troublemaker multi-shading inks ae very dry. I think it is plausible (or at least very interesting) when the same ink appears very different on different papers. The Sailor Yurameku 2nd series was in fact designed to do that. Interesting inks. Thank you for the update.

Yesss to be fair with troublemaker
Kelp Tea i do love its multi-shading characteristic. I guess I was just not prepared when writing on my travelers notebook it was brown so brown instead of grey hahaha I don’t have any yurameku inks yet but thanks for the info and thanks again for watching!🥰
