Hi lovely, these pudding mixes will also be handy, for filling cakes, trifles
    etc too.
A great way of storing all your bulk mixes is to use a FoodSaver mason jar attachment which sucks out all the air leaving the jar sealed and oxygen free. You can re-seal after each use.
    Great video Lori👍🏻❤️

This looks so delicious. I must try it. I'm wondering if you can make instant lemon pudding. Would that be the same recipe only with lemon extract? or would you use something other than milk? Could you just change extracts for any desired flavor using this as base? Or is there another base that should be used?

Hi Lori, headed over from Katie‘s and Vickie‘s channels! Great collaboration! Katie brought back childhood memories about the Jiffy corn bread mix and you’re doing the same with the pudding mix! I remember when general foods came out with instant putting in the box. I asked my mom if we could get some and she said… Oh we can easily make that homemade! And I was also over visiting Tammy‘s channel and she was showing her waffle maker from the 1970s… We used to have one of those too! This was just a wonderful collaboration and a wonderful journey down memory lane. Thanks so much for all you share! Love, Mary❤️😘❤️

So happy to see this. Time to order all the ingredients to make this for myself. And hubby loves a good chocolate pudding as well. Thanks for the great videos Lori. I have made so many of your dry mixes. They taste so much better than the store bought ones, with no added chemicals or all that extra salt they add. I have recently been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis so this is going to help in seasoning my food with out all the added sugar and salts and chemicals. Even my doctor was happy to hear that I have started doing this. Take care and keep the wonderful videos coming. God bless you and Mr. Brown.

I love, love that you said you were using Monk Fruit sweetener! My first thought before watching the video was to wonder if that was possible! Thank you so much! I do have a question, how long would this be good for stored? Could you increase the time by packaging in mylar with an o2 absorber or would it be limited to the expiration date of the Monk Fruit? Also, could you use powdered milk and powdered vanilla so all you would have to do is add water? Just a thought!

You know you CAN put the vanilla in the dry mix.
You need an alcohol based vanilla, cheap store bought, or glycerine based won't work very well.
Take the sugar you are using in the recipe (I don't know if it will work with other sweeteners), and mix the sugar thoroughly with the vanilla. Then lay the sugar out flat on a jelly roll pan and allow it to dry thoroughly. Sift the vanilla flavored sugar and remove and crush any lumps so it will incorporate smoothly.
As long as you use alcohol based extracts, you can make your pudding in all KINDS of flavors. Coconut, almond, maple, if you can find or make an extract in that flavor, you can make a pudding out of it (most are best if you use part vanilla too). This flavored sugar can also be used to flavor anything you would sweeten, like coffee, tea, cereal, cake mixes, muffin mixes, the list is nearly endless.

Miss Lori- You and Mr Brown are extremely special people. I don't think y'all can quite grasp how much your "fans" enjoy y'all. I don't want to speak for everybody but y'all are among some of my FAVORITE people and I've never even met ya! I just watched a video that you talked alil bit at the end about the appreciation y'all have for your subscribers and viewers. I believe it was just last year (2019) but I may be wrong. You were so excited that the channel had 1,000 subscribers. LOOK AT Y'ALL NOW!! Your humbleness is so real. True gratitude is difficult to fake so I can tell it comes from the heart. Y'all are simply... genuine.. real. I think y'all are so successful bc so many of us yearn for the simpler life that y'all live every day. I know I am envious of the good energy that y'all share. Both the "aura" kinda energy AND the get-up-n-go energy! Thank you for the time y'all give us. With everything else that y'all have on your plates- I appreciate you sharing your way of life w us! The patient, mild mannered way you teach is amazingly simple and effective. Y'all ARE appreciated. Probably more than you realize. The amount of views on some of your videos tells me you have more 'fans' than the amount of subscribers suggests. I could go on & on but I'll leave it at simply THANK YOU!!!

Mrs. Lori all of your videos are so wonderful. So many items to add to my pantry and for giving as Christmas gifts. Mrs. Lori I would like to suggest to you what would possibly help your Bursitis, and that's coconut oil. In December 2020 we sold our house in California and moved to Salem Missouri. This is a whole new life God has blessed us with, going from city life to rural country living. Im trying to use more natural resources for my aliments so when I have sciatica pain I rub coconut oil on the area and it does so wonderful, I no longer use icy hot. Pray that this helps you Mrs. Lori. Love and blessings. Missouri Wrightchk

Danny Brown thank you. Thought should thicken like corn starch. I’m doing the pudding now with a twist... adding in powdered milk and dried vanilla powder.
Which will be one cup to 2 cups water. Just in case unable to get milk.

Lori, I started using monk fruit some time last summer. It’s perfect! I get the same sweetness as sugar & nearly the same measuring ability. I tried powdered stevia & didn’t like it, but I love sweetening a glass of tea with liquid stevia. Remember Fasweet? Only it’s not saccharine. Love your channel & you missed your calling. You’re an educator at heart.

Peggy Key, I don't like Stevia either. It leaves a strange aftertaste to me. Thanks to you and Ms. Lori, I think I'll give the monkfruit sweetener a try.

I’m just very curious about the American standard diet, is it really common to eat desserts and snacks and such every day or several times a week?
I feel all Americans talks about snacks and cakes and pies.
In Norway where I live we dont usually eat snacks . We eat three to four meals a day.
It is a tradition that we get a little bit of candy or savory snacks on Saturday evening. We all call it “Saturday goodies” .
All the children look forward to Saturday’s because they the can get a candy bar or something😊
Cakes or pies are usually only eaten at birthday parties or other parties.
Desserts only on holidays, some families eat dessert every Sunday, but thats mostly elderly people. Cookies mostly for Christmas.sometimes people make waffles on Sunday usually eaten with sweet brown goat cheese or jam and sour cream .
We are not allowed to send white bread for school lunches and certainly no snacks of any kind, not even cakes for the children’s birthdays .
Brown bread (no sweet spreads )or a salad with a piece of fruit is normal for packed lunches.
We don’t have school lunches here.
The differences are interesting to me😊
There are a lot of american food I’d like to try , since we can’t get all the cake or pudding mixes or canned soups and other pre made food you have in recipes ,
I really like your channel since you show us how to make our own mixes and soups that we don’t have access to.😊

Malina very interesting is your diet of food you eat a tradition or control because of food that is available we Americans do tend to eat too many snacks and desserts what is the life expectancy in Norway? We are so blessed to have most any kind of food you would want to make we do tend to eat too much I am trying to learn to eat less at a meal because the food is so good Thank you for watching
