    We need to remember that when disaster strikes an area, the needs of the people do not go away when the headlines fade. Their need remains. Recovery is a long hard process and even if peoples homes are rebuilt and the towns are rebuilt, their lives remain changed forever. Pick a disaster to help and stick with it. Thank you for posting this. I live 700 miles away from Hackleburg but still have many ties to there. My parents lost their house there to the storm.

    7 years later these videos and memories of that tragic day seem so fresh and raw. Our community of Hackleburg has since rebuilt and continues to add businesses. I will never leave this town. Hackleburg has become my forever home.

    @justBob308 Thanks for the compliments on the photographs. All of the volunteers are what have made this possible. As soon as the storm passed, people were out there. I hope the effort continues, despite the news cycle.
