    I know it's a whole lot of talking in this video, but I believe this could be helpful to anyone who wishes to apply for a master degree in Korea! Don't worry though, to make up for it I'll post a small make-up video on Sunday💕. Are you planning on doing a master in Korea? If so, what major are you going for? :D

      @@parkmisha1393 Hii! so sorry for my late reply, honestly I don't know D: I do know that once you complete a master degree in Korea, you can work in Korea for 2 years with your own visa. After that, a company needs to sponsor your visa. There are some exceptions of course, but if your specialty is wanted then I'm sure Korean companies will pay for your work visa!

    My one and only desire is to enroll into non-thesis master's degree course, I've seen such options at Korea University for example but I never heard of someone actually taking that or making a youtube video on that...My bachelor thesis was such a pain, if I could only avoid that in master's😭

    Hi, maybe I’m late for this one, but I have some questions to ask you, if that’s possible. :)
    Are lessons and exams held in English or only in Korean? I’ve been trying to figure it out through many uni websites but they drive me crazy ughh. Inside some websites they specify whether it is an English major or not, but many others just don’t write it and they make me really confused.
    Also, how does the interview work? What is it about?
    Where did you study and what English majors does your University offer?
    Thank you for your time🤍

    Hi, maybe i'm slow, but i didn't get if you need to be already approved by GKS to try a college or if it is the other way around. Also about korean university websites, they make me go crazy, like why so hard? The funny is that the korean embassy in my country website is just as hard, and they don't have any info about gks only old news, like from 2017.

    • @zuzu
      @zuzu  Рік тому +1

      You don't need GKS to study in Korea. GKS is a scholarship, so lots of tuition costs and fees will be paid by the Korean government. However, if you wish to study with the GKS scholarship, this is what the website has to say about it: Applicants should submit all documents related to their scholarship application to the Korean Embassy in their country of residence or to the domestic university concerned. In other words, you'd need to apply for GKS through the Korean embassy in your country or apply through the university where you want to study. If you want more information about GKS, please check the links in my description box c: I hope this helped! (and yes I agree the websites of Korean universities are a peachy problem omg)

      It's very exciting to hear that you wish to study in Korea, but unfortunately I can't help you. This kind of research should be done by yourself to find the university that fits you best - I can't decide that for you. Most universities in Korea have English websites, you should be able to find all the information that you need.

    hello Zuzu Do you know how much GPA is necessary for admission for a grad school in Seoul?

    • @zuzu
      @zuzu  2 роки тому +1

      Hmm, I don't think there's a certain bar for how high it should be. However, universities do give a preference to students with high GPA scores. For example, the university I was applying for they used a GPA score of x out of 4. They said they'd give preference to students with a GPA of 3.5 out of 4 and above. I think it'd be best to check the university's website and if you can't find anything just apply and see what happens! I wish Korea was less focused on high grades or prestige universities and just looked at someone's experience though.

    The d2 visa is maximum for 2 years stay. Then what to do if I want to do PhD after Masters in the same university? I mean for example if I am applying for spring 2023 intake then after 2 years, my Masters will be over in spring 2025. Then I want to take admission for PhD in autumn 2025. But I won't be able to stay more in korea due to d2 visa deadline and I can't extend it without the admission letter of PhD, in the case what to do?

    Is it okay to get master's degree that is not related to your bachelors degree?

    • @zuzu
      @zuzu  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, that's okay as long as you can give a good reason why! For example, I studied game development but I wanted to do a master in Korean Culture & Society. My reason was that Korea is my passion and I wanted to pursue that passion. But you can also have a reason like becoming more specialized in a certain mayor for your future job etc etc😁

      @@zuzu btw what will happen if you finish masters degree. Do u need to go back to your country because ur student visa is expired. How can you change visa when working in korea. And what type of visa should get

    • @zuzu
      @zuzu  2 роки тому +1

      @@meshi3373 I think you're allowed to work in Korea for 2 years after finishing your master degree. For that visa, you'd need to inform yourself at the Korean ministry of Foreign Affairs, probably? They'll give you the information as to how to change your visa, so that you can work in Korea for two years. (Or just ask the people at the university to help you). During those two years it's great to find a job, start networking etc because after those two years you'll need to find another way to have a visa in Korea. For example, if you work at a company in Korea they can sponsor your visa as long as you're employed by them. Or maybe you find true love, get married and get a visa that way. I can't really tell you which visa to get, because the university will tell you which student visa you need to apply for and the same goes for a future job at a company in Korea. Just know that getting a sponsored visa by a company in Korea is difficult to get. I've tried many times to apply for jobs, but the companies almost always require you to have a TOPIK level 4 of fluency in Korean and you need something special. There are a lot of Koreans looking for jobs, so the company needs a reason why they should hire you instead of a Korean. (Sponsoring a visa is quite expensive, so you'd be more expensive for them to hire than a Korean). This could be for example because you speak multiple languages, or you have important work experience, etc. I'm not saying this to discourage you, because companies do still hire foreigners, but I don't want you to get dissapointed either because of how hard it is to get a sponsored visa in Korea. I hope this helps! :)

    • @meshi3373
      @meshi3373 2 роки тому

      @@zuzu thank u, but i do research and i don't think that u can work for only 2 years. I think as long as you have a job in korea then you can renew it numerous times i think. I think there is no limit.
