I was thinking the same thing... I know people with black labs that could NEVER take them on a boat. They're going in the water no matter the temperature and the dogs would love it. I once saw some other breed of dog happily swimming in a golf course pond in Wisconsin in mid April. It was pretty chilly and that dog would NOT leave that pond.... swimming around having a blast while the owner was furious as he got out and made a beeline for that pond (golf course community). I recommended to lure him out with a toy and that worked. I bet the water was around that same temperature.
