350 watt PSU, can it output actual 350 watt ?? I mean not peak sounds, these are chinese watts.. Well it probably cant as speakers need some sort of resistance, but how powerfull can it get in combination of 4ohm, 8 and 16 ohm speakers? This is interesting because even tho it is not a tube amp it could be used as a powerstage by guitarists. That is if it can play 100 watt with 4x12inch speakers running with at least 4ohm impedance. Amps like this are pretty much in use now days with different amp sims. I have one my self. I use BOSS GT-100. It can hook up to a normal guitar amp, but the real magic happens when I hook it up to a PA or a powerstage amp. Then I can make my speakers sound like any tube amp I wish.

@@therealjackfisher no it can't. it says 12A for 12v (yellow cable) 12*12=144 watts or rms (real max power)

One of the mounting screws of the Speaker Terminal gets very close to live parts. It's a really bad idea to use the Metal housing for Audio-Ground because it's connected to the mains Protective Earth and at your electric meter cabinet to neutral. The Heatsinks of the SMPS can be active connected to the mains rectified DC Voltage at around 325V.
Bad things can happen, when you connect your smartphone to it's charger while playing music on this thing. Especially when the XY-capacitors in the SMPS gets leaky.

Class A is the most inefficient of all classes of amplification. But the most ultra linear. It displaces a lot of heat and needs big heatsinks for that reason.

I can help you. As an electronics engineer, I recommend taking a safer route and not the potential fire hazard that is shown on the video. search for TDA chips, they are often sold with their control and protection circuit on a pcb, you can find them very easily on ebay and any other site. the most common one is the TDA7850 it has 4 channels of 50 watt each, if it does not suit you there are many to choose. with the chip you will find instructions on where to connect each component, usually they have a 3pin connector or a 3,5mm jack (or 2 of them) and output directly to the speakers without any extra connections required. keep in mind that you will need a good (large) heatsink for the chip, a single power supply cable does not output more than 100-150 wats so you cannot have very high volumes but even with the TDA7850 it is good enough. And do not ever touch the wires on the mains-side of the power supply. use the on-off switch as it is and connect permanently the green wire to a black one, cut only the mess of black-red-yellow wires. also all those may not fit inside the power supply so maybe leave the whole chip pcb outside. If you need extra help let me know :)
