So much potential. I remember listening to their first album and being excited to hear what their future albums held. One of the biggest let downs I've ever experienced
I remember the first time I heard this song on MTV at 5:00am like 7 years ago and I thought "wow this band is the very fucking best" I still love this song and "shout" aswell, so bad they're not like this anymore
I remember, 9 years ago I heard this awesome, kickass song on MTV. I had so much hope for this band, they had a shit ton of potential ... Who know why the split up.
As artists, they can explore whatever avenue they see fit. I'm still grateful for their first album, they didn't have any obligation of giving me or you anything, but they did anyway, we have that album as a gift, a time capsule. So yeah give the dudes a break and be grateful for having such rad music to listen to, instead of the usual garbage. If they come back to this style someday, that would be great, but that doesn't give me the right to bash on their other stuff.
you are right, and honestly, they were out of touch to their own generation, which is the saddest part; if they were gunna continue to stay relevant, they had to shift. but still, this kid heard Kill 'em All and thought it was "TEH BEST EVUR", and i empathize with that, being a 90s metal kid with equal taste for KoRn and (fuckin)Slayer, skipping school to learn guitar because of the Big Four, Sabbath, Maiden, Priest... (and my principal was cool; he'd call me personally before the bus would come and ask me if i was coming in, and i'd say "im not feeling it today, i need my practice, anyway, I've almost got 'The Four Horsemen' down and I'm not letting the solo in 'Ride The Lightning' beat me." -"Alright, just promise to be here friday to pick up your homework." -"You've got deal.")
"Their own Generation" MY ASS... Look at the creators of Metal back in late 60's and also the Trash Metal guys from the 80's, they didn't give a RAT'S ARSE about their own generation, they were not represented at all, that's the whole point of it !!!! That's the foundation of Metal, to be pioneers and go your own way, go Rogue
The potential. Wow. I remember my little brother bringing me the album and we were blown away. They really were the freshest sound at the time. Too bad they broke up but what do you expect when they're so young. The first album to me is metal through and through. I could see like college basketball or a big network using one of their songs for a thing.
Haha, my 55 year old dad LOVES this song. He said "Sounds exactly like the rock I listened to at your age! Your mother always hated this." Then he laughed. An hour later I get a call from him, he was at a music a store and wanted to know the name of the band again so he could buy all their albums. My dad is a badass.
i remember listen and watch to this on mtv in 2009 when i was only 11 and didn’t knew that their music style changed real bad, i guess this is the only real black tide we ever know and remember
The wasted potential is really sad. They could have been HUGE. I thought they were going to be the first time I heard them and then found out they were still in their mid-teens when this came out.
saw them live on uproar fest in seattle. they played warriors of time as their opener. their new shit still rock and so does black tide. BLACK TIDE IS STILL BADASS
You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the EMOS, not join them. You were supposed to bring balance to the heavy metal, not leave it in darkness.
I've been looking for a live version of this with this range of voice of Gabriel and i couldnt find it, he sings different not bad but different so it makes me think that were one the reasons why they change
They should never have split up. They had the whole wide world at their feet. Surely word would have spread like wild fire and they would have reaped the benefits/rewards. Pity!
@MrFreddiebrandt my roomates best friend from high school is the drummer. He finished high school in Florida. Stayed at my house in Long Beach while Black Tide is recording some stuff in Hollywood maybe 2 weeks ago now
When I just came out this song I loved it, I was around 12 years old but I forgot the name completely to find her so I had been looking for her for almost 10 years. Yesterday I took an old magazine from a market where the new rock promises came and they came in a section of you and the name was made known to me and I pointed it out. Arriving home I searched on UA-cam and after so long I found this song. The bad thing is that Hard Rock magazine considered them a great promise of rock and I see that they were almost forgotten.
The band that broke every metalheads heart...
Bloodyy_Mari I hope that Greta Van Fleet don't do the same

Gabriel Mendes you don't know shit.
Wayne Anderson fuck off
Yep... they turned into a pussy band. I mean they were not bad after this..but... ffs. WHY?
What happened with them?
i miss old black tide
Should I get into them I heard they were thrash but not anymore and they became Emo
Me too!
And me too...
Y AHORA TOCA A SHOCKWAVE
Pffffff 😂🤣😂🤣😂
RIP BLACK TIDE YOU WILL BE MISSED!
They still do gigs at Dairy Queen! Nice job by some dumb shit record company executive he fukd this band over
On God
They had so much potential their first album is a piece of art. They could have become legends.
when they first came out with this song i told myself ..fuck yeah 80s thrash metal like is back! but now..sigh..
+pedro soliano That´s so foking right man....
+pedro soliano Why would that ever be a good thing?
+pedro soliano maybe because of voice issues they have to adjust also there style
+BaconJets you don't have balls, that's why
They were soooo good. That debut album with that lineup ….absolutely insane 🤘🤘🤘
I remembered listening to this when I was 8 before going to school. Honestly I prefer their 1st album comparing to the rest
Everybody does, bro
PERIPHERY!!
I think i was 8 too xD this is the best album ever, their later albums suck!

I will always have a hope for a reunion
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
They were so much better back then!
Yeah i dont really like the new blacktide
The Black Tide kids have talent. they are young but they sound like professionals.

Difference in bashing and critiquing my dude. You cant have compliments without some constructive criticism
Such a b1tch take lmao

holy sh...I have being looking for this song for 12 years since I saw the video on tv when I was a kid...this is the best day of 2024 for me for real
they had such a great classic metal style :( and the music was fucking awesome, the old school guitar solos, the hair, it lyrics, now they are gone :(

How I'd like hear other album like "Light From Above".
ESTA BANDA LA ESCUCHE CUANDO TENIA 21 AÑOS AHORA TENGO 34 Y SIGUE SIENDO UNA BANDA DE METAL QUE JAMAS VA A PASAR DE MODA 🤘
Haha, my 55 year old dad LOVES this song. He said "Sounds exactly like the rock I listened to at your age! Your mother always hated this." Then he laughed. probably wept when he heard their other albums.
Noooo not their other albums :(
There IS hope for the younger generation...
i miss this old style
+angel ricardo La neta, me gustaban mas antes.
Can't help but to be proud of these dudes! The song kicks some thrash metal ass!
This band needs to be on the Radio more often!
yep. puberty hit them hard...
more like fucked them very hard
This IS the hope for the younger generation

Puberty killed his young vocals, and now, it's all metalcore-sounding..
miss old black tide
Extraño a estos black tide :/
The wasted potential is really sad. They could have been HUGE. I thought they were going to be the first time I heard them and then found out they were still in their mid-teens when this came out.
I feel your pain
they could probably be the next Megadeth. Thats what it feels like when i listen to them
miss these guys...they had the attitude back then
¿por qué se convirtieron en emos hardcores? :( iban por buen camino
+Charlotte Addams No Se Tú Pero A Mi Me Gusta Como Son 7u7r..
They had so much potential! Can't believe they wasted it
wow what a great song! they were like 14 back then right? amazing!
i've heard this song a million times, never gets old. first time i heard it was whilst playing skate 2
cuando era black tide :/ eran buenos

Metalero Pornstar Xd
i dont understand how everybody thinks they changed like bands change over time, voices change a little, that doesnt mean they sold out
Wasted potential
Fr
the talent, and musical composition they have is crazy at their age.
I just came here to traumatize you by saying the singer is doing porn now
LMAO
Excellent sounding band and an excellent looking promo.
give me the old black tide please .
They should never have split up. They had the whole wide world at their feet. Surely word would have spread like wild fire and they would have reaped the benefits/rewards. Pity!
These guys were really good. Shame they went emo then broke up. They were so metal for being so young.
Excellent sounding band and excellent looking promo! Whatever happened to them?!
they sold out
If From first to last could come back with their original members, i know one day prob we`ll see the original black tide once again
I saw them in concert with Drive A, escaoe the fate, and bullet for my Valentine. THEY EVEN MORE EPIC LIVE!!!

Go black tide! (Even though they disbanded lol)
Spotted the Bad Brains t - shirt. Cool!

WOW, great sound ..
It's a pity, if only their music keep *heavy* like this
This shit is insane love Black Tide. This is what we need today.
They used to be warriors of time. Now they're lost in the sound.
