Just gotta remember that statistically speaking, field bet is a losing bet no matter how you look at it. However, it is a fun bet! As long as you're aware that money going in is more likely to lose than win, there's really no harm in playing it. I've seen people use it to start their systems or to hedge their pass line during a come-out. It's more likely to win compared to a horn bet, for example. As long as you're not throwing your whole bankroll into it, then I see no issue with it. Depending on the system you're playing or if it's a gut feeling is going to decide how you'll play it.
