I think people underestimate James Gunn and what he can do as people are saying that the new Dc universe might not be that good but seriously James Gunn made one of the most unknown and unpopular team into the best trilogy in marvel and made movies most considered to have all of them in there top 10 Marvel movies list
Nope.. I agree GOTG is a hit .. but, Marvel was very very popular at that time .. He have no other movies, which made a mark on cinema ... BTW, marvel movies are very silly and goofy and the audience love that.. Dc audience is well matured, they want mind games in movies .. if Gunn should have kept Henry, and do not reboot.. things could have been different.
Super Hero fatigue doesn't exist its clear laziness from writers this shouldn't have been the first Flash movie and personally, I wish Warner allowed Snyder and the cast to make a send-off movie where Darkseid invades and wins and Flash is forced to reset the timeline off that and in return, it causes flashpoint and entering the James Gunn universe.
Sorry to disagree with you, but Michael Keaton's Batman WAS my main interest in the movie. Even though I am a fan of Christian Bale's Batman too, I was still a lot more excited to see Keaton play him again in spite of his age (he doesn't even look THAT old to me anyway). I think what most younger audiences fail to understand is how impactful Keaton's portrayal was for both Batman and darker superhero movies in general. I wasn't even born when Batman 89 was released, but I still unknowingly owed a lot to the movie while growing up in the 90s and 00s since it led to the creation of BTAS and the DCAU.
The only hope for us flash fans is that James gunn has mercy on us all and give a classic flash movie, with a actor who is a decent person. Also I really hope they keep barry and not go to wally
🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣 had a feeling flash was going to be a flop even w/o miller’s problems. He was just a bad miscast from the jump. Ezra is just not funny more goofy and tried to hard to be the comedy relief. I pray to God Gunn puts an end to the Barry Allen flash. Didn’t like him in BVS…absolutely couldn’t stand him in in Josstice/Justice league and probably will want to puke when I see the flash on streaming. What a waste synder did and set DC back a whole generation that is now Marvel harden. All DC fans better pray Gunn can resurrect DC b/c they need it!
All dc fans ?? God Gunn??? He is the reason the whole movie failed ... u can say, millet problem and all.. actually world wide audience doesn't even know the problems with miller ... The main reason, for flash flop is - resetting DC.. firing Henry ... You can tell anything to divert the actual reason ... Just see the trend from black adam to Flash -- once wb announced resetting dc ..😊
Seriously been off the DC bandwagon since they declared themselves the serious comic book franchise. The tone of Man of Steel echos through the whole DCU. Arrow verse, 4 different Batman's at once. Warner Bros are bleeding the material dry and pissing on its corpse.
Everything has been made a victim of Gunn and the WBD Regime. Even shows that were absolutely amazing like Young Justice and Stargirl were cancelled. Teen Titans Go! was declared as an Elseworld in Gunn's DCU, so that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about what Gunn's DCU will be like. The Marvel Formula for doing things is outdated. At the rate they're going, a fan could have put four DC films out by now and they would be huge hits. My point is that if the DCU was done by a fan (which Gunn isn't a fan, he couldn't even explain anything about the characters he announced!) then the DCU would be a lot better off.
I’d also say it could be caused by a disinterest in DC, since Marvel is objectively more popular than DC on the silver screen. For example, my friend couldn’t be bothered to see the Flash, but saw all other Marvel films coming out around that time (eg. Spiderverse and Guardians).
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 I agree, but since the DCEU flopped so badly, general audiences aren’t interested in a DC cinematic universe anymore, and since the MCU is more of a household name in this millennium, people are more inclined to see Marvel films. That being said, what DC has to do in order to create a consistence cinematic universe is to have every film be its own unique story that doesn’t depend on interconnectedness

Flash is one of the most interesting DC characters in my opinion, but the film lacked good writing and CGI. The CGI wasn't as bad as people are claiming it to be, but the writing isn't very great either. Weird lines and Barry's whole character arc in this movie was wasted. The film dosent focus much on Flashpoint especially the iterations we have got. I get that its hard to follow the comics portrayal of Flashpoint. But this film just portrays it as Flash vs General Zodd. Which isnt why we want to watch a flash movie. I think movies like No Way Home are very similar to flash, it focused more on fan service rather than being a good film. This movie could have been so much better if they added more cameos, rather than like 100 supermen and 2 batmen. The universe wasn't even reset and now we are left in the clooney verse rather than getting Batfleck back. LIKE WHAT IS THIS MOVIE.
I completely agree it should’ve been Bale younger audiences will still see him as relevant like all the old Spider-Man’s everyone was hyped to see the 3 of them together
Okay ,but Michael Keaton's Batman was by far the best thing about this movie. Edit: I would also like to point out that this is the only Batman we've seen who actually succeeded in cleaning up Gotham. He's the only Batman who won.
Imma be real, while it's was kinda wacky and off ball, I loved this movie!! I had a ton of fun and thought it was awesome. Certainly not without its flaws but still
This being the end of the Barry Allen era wouldn't and isn't hopeful. Barry Allen is the main flash now and he should continue to be the main flash forever.
EXACTLY, it was never ANY of the actors faults on the show, EVERY actor could have been amazing had the writing been good. So even the seasons after 4 COULD have been great had the writing held that same principal.

I absolutely agree. I would see it just for Christian bale and I'm 24 now. Bale is my favorite batman and the one I was introduced to and grew up with and those movies came out when I was 6, 9, and 13 years old.
Supergirl's portrayal in this movie was...odd. Despite being officially a direct adaptation of the original Kara, her backstory is much more similar to Flashpoint Superman's, her appearance is identical to that of the daughter that Injustice Clark had in a dream and her personality resembles more Power Girl's. I don't think the Kara of this movie should be even considered a depiction of the famous blonde chick created in the 60's
I walked out of the theater saying i liked everything that had nothing to do with the flash, that being Micheal Keatons Batman, Sasha Calles Supergirl, and Micheal Shannons Zod
I agree and I think super girl was fantastic and you don't always have to be comic accurate, also the performance from Sasha Calle was honestly amazing, I would watch a super girl movie with her
"Spider-Verse may be the best looking movie of all time" Well... best looking animation, sure I can get behind that, but best looking movie sounds like a bit of a stretch.
it flopped because you can't be the flash right after Grant Gustin. Its like being superman right after Christopher Reeve. Remember what happened? thats right... you don't because it never happened. The Superman after Christopher Reeve was Brandon Routh, a tribute to Christopher Reeve more than A DACADE LATER. imagine doing a tv series or reboot of Iron Man without Robert Downey Jr it just doesn't work Am I talking sense? of course not, I am very very drunk and english is my second language
Don't care what anyone says, while I really WANTED to love wonder woman, the movies are both trash. Both. Trash. Absolute garbage. "Hey let's take little mustache twinkle toes and make him a god, w a tiny CGI head and look as stupid as possible.". Horrible, horrible films. Especially 1984
Listen, from the day the casting came out I knew I wasnt gonna watch it, I've never liked Ezra for the role even before his crime spree. I've only liked him in one film and he was lowkey unhinged in that film
Honestly the biggest mistake was flashpoint i know that hes been the flash for 7 years but grant gustins had to fight zoom and reverse flash and only did flashpoint when zoom killed his dad the flash from the movie did it in its first movie without versing any villain Honestly reverse flash shouldve killed barrys mom and been the villain of the first movie and barry realises he kills his mom just like the show also flashppint shouldve been in the second movie if theirs one also CW flash from s1-5 will always be better than this
I think that if there is any reason why this movie makes money is Michael Keaton, everyone in my audience was there to watch him, even doe I do agree he isn't popular enough to make general audiences go and watch it and make it a box office hit, maybe if this were an actual sequel with everyone of his movies coming back (like Michelle and TIm) he could be, but not as a secondary character in someone else's movie, but the problems are Ezra, the marketing and the DC brand, also the reboot being announced just makes all DC films feel meaningless this year. The film was pretty good, but it wasn't amazing and marketing it that way was a mistake
FUCKING EXACTLY, the whole purpose of THIS movie (which was to reboot the universe) it doesn’t even fuckin do that whatsoever, I mean Ik DC has never had the brightest people over there but how did no one while making the actual movie realize they WERE NOT fulfilling this PURPOSE
The multiverse was used in Dc in the 90’s and if your talking about live action we had it in 2015 in the 2nd season of the flash and crisis on infinite earths (2019)
Sooooo pleased to watch this movie burn!!!! Reap it WBD / Gunn, reap it!!! You fired Cavill, lied to him and treated him like absolute crap!!!!! A gentleman and role model. Yet you retained, protected, protected and provided public support to a vile pathetic stain that’s has attacked and threatened multiple people. Then you expect us to watch a movie that celebrates the worst thing about the DCEU and actively destroys everything we loved about it. Honestly James the Nepotistic Gunn can get stuffed!!!!
I think their biggest mistake was not having Grant as the one and true flash. While the CW Flash has been god awful these past couple of years he in the eyes of many is the better Flash and has always been the better flash
There really is no need for an explanation as to why The Flash movie fell besides Ezra Miller. If they switched the actor for The Flash, I could really see it being more than a success, probably one of the best movies of 2023. However, Ezra Miller ruined that because of the audience's genuine hate for him. Literally, everyone i talked to both in person and online about watching the movie all said the same thing,"I do not want to support Ezra Miller." Seriously, there is no need for any other explanation.
Really unpopular opinion: Ezra Miller's Barry Allen in this movie is a pretty good portrayal of barry. Barry in the comics is older, got his powers when he was older and more mature. Miller's flash was a college kid and he acted like a college kid, up until this movie where we can see him grow out of this and by the end he becomes a more confident, mature and responsible leader. In a few years time , i can see him becoming THE Barry Allen we love from the comics. I liked ezras acting tbh, i hate that he's a criminal and is a shitty person but damn he's a good actor imo.
Yet out of the films you mentioned the flash was still #1 at the box office. Aside from The Flash’s problems which are all valid, he box office itself seems to be in a recession.
That's not true. Spiderverse has become a box office success, and the only reason Flash might be #1 is that there is not a lot of competition right now. There is nothing special about Flash, and nobody wants to see another multiverse movie.

It was a great movie! Just a poor flash movie. The cgi was god awful, the acting in a lot of places seemed forced and downright cringy. There was a lot of sexual innuendos that had me concerned as to what was the director, actor and QC doing when the rough draft of this movie was released.
Can we please take a minute how if they at least followed the comics this movie could’ve at least been better. Keaton should’ve played Thomas Wayne, they should’ve introduced Reverse flash, and if they did the letter scene at the end it would’ve been much better. Just some pointers
I think theres just too many popular movies out right now. It came out right after Little Mermaid, Transformers, Spider-verse, and the same day as a new Pixar movie.
DC can retire live action Flash for now and bring him back in a several years. A successful TV series of The Flash just ended a 9 season run followed by a flop of a theatrical film. Nobody is clamoring for more Flash at this time.
why i didnt bother to see this on opening weekend was because the cgi in the trailers looked sooooo bad, there was this one part that made me go yeahhh this cgi looks soo bad and i thought his suit does as well, but its the part where hes looking up n screaming, just something about his head, it looks so big and not attached to his body
Even the most liberal apologist for Hollywood & it’s innate weirdness thought twice about furthering the ‘career’ of this particular celebutante : borderline criminal. Even separating the artist from their work - this version of the character is questionable in its appeal - & the existing powerhouse fan base of the Flash TV show was made Very aware that this film made Zero effort to give back in kind & include Gustin or Shipp in its sprawling DC ‘Legends’ Multiverse Homage . ( Nic Cage’s unmade Superman? Really??) Essentially the best selling point is it’s heartbreaking grief tale at the center of Barry’s Flashpoint arc. Jack Quaid as Eobard Thawne or Hunter Zolomon.
Why Jack Quaid, I don’t see him fitting the role as either version of Zoom
Funny you mention Jack Quaid because his co-star, Anthony Starr, is actually a great fit for the Reverse Flash
Nah bro that casting is trash sorry mate.
Anthony Starr as reverse flash
Cameron Monaghan as Wally west
THERE
@@KingKhupacabra good casting. Dylan O'Brien can be Barry.
Personal I've always liked the casting of Wilson Bethel as Thawne.
Main reasons:
1. DCEU is getting reset so no one cares.
2. Ezra Miller
3. No Grant Gustin
@@nikxon_musicz I personally disagree but ok
Super Hero fatigue doesn't exist its clear laziness from writers this shouldn't have been the first Flash movie and personally, I wish Warner allowed Snyder and the cast to make a send-off movie where Darkseid invades and wins and Flash is forced to reset the timeline off that and in return, it causes flashpoint and entering the James Gunn universe.
Agreed
Everyone knew deep down that it would suck
Suck at the box office, it's actually a pretty good movie.
The only hope for us flash fans is that James gunn has mercy on us all and give a classic flash movie, with a actor who is a decent person. Also I really hope they keep barry and not go to wally
I think they should start with Barry and then do Wally.
it flopped because of ezra miller
How TF is James Gunn going to convince EVERYONE to go watch his movies? They canceled basically all the DCTV shows. If the DCU flops, it’s Joever.
DC is far better than marvel with the greatest characters in history.
@filmlegend3831 Lol maybe 4 years ago pal.
The M she U is absolute dogshit now. Secret invasion is garbage too. Disney is a hair away from bankruptcy at this point. Over 188 billion in revenue lost in the last 6 months. Feige got too cocky and now it's biting him on the ass because they should have just waited two years then start on X men or Fantastic 4.
When Nintendo is doing making more than Disney you know the company is screwed.
And Batman and Superman alone are bigger household names than anything marvel has.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 "Batman and Superman alone are bigger household names than anything marvel has." lol then why Dceu failed miserably? Iron man captain america guardians thor these characters are now more household names than Batman and Superman.
marvel tv shows may not have the same quality but they already defeated DC in the movie verse.
@@hasan_1888 Because it was badly managed.
The Batman still got a higher rating than any Iron-man movie or Cap.
Dumbass.

Top 10 Best Arrow and Supergirl Episodes!
If he does Arrow S5e8 aka episode 100 (I hope) better be one of them that's actually my favorite episode of Arrow
I can believe the guy who directed this movie is directing Batman the brave and the bold, what a mistake.
The moment they signed on Snyder to make Man of Steel they doomed the entire DCEU. In anyone else's hands it might have actually had a chance.
The idea that Christian Bale's Batman would be a bigger draw than Keaton's is laughable.
It's laughable you believe that
Imma be real, while it's was kinda wacky and off ball, I loved this movie!! I had a ton of fun and thought it was awesome. Certainly not without its flaws but still
i agree 100%
This being the end of the Barry Allen era wouldn't and isn't hopeful. Barry Allen is the main flash now and he should continue to be the main flash forever.
the fact that we got robbed of a jeffrey dean morgan flashpoint batman 😣
for me the worst part of the flash was that batman was the best character of a movie called the flash
they should cast grant gustin from the beginning he's so amazing
EXACTLY, it was never ANY of the actors faults on the show, EVERY actor could have been amazing had the writing been good. So even the seasons after 4 COULD have been great had the writing held that same principal.
He's not lmfo look on his acting vs miller and see who has more emotions
@@x97k8Gustin does
@@x97k8grant does And its not close
@@FlashtimeOFFICIALYTat least grant acts like barry, and has green eyes like barry....no where in miller's barry is he a detective or forensic criminologist its not even hinted at , and barry isnt a goofy jokester....in the comics that person is oliver queen.....
its not like the wb cant get it right hartley's green arrow was comic accurate and their impulse barry allen was good too on smallville
This movie needs at least 700 Milliom to break even with the theater cut
When you said flash was the longest DC show, you forgot about smallville. smallville had 217 episodes and 10 seasons...
anyways great video!
If they wanted a Batman that would draw in audiences, they should’ve done Christian Bale, not that he would agree to doing it.
I absolutely agree. I would see it just for Christian bale and I'm 24 now. Bale is my favorite batman and the one I was introduced to and grew up with and those movies came out when I was 6, 9, and 13 years old.
And I was Born in the late 1990s (1999). Bale's batman is my generation.
Grant gustin should have been casted
Supergirl's portrayal in this movie was...odd. Despite being officially a direct adaptation of the original Kara, her backstory is much more similar to Flashpoint Superman's, her appearance is identical to that of the daughter that Injustice Clark had in a dream and her personality resembles more Power Girl's. I don't think the Kara of this movie should be even considered a depiction of the famous blonde chick created in the 60's
Actually she wasn't odd.
She's based on 2014s Injustice version of Supergirl who had short dark hair.

No super hero fatigue doesn’t exist
Despite what Ezra did I enjoyed this movie. And Keaton is a draw
I agree and I think super girl was fantastic and you don't always have to be comic accurate, also the performance from Sasha Calle was honestly amazing, I would watch a super girl movie with her
Not gonna lie, Batman and Supergirl were bigger highlights in the film for me than the Flash himself... which says a lot.
Honestly, I'm glad Grant isn't attached to this movie AT ALL! Much better off for it as far as I'm concerned...
Talking like the show is good
Wonder how long we have to wait and see flash in the dcu
the studios will never admit that it's their fault, it's their incompetence, not us
Indeed
To be honest I only went to go and see the movie because of Michael Keaton but I do agree on your comments about it
"Spider-Verse may be the best looking movie of all time" Well... best looking animation, sure I can get behind that, but best looking movie sounds like a bit of a stretch.
Still better than The Flash Season 9
fax
While I was a fan of the Snyderverse I felt that Miller was miscasted as Barry - maybe he could have been Wally - but not Barry.
It bombed because it's a terrible movie...plain and simple!!
It’s Flashin’ Time!
it flopped because you can't be the flash right after Grant Gustin. Its like being superman right after Christopher Reeve. Remember what happened? thats right... you don't because it never happened. The Superman after Christopher Reeve was Brandon Routh, a tribute to Christopher Reeve more than A DACADE LATER.
imagine doing a tv series or reboot of Iron Man without Robert Downey Jr it just doesn't work
Am I talking sense? of course not, I am very very drunk and english is my second language
Legit comparing animated vs live action, animated always wins
I cant believe how bad this movie was. How is s1 and s2 of the cw flash infinitely better
At least he actually used his super speed. In the show he just stood there and watched villains run away or punch him
The DCEU has delivered 6 consecutive flops at this point lol.
I've only liked him in one film and he was lowkey unhinged in that film
....Indiana Jones, competition in two weeks....😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
Is it just me or does the flash movie trailer is better than seasons 5-9 of flash?
I can only imagine this movie being 100 times worse if Eric Wallace was the director. Hopefully, they learned their lesson and don't hire him again
Too true
Honestly the biggest mistake was flashpoint i know that hes been the flash for 7 years but grant gustins had to fight zoom and reverse flash and only did flashpoint when zoom killed his dad the flash from the movie did it in its first movie without versing any villain Honestly reverse flash shouldve killed barrys mom and been the villain of the first movie and barry realises he kills his mom just like the show also flashppint shouldve been in the second movie if theirs one also CW flash from s1-5 will always be better than this
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK CANT WAIT TO SEE MORE🔥👑🔥
I think that if there is any reason why this movie makes money is Michael Keaton, everyone in my audience was there to watch him, even doe I do agree he isn't popular enough to make general audiences go and watch it and make it a box office hit, maybe if this were an actual sequel with everyone of his movies coming back (like Michelle and TIm) he could be, but not as a secondary character in someone else's movie, but the problems are Ezra, the marketing and the DC brand, also the reboot being announced just makes all DC films feel meaningless this year.
For me it was all Ezra Miller, he's creeped me out since he became famous
Multiuniverse were interesting just the first time we saw them in No Way Home, but the novelty was already used by Marvel.
Honestly James the Nepotistic Gunn can get stuffed!!!!
yeah but Sasha Calles performance as Supergirl was amazing tho
People still praising gunn .. he literally made reshoots in flash .. to erase entire old dceu.. and literally back fired ...
I liked ezras acting tbh, i hate that he's a criminal and is a shitty person but damn he's a good actor imo.
is too late SPOILER alert i post it just now
The only DC related thing that sparks my interest and I watch is Superman movies and DCAU... and yes I am a casual movie goer
Can you do a new video on Mcu main villains
Yet out of the films you mentioned the flash was still #1 at the box office. Aside from The Flash’s problems which are all valid, he box office itself seems to be in a recession.
That's not true. Spiderverse has become a box office success, and the only reason Flash might be #1 is that there is not a lot of competition right now.
There is nothing special about Flash, and nobody wants to see another multiverse movie.
Dude spiderverse and guardians made bank. This movie is just mid with a forgotten Batman by younger audiences and a criminal as the main character.
@@yugiblox3274 guardians of the galaxy vol 3 and into the spiderverse were made with love, care, and respects the audiences that theyre smart enough to get whats going on....they also kept the plot easy to handle

The Flash was awesome!
General audiences, not avid comic book readers, wanted to see Keaton back as Bruce/Batman.
Because it's bad
Okay, Saying people got paid to praise the movie is cross the line for me. Goodbye, I thought you were a great channel
You gotta start putting actual wrap-up endings on your videos. Summarize or something, but this abrupt ending is bad
i honestly completely forgot ab the second aquaman movie that's how irrelevant the movie jason is a great actor but eh 🤷🏽♀️
why i didnt bother to see this on opening weekend was because the cgi in the trailers looked sooooo bad, there was this one part that made me go yeahhh this cgi looks soo bad and i thought his suit does as well, but its the part where hes looking up n screaming, just something about his head, it looks so big and not attached to his body
grant isn't a better flash actor than miller idk what yall be watching bruh
Even the most liberal apologist for Hollywood & it’s innate weirdness thought twice about furthering the ‘career’ of this particular celebutante : borderline criminal. Even separating the artist from their work - this version of the character is questionable in its appeal - & the existing powerhouse fan base of the Flash TV show was made Very aware that this film made Zero effort to give back in kind & include Gustin or Shipp in its sprawling DC ‘Legends’ Multiverse Homage . ( Nic Cage’s unmade Superman? Really??)
Essentially the best selling point is it’s heartbreaking grief tale at the center of Barry’s Flashpoint arc.
Sauce it up with the by now expected crappy WB CGi Muck -
& in my experience couldn’t even convince lifelong comics or genre fans to see this opening weekend.
Let alone dish out hard earned Netflix & streaming money , in support of a movie that is apparently -
No Better than Ezra.

Is this the trend? First praise a movie now I've seen 30 videos on my feed about why this movie flopped. I think we get it.
I cant believe more people dont think the movie was garbage, non of the jokes really land even worse some being extremly tone def, it destroys literally every character except ezra millers flash and the horrible horrible horrible cgi
Dont see why they have to have a teenage flash. If it was Wally West then i could understand. Barry Allen is about the same age as Batman,Superman and Green Lantern. If the movie was made accordingly without Flashpoint it could have been a grand movie as he has agood colourful rogues gallery!
None of what you said. People like me saw the trailer and said that looks like ass. I'd sooner rewatch The Flashpoint Paradox.
I just dislike Ezra miller. I just dislike his acting.
Kinda sad cause I actually liked this movie every thing sept that end and cgi was good
This dude is a DIM-WITT
Honestly I don't even like the story of the flash movie. I like cw flash s1 and s2 lot more than this random and pointless shit. I mean literally there is nothing in this movie worth watching except some cool scenes. I can wholeheartedly say grant gustin can do 1000 times better than ezer miller. He carried a dead series to 9 seasons. After s2 all other seasons don't have much of story except drama.
If they ever make a movie about Ezra Miller’s crimes, I hope it’s called “Jesus, the Devil, and the Next Messiah”. 😂
