- I made this painting a while ago. A few weeks after I lost my sweetest and dearest mom.
She is with our Heavenly Father now 🙏🏻❤️
My other abstract paintings all have some “Rain” or “water” running down. I never did this knowingly...But I felt the paintings needed that.
With this one, I did not have the need to add the running water..It is finished and done..
It gave me a feeling of rest “Tranquility “ 😊 Just what my mom has now..

I am so sorry for your loss. I got into painting when I lost my mom. I do it to feel closer to the 2 most amazing women in my life who are both with God. My Mom and my Grandma were amazing women. Your work is beautiful!

I'm not an artist but your painting touch me dearly and the music I pictured my son and his soul going to heaven ! we lost are son 9 years ago at 29 it's so hard! But I know where he's at with God! I love and miss him so much! Thanks for the video and I am sorry for your lost!

Losing a child is not the same as a mother.. Though its hard to miss my mom, I have had her with me for 37 years and I am grateful that God has given us 8 precious years after the diagnose of her cancer. The doctors only gave her 1.

Sarah Thank you very much❣️ I only choose the colours and just go where it takes me. This took me a couple of days. I let it rest if I do not know how to go further and then suddenly I know what I want to do next and then I start again 😊

It was relaxing watching you paint this! God I wish I could do something like that! Knowing me, though, I wouldn’t know when to leave it alone and would probably keep messing with it until I ruined it......
Autumn Moon Thank you❣️But I always felt like that! And was anxious to start a painting afraid to mess it up! But when I started acrylic pouring ( you need to let go and the outcome you cant controle) sometimes that did not work out but I had so much fun.. and with pouring you wast so much more paint, but when you let it dry you can pour right over it.. so then I thought: why would’nt I try abstract?? If I dont like it.. i can just paint over it! And so I did.. just a few months ago, and I am learning just to let go and not overthinking it 😊😊

Wow ! Always wanted to try abstract. But now I’m not sure.
carol johnson Thank you❣️ Why?? You know what? I always wanted to paint abstract and did try i lt a few times years ago.. but i made it myself so difficult! Before i even started i was stressing about colors and layout and i felt pressure. So many time i just did not even start and already quit. And some other times I tried to paint a picture that was in my head and that did not come out the way i wanted.
After a year of acrylic pouring ( which is a technique you can not controle..) i thought.. If I can pour and don’t know the outcome of a painting and use so much paint.. I can try abstract and just see where it goes.. and If i don’t like it, i can paint over it! So my first was scary, but I enjoyed it! It is about letting go in your mind, and just do it.. do not over think it. Most of the time I choose the colors and just start and see where it ends.. And I do make these paintings on different days.. I stop at one point and go further the next day or a few days later 😊 I encourage you to go and do it❣️❣️❣️
What kind of brushes do you use? Where did you get the flat brush? So inspired by your work.
Alyssa Vicari Thank you❣️ I got my brushes at a hardware store 😁 And my paletknifes at a paintstore. I just look around in my house to see what I got and at hobbystores.. You can use anything you want 😊
Really interesting work. You obviously had a vision in your head for this one. I was expecting you to turn it around to a landscape format at the end as I thought all the way through that you were depicting an abstract cityscape. How wrong can you be :-) Loved it, thanks.

Thank you ❣️If I remember correctly I used titinium white, black, silver, indigo blue, oker yellow and a little beige. I did mix the colours with eachother to create different variations of the colours 😅

Hi Kenseal, thank you very much! Yes I let the paint dry between the layers, not always when I used my paletknife but when I used the brushes, I did. Oh I don't know how long it took 🙈 I know I painted when I had the time, and it lastest a few weeks, but the total footagetime of the video was probably 2 or 3 hours.. Thank you for watching ❣️
