When comparing the z fold to the Chinese cover screens we should be talking the difference in width of the screens, aspect ratios, and screen area. Diagonal size doesn't tell the whole story. They could just make it taller to increase the diagonal measurement.
Have you tried compare the sound in the bluetooth car audio system? Samsung always well known to have good through the bluetooth.. but I don't know about Honor & Xiaomi.

I think it is important to have a ring or pop up to use a fold securely no matter which phone you have. there is no way to safely and securely use the devices and interface with it unless you are resting it on a table or your lap. People who are simply watching content may not need to. I use the spen for notes which the otther two do not have. I think a tablet function should have the ability to interface with a pen device for productivity and/ or ease of use. If the Vivo x fold 3 had a pen I would have made the plunge. Maybe the next iteration they will add it.

From a tech standpoint, the vs is valid. The Chinese manufactures crush the Z fold 6. BUT if we look at value - cant beat the Samsung Z fold 6 - Price. The ZF6 if bought correct (and I mean with discounts) can be had for less than half of retail cost. I picked up the zf6 256g for around 900USD from Samsung online (EDU Store + Tradein pre order bonus). The Xiaomi and Honor Magic are easily $1400USD+. If it were purchased at retail - NO WAY ZF6 - but at 900USD it can not be beat on value - despite the shortcomings…
The only thing that Samsung has on these other phones is the software and the 7 years of guaranteed software updates which is reason enough to buy. I absolutely hate the cameras but with the trade ins, I feel like it’s more bang for your buck.

You can't really get a good comparison when looking at them all individually. Also, i do think the fold six has the best speaker set up out of all of them, but I didn't really hear you comment or give your opinion on that. I'm a long time fold user and want to switch, but i'm too concerned about wireless coverage with a chinese device. Majority of UA-camrs and media when it comes to Apple 🍏: "Wow 😮 , the iPhone 13 Mini is the smartphone I've always dreamed of 😍 🤗, easy to use and tap with one hand 🤩🥰 👌🏽" The same youtubers and media when it comes to Samsung: "The Fold 6 is too narrow 😒😬, it's nonsense from Samsung😡😤🤬" And yet, the external screen of the Fold 6 is much wider than that of the iPhone 13 Mini, it is even only slightly less wide than that of the iPhones X/11 Pro by 2-3mm 🤷🏽♂️ For some the external screen of the Fold 6 is perfect, but, in my opinion, the external screen of the Galaxy Fold is still missing 2-3mm of width to be "perfect for everyone" (the same width as an iPhone X/11 Pro), a better main sensor, a 64mp sensor like the OnePlus Open/12 for zoom, 9-10mm maximum thickness, and especially, plus 400-500mAh of battery 🔋 capacity, on the other hand (apart from Huawei/Honor), the size (thickness) of the competitors' photo blocks is really too imposing, almost as thick as the smartphone itself 🤷🏽♂️ Ps: A Galaxy Fold with an external screen 3-4mm wider than the Fold 6 and with the same height as an S24 Ultra would be perfect, both for the ease of use of the external screen, and for the ratio of the internal screen which will be more rectangular than square. 🙏🏽

Honor magic v3 is clearly the winner for two reasons, it has impressive specs and will be released globally in September. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 packs some next level hardware but it is China exclusive which means terrible software experience (ton of problems regarding the Chinese rom including most apps are not optimized for the inner screen beside other things that don't work that ruin the whole experience). Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks 6 years old lol. STAY AWAY FROM THE CHINESE ROM AND ONLY GET A PHONE WITH A GLOBAL ROM.

Average Dad and many other UA-camr's can get on Samsung's case all they want with whatever is missing on their phones. But let's never forget that if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here having many choices on foldables and having these discussions and comparisons. I agree that Samsung let other's catch up and beat them to a certain extent but they still deserve some respect in this category no matter what. Good luck getting some next 3,4,5 year software update. Good luck getting screen or degraded battery replacement with some care plan in maybe a year and half. Maybe try serch when did vivo fold 1st gen update firmware in 2023, and what safety package was brought to galaxy s20 in May 2024.
Somehow, I don't like these huge camera bumbs. The phone is thin true but these huge bumbs ruin everything. What is at the end the benefit of having it thin when the bumb looks out 5mm ... I also did not like the huge bumb on the Xiaomi 12s Ultra ...
Well I got used to those big bumps for more than 3 years. I was thinking the same way as you 3 years ago but then when I got Xiaomi 11 ultra with a big bump, I loved it. I understand it is down to your own preference. Take care.
I have a mi 10 and a magic 5 pro, and I love the honor phone but cameras are disappointing but not bad at all. I mean that even mi 10 main camera's performance is better in some areas like night photos and stability.
Just one thing about the Magic V3 to be careful about. It seems to have the worst 4G/5G band support of any of the devices If that's not a problem for you though, it looks to be the best device of the three (the Vivo also has better band support, probably because the modem is the same in the Global version)

@halgrynshaun you're on your own if something goes sideway, that's why it's better to buy from a reputable company like Wonda mobile since they offer support with no issues. I highly doubt that he will accept returns in 14 days like he stated in his video.
To me the Xiaomi camera module looks like a shield and I think it looks awesome. And I think I want it 😅 I will say it looks like OPPO/OnePlus are still the king of inner displays. Can't wait to see what the OnePlus Open 2 looks like next year
Keep in mind that Xiaomi mix Fold 4 is China exclusive which means the software experience is pretty trash because a lot of things don't work. In general, phones like this one that runs a Chinese rom is not optimized to work in western countries.

Samsung has NFC, while Honor & Xiaomi I'm not sure. Then, Samsung & Honor have desktop mode (something like DeX), while Xiaomi don't support it. I'm Samsung user, I'm thinking switching to Honor is more seamless, compared to Xiaomi. 😃
Well, if you are looking for seamless experience with Honor magic v3 then you should definitely get the global version which will be available globally in September. If you get the Chinese version, the whole software experience will be terrible and a lot of stuff won't work.

Last observation. The fold speakers was very clear. I am not the best audio critic but I felt the other devices audio was a bit surpressed.

this only applies to certain countries, specifically US. other places in the world, the trade in and other discounts massively suck.

Ps: A Galaxy Fold with an external screen 3-4mm wider than the Fold 6 and with the same height as an S24 Ultra would be perfect, both for the ease of use of the external screen, and for the ratio of the internal screen which will be more rectangular than square.

Honor magic v3 is clearly the winner for two reasons, it has impressive specs and will be released globally in September. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 packs some next level hardware but it is China exclusive which means terrible software experience (ton of problems regarding the Chinese rom including most apps are not optimized for the inner screen beside other things that don't work that ruin the whole experience). Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks 6 years old lol. STAY AWAY FROM THE CHINESE ROM AND ONLY GET A PHONE WITH A GLOBAL ROM.

Average Dad and many other UA-camr's can get on Samsung's case all they want with whatever is missing on their phones. But let's never forget that if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here having many choices on foldables and having these discussions and comparisons. I agree that Samsung let other's catch up and beat them to a certain extent but they still deserve some respect in this category no matter what. It's unbelievable to think that most folks here are happily mocking them with the I'm sure "Dumb Smirk" on their faces. But if I'm being honest, that's being a hypocrite. Oh and before anyone says it, you are free to say what you want but just because you do, it still doesn't make it right! Just to be clear, I am not "Team Anyone". I'm just a tech enthusiast like most of you who's willing to look and think outside the box and appreciate who and what got us here to this point. We should all be thanking Samsung for their innovation, taking bold steps and for what they started, that's all I am saying.

Good luck getting some next 3,4,5 year software update. Good luck getting screen or degraded battery replacement with some care plan in maybe a year and half. Maybe try serch when did vivo fold 1st gen update firmware in 2023, and what safety package was brought to galaxy s20 in May 2024.

Somehow, I don't like these huge camera bumbs. The phone is thin true but these huge bumbs ruin everything. What is at the end the benefit of having it thin when the bumb looks out 5mm ...

Well I got used to those big bumps for more than 3 years. I was thinking the same way as you 3 years ago but then when I got Xiaomi 11 ultra with a big bump, I loved it. I understand it is down to your own preference. Take care.

I have a mi 10 and a magic 5 pro, and I love the honor phone but cameras are disappointing but not bad at all. I mean that even mi 10 main camera's performance is better in some areas like night photos and stability.

Just one thing about the Magic V3 to be careful about. It seems to have the worst 4G/5G band support of any of the devices
If that's not a problem for you though, it looks to be the best device of the three (the Vivo also has better band support, probably because the modem is the same in the Global version)

@halgrynshaun you're on your own if something goes sideway, that's why it's better to buy from a reputable company like Wonda mobile since they offer support with no issues. I highly doubt that he will accept returns in 14 days like he stated in his video.

Keep in mind that Xiaomi mix Fold 4 is China exclusive which means the software experience is pretty trash because a lot of things don't work. In general, phones like this one that runs a Chinese rom is not optimized to work in western countries.
@@Frank-j4r I have a OPPO Find X7U so I'm well aware of the compromises that comes with a Chinese rom. But in my experience it's not necessarily a problem.

Samsung has NFC, while Honor & Xiaomi I'm not sure. Then, Samsung & Honor have desktop mode (something like DeX), while Xiaomi don't support it. I'm Samsung user, I'm thinking switching to Honor is more seamless, compared to Xiaomi. 😃
Well, if you are looking for seamless experience with Honor magic v3 then you should definitely get the global version which will be available globally in September. If you get the Chinese version, the whole software experience will be terrible and a lot of stuff won't work.
