I’m glad you appreciated Dick Van Dyke. I’m 62 and he was a legend when I was a kid! This is a great tribute by Chris and Coldplay to an actual Legend. Thanks for your reaction. 👍
I never get tired of watching this music video. It’s so beautiful! Loved watching your reaction. Go visit your grandma. She would love to see you. I don’t have my grandparents anymore and I just lost my dad. Go see her and hear her stories. Write them down. ❤️
Oh my goodness! I've known this was out, but haven't seen it until now. I was actually LIVING during the Dick Van Dyke show and this was a tremendous tribute to him and love, especially love of family. I can see it meant a lot to you, as well. This is my first time on your channel. Thank you.
Oh James. I was so moved when I saw Dick Van Dyke and Chris from Coldplay interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel just a few days ago. That interview is worth watching; I've kept it in my watch history. It's on YT; you can search for "Chris Martin & Dick Van Dyke on Making All My Love Music Video, Mary Poppins & Dick Turning 99" (on Jimmy Kimmel Live channel). Gives a little backstory about how this collaboration came about. DVD is 99 yrs old; his oldest son is 78 and his "younger" one is 74. An incredible man, and he and Chris developed such an unlikely yet beautiful friendship. Wishing you all the best. P.S. In the interview, they said the official release date for the video is Dec. 13th, which is DVD's actual 99th birthday :) Guess we'll see the difference between it and this "Director's Cut) soon enough.
I loved that too! The part where Barry, the 78 year old son asked his dad if they could use the pool slide! That was a great interview…. I’ve been binging on this video! Love it so much
I watched Mary Poppins as a child too but my favorite of his that I also watched was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It is about a magical car. Watch it. You will love it.
I love this. Thanks so much. I don't fear the end, either. When I go, a part of everything good in me will go into everyone I love. Life is amazing and a gift. Use that gift to create happiness within yourself. You take your happiness and spread it around. You are the light.
Always a gentleman you are. Never any cussing or cursing. Don't ever change to keep up with what is popular. Just stay your humble wonderful self. Much love from washington state
Yes, it is the same Dick Van Dyke from our childhood from Mary Poppins and more! This is a great video! I cried when he was dancing like he did in his shows and movies. Mary Poppins was before my time too but it reminds me on Christmas Eve to see after having dinner at my Grandma's in Detroit. He was married for 36 years and 4 children. He met his second wife that truly loves him for he is. That is so precious. I am so thankful that he is still with us. Dick Van Dyke is a precious treasure! I love this video cut! I cried since I honor this man so much due to my grandparents and parents. He felt it was ok. Thank you for your video!
😭Geezus! Thank you SO MUCH for putting this out here on YT reactions. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise I don't think...AN I NEEDED THIS....more than you know😘😘😘😘
Loved your reaction . it was simply Beautiful , make the most of your grandparents ask them everything about their lives and take pleasure in them and all you do together x
Thank you, James! I reeeally enjoyed watching this incredibly emotive new Coldplay video with you. I’ve seen it many times before already, and could watch it many, many more times over. Cherish every day and moment with your Grandma, James. ❤️ Nobody loved me like my Grandma did. We lost her in November 2020. She was my rock and I still miss her every day.
I just watched this yesterday, now watching with you! LOVE it! Grew up with Dick Van Dyke and that movie "Mary Poppins" too! Thank you darlin'! Beautiful!
Hi James, just a quick question. I made a donation request for Tori via CashApp. It expired and came back to me. Is that acceptable or you aren’t doing that anymore? Either way Merry Christmas to you and yours! ❤ Joe
If you are up for a react on one of the best german musicians then I would recommend: ua-cam.com/video/_9CnnYhFQHY/v-deo.html This got reaction from all around the world, it's highly emotional. The singer lost his wife and brother in matter of a few weeks to cancer. He wrote this masterpiece to cope with the feelings of loss.
I'm so glad this was done before we lost him. He just turned 99. Amazing that he can still move and dance. He's a LEGEND!
Happy 99th Birthday TODAY, Dick Van Dyke! Thank you for all the memories!! ♥
That's the most beautiful video, I've watched it a bunch of times since I discovered it a couple days ago. Brings a tear to my eyes everytime.

And you are so right to cherish every moment with your grandma.

I hope you check out "The Dick Van Dyke Show" at some point -- it's a classic with amazing writing, comedy, and cast. It never gets old.
Heartfelt reaction ❤
Check out Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 1968, you'll love his performance in that!
Also check out his brother Jerry playing the banjo, a great comedian..
