Whodunnit? was a British television game show that originally aired on ITV as a pilot on 15 August 1972, hosted by Shaw Taylor, and then became a full series, which ran from 25 June 1973 to 26 June 1978. The series was first hosted by Edward Woodward in 1973 and then, following his departure from Doctor Who, hosted by Jon Pertwee from 1974 to 1978. Each week it featured a short murder-mystery drama enacted in front of a panel of celebrity guests who then had to establish who the murderer was. Anouska Hempel and Patrick Mower became permanent panellists from series 3 onwards, with two guest celebrities each episode. The panel members could interview the remaining characters, with the proviso that only the murderer could lie. Each panellist could also request to see a short replay of one section of the initial drama, which would often include events as they occurred and flashbacks as seen and narrated by individual suspects. At the end the compere would reveal the murderer with the catchphrase "would the real whodunnit please stand up?".

My god, my brain is about to explode watching all theses actors when they were younger. David Yip !A proper time machine this program.
Anyone else getting a kick out of seeing Jon Pertwee in a spaceship setting, and often saying the name Joe/Jo....or is it just me? ❤❤
I'm sure few people love the connection
Guessed it and caught the big clue too!
I loved this programme from the very start with Edward Woodward then to the great Jon Pertwee taking over. It's so good to see these again after all these years, thank you :)
You're very welcome...enjoy
I can only just remember (I was pretty young) but I think this was the episode my mother switched off and she never watched it again - she couldn't stand Anouska Hempel. She was furious they'd 'ruined HER favourite programme'. Took her a couple of weeks to stop being angry with them!
How can anyone dislike Anouska Kempel she's gorgeous intelligent with a great personality
The photographer is terrific !
The guy who was the victim appeared in the Alan Partridge show as a gangster guest.
R.IP Actress Patricia Brake passed away 28 May 2022.
6:23 - The boom mic comes into shot just for a second here above the actress when she says "Ralph".
Goodness, it's Alan Ford aka Terry Norton of Knowing Me, Knowing You fame.

Lot of great actors in this one. I knew that I knew who the photographer man was, it's Duncan from Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves!
He was 48 years old when this was 1st broadcast 😵💫
