Am I the only one noticing that each of their more mellowish songs seem to have a great layout for a more heavy song? I constantly hear the songs starting to pick up but then they just seem to drop back into what they were doing before.
With that said I still really liked the album and its mellowy-ness.

This! I was expecting especially that song would pick up and become heavier like any moment. But that did not really happen, to my disappointment. :/

These waterfalls, I’ve seen a million times
They wash away the world that I see, and cover up my mind
And I can push the walls away until they’re out of sight and mind
But I’m not strong enough to stand alone here in this tide
    I don’t want to, I’m not trying
I wish it would just go away
And then I see red, I see red, I see red, I see red
These situations make me feel so cold
It’s like I’ve been replaced by someone I don’t know
And I can say the words until I’ve said all I can say
But without you I’m a fraction of who I’m supposed to be
Breathe me in and take me under
Crack these walls and let’s start again
And then I see red, I see red, I see red, I see red
I see red, I see red, I see red, I see red
We can run, we can hide
But we can’t live without it
It’s the same in us, it takes the flame in us
And we can love, we can hate, we can’t live without it
We're not alone, there’s more to this
We can run, we can hide
But we can't live without it
It's the same in us, it takes the flame in us
And we can love, we can hate, we can't live without it
We're not alone, there's more to this
There’s nothin’ left but the sound of my heart
There’s nothin’ left but the strings on this guitar
Take it all, take the hurt and heartache, help me start again
There's nothin' left but the sound of my heart
There's nothin' left but the strings on this guitar
Take it all, take the hurt and heartache, help me start again
And we can run, we can hide

Paula; you took the time, so cool; I was just listening while occupied but for some reason, , had to *see* the lyrics; not the version i know.. I hit comments to find this cuz a little voice said to.. All that In a split second lol. and it said looky here.. Lol. Now I gotta listen again and pay attention.
I need some adjustment or healing today..always.. Its important to know who the artist "is' when hearing their songs.. Somedays it goes pretty deep..and is needed in heart there..thanks for doing this, iac..

THAT should have been the chorus!!!

I get that the first half and second are almost completely different, but that's what attracts me. It's a nice change. Not every song needs the same pattern: chorus, bridge then finale like every other single song out there. It's got a pleasant melody and beautiful lyrics, and TFK wanted this to be something different. As their fans, we should appreciate that.

This album feels a lot like The Flame In All Of Us.. Trevor is still the best vocalist in Christian rock, but the music just feels a little too laid back and the overall sound just lacks the swagger and energy of their better albums. I will still pick up the CD to support the band, but unless this grows on me big time, it will never reach the amount of 'times listened to' as Phenomenon, Welcome to the Masquerade, or The End is Where We Begin.

Trevor Cash Red is great (even though I didn't really like their most recent CD). While they both have a good vocal tone and big range, I think the shout/yell rock sound that Trevor can do is more rare and difficult to master than the full scream that Barnes does during Red's heavier moments. Both are amazing, though.

What a beautiful, honest, humble, heartfelt and relatable song! Finally a song that speaks to the challenges many people go through...not a "just say anything to make money" kind of song but a song with honesty, truth and realness.
What a great "GOD, this storm is way bigger than what I can handle on my own strength. In my weakness, I need YOUR strength to carry me through" kind of song.
Thank you for writing a song that speaks from the heart Trevor! We as Christians go through life events like everyone else. We are not different than other people, only in word, deed, speech, actions, behavior (at least trying to follow the examples of Jesus Christ).

Why is everyone complaining about the second half? Both parts are beautiful and it matches the whole song quite well with the message it's trying to put.
The reason why they're so different is because it's portraying two different emotions.
The first half is wanting to give up since you're all alone and the second half is seeing that there are others like you and you shouldn't give up and you should give yourself a second chance.
That's how I see it anyway.

Of the softer songs on this album, I think this is the best. I had to listen to it a few times to decided if I really liked it but now I am hooked. I suppose I will give my opinion of the entire album. Its awesome hearing your range Trevor, I just think it will be difficult for you to hit all of these notes live. I do think it is cool that you've tried some different things; every song cannot be a "heavy" song as much as I love the hard rock. Some of the melodies do not seem to match this band's talent. It is a great album, and is probably the most blatantly "Christian" album that you've made which is great. This is not your best work, but it is still good. Keep making music as long as the Lord allows.

In all seriousness though, incest is the act of having sexual relations with someone biologically related to you, or in some places, has an affinity (law) with you. Having feelings for each other isn't incest, nor is sharing a simple kiss.
